What a rip-off. First they won't let you inside, therefore you can't see what you're buying. You order outside the door and then they bring your order out to you in a bag. It wouldn't be a big deal except that when I got home and open the bag I found out that each bagel was not much bigger than a baby's fist yet they charged me $9 for half a dozen. I can go to Panera and get a half dozen for $6.99 and they're regular size bagels. In today's day and age local needs to be doing it better than their larger competitors. I was alerted to Thom's Bread by noticing all the four and five star reviews on Yelp. This place lives up to those reviews - I was really impressed by their Pizza Margherita. The crust is flavorful and has the perfect texture, it has just the right amount of tomato sauce and olive oil, and the mozzarella and basil are fresh and good. It was better than many I've had in New York. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They even treated me and my wife to some delicious complimentary waffles, which were quite good. The only complaint I have is that they could improve their variety of drinks to choose from but don't let that deter you from their delicious pizza. read more

Easily the best pizza in Lancaster county. I may even say the best bakery in Lancaster county. Everything is always so fresh, and well-prepared. I have never gotten anything from there that wasn't delicious. Their rosemary bread is seriously the best, and I could eat sugar waffles until I become a sugar waffle. Also, the employees are knowledgeable and always provide excellent customer service. Thom is running a great business! I hope to see this local business thrive for many years to come. read more

Frustrating place for me since I was going there just for the pizza. They had a pizza guy that was incredible, he always tried out new ideas for pies on me and everything he came up with was amazing, problem was the owner didn't want to put any effort into the pizza part of the business and wanted to keep it simple, he had a gem and couldn't see it, much better than any bread he made, well that pizza guy left, probably to use his skills somewhere where they would be appreciated. Last time I went the pizza wasn't as good and the 2 kids behind the counter would rather play on their phones than serve the customers. Sad. read more

Thoms Bread is an artisinal bakery offering various breads, freshly made pizza, waffles and coffees. They are located in a small shopping center next to a beer distributor that is not visible from a highly travelled road right off of Rt. 30. The space is lit mostly from large storefront windows and is small but very clean. A delectable spread of their products is easily browsed behind a glass display with additional packaged breads (including day old bread at a discounted price) and granola on a rack that customers can access themselves. Everything looks fresh and delicious. I had never been to Thoms and decided to give it a try today. The pizzas on display looked appetizing so I ordered their cheese pizza for $6.95 plus tax (pepperoni was also available for an additional $1). I assumed the pie on display would be thrown into the oven to be warmed but instead a new one was made fresh to order and placed in an Italian oven with a rotating stone. Fresh basil was then offered, which I quickly agreed to, and was picked from plants growing in the windowsill. As the pizza came out of the oven it was finished with the basil leaves and extra virgin olive oil delicately drizzled on top. The pizza only took a couple minutes from the time I ordered to having it in hand. This Margherita pizza was great. Everything was light, fresh and balanced and could certainly contend as one of the best pies in the area. I will definitely return to Thoms Bread for another pizza and to try some of their other items. Their loaves and rolls looked rustic with hearty crusts and I am a sucker for a great Everything bagel, which they offer. Make an effort sometime to go there...I doubt you will be disappointed. read more

Tried Thom's for the first time today after seeing several recommendations on a local Facebook Takeout Page. Ordered three pizzas for takeout: Cheese, Margarita, and Sausage and Peppers. I stopped by on the recommendation of Thom's business neighbor for lunch. I asked what was good? She told me everything. We ordered the pepperoni pizza. First trip there and I walked out with pretty much any and all I could put my hands on. She was right. Everything was delicious, such as the cinnamon bread, muffins, pizza dough for later quick convenient dinner at home, some out of this world chocolate bread, sourdough bread and ciabbata rolls.
