The entire lower level smells like sewer. When i asked why it was so terrible, i was told it was a broken sewer line. Great. Later that week i ask for a refund and was still charged for an entire month i never went here even after i followed directions exactly as it was posted online. Good job way to steal my money. read more

Consumer beware. Policy is must be in person to cancel regular membership. Not over the phone or by email or by mail. This is poor customer service and a greedy grab for a couple more months of membership fees. We are all busy and feeling the financial strain these days. This policy is shady. read more

Thoerbeckes does not provide customers with a hard copy of the contract, as would be required under Washington's Unfair Business Practices statute as it applies to gyms. Didn't get a digital copy either. There are a bunch of hidden service fees which presumably would only be found in the contract -- they definitely are not stated on the website. You will not be told when you are charged these fees either. No invoice or notification. In my case, they charged me $23.5 for a credit card charge that was declined but where the issue was cleared by the next business day. Heard about it from the credit card company, not a peep from Thoerbeckes even after they charged the fee. Only learned about the fee by calling a month later to ask about the bill. EDIT: Finally got a copy of the contract. This is crazy bad, one of the worst I've seen in my life... Imagine you are 5 days late with a payment, maybe because your card got stolen, or some other reason. Thorbeckes can charge you $23.5 per credit decline, which would likely happen daily. They do not have to inform you about the payment problem. You would owe $117.5 and you haven't even hit the late fee which kicks in at 10 days (the fee exists, but haven't found an exact amount in the contract). I think it's very clear why Thoerbeckes wouldn't present the contract in paper as required by RCW 19.142.030. They don't want you to read it, these terms are not normal. read more

This place is so trash, so overpriced for such limited machines. NO ONE at all follows COVID rules, no masks at all, no separations in machines, it's a COVID hot box in here. There needs to be more rules and they need to be enforced. read more

I just joined the gym yesterday. Really great experience! Marie, at the front desk helped us. She was so friendly, kind, and patient-- explaining all the services offered, and benefits to members. We even got a free t-shirt! I think getting in shape here, is gonna be great fun! read more

We moved here about 6 months ago. We definitely wanted to find a gym because of the amount of raining it does. Something to keep us active, and dry. Thorbeckes has more than met our standard. A few locations, plenty of equipment, friendly staff, and activity for our kids. They love rock climbing, swimming, and taking advantage of other programs. We have no family out here and the parents night out included in the family membership is AMAZING. I can still connect with my husband, and have a safe place for the kids to enjoy while we're out. Not Happy with the service I just received.. Back in October of 2017 I went in and cancelled my membership and asked the person if I owed anything or needed to write a cancel notice and I was told no everything was good too go... come too find out it wasn't no cancelation was done because it got sent to collections which I just found out last week... so I called three times to talk to accounting and never got a call back.. today I called again and finally got to speak too someone and I explained what happened and she told me that they tried too contact me but in November I had got a new phone & number, Gym membership as well as moved I never received anything and she told me I should have let them know when there should have been no more contact needed because I thought things were canceled out per the team members statement so why would I let them know? she proceeded to tell me that's my fault for not letting them know even though I cancelled back in October then she told me it my fault that I didn't write out a cancellation when I asked the team member helping me at the time if I needed to and was told no.. as I was explaining stuff too her and saying it wasn't my fault that I moved or got a new phone and I shouldn't have had too let them know she goes " Yeah got it that's not your fault either you know normal people make sure all their memberships are taken care of before they move or anything" she told me there was nothing she could do about it beside put a note that I talked to someone in October of last year and that it's not her fault and I just needed to pay it at this point I asked if there was anyone else I could talk too she told me no so I asked her again if there was someone above her I could talk too she told me she would give my number too the owner and he would call me back " if he wanted too because he didn't have time too deal with this" it's really upsetting to be treated like I don't matter and to be talked too like I'm stupid I had been think about starting a new membership with them and this has now deterred me from wanting anything to do with this gym read more

Had a laser tag birthday party and it was so much fun. They really go all out to get it set up in what is normally the basketball court area. I didn't expect it to be so cool. The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave. Dakota (I think that was his name but I could be wrong) was so helpful and he made my son feel special on his bday. I will probably be back for my daughter's bday now. read more
