I didn't have the opportunity in meeting the doctor face to face, but he did take the time to call me a few times to discuss the issue with my cat. From the phone conversations, I must say that he was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. My cat, Toaster, seemed to be ok with the way he was treated. I was late because my 16-year-old dog had a full-blown seizure in the car on the way there. Something they are fully aware can happen when he is in the car. And they refused to see me. They turned me away. My dog is 16 years old and is, quite honestly, on his deathbed. He is in the final days of his life, and my doctor knows that. All I needed was for his cast to be removed. A procedure that would have taken approximately five minutes. After 11 years of being a patient there, I cannot understand how there could be so little compassion or flexibility in a situation like this. I wasn't late because I was careless or disrespectful of their time. I was late because my elderly, dying dog had a seizure in my car. I am heartbroken, angry, and deeply disappointed that this is how I was treated! Especially by a doctor who knows exactly what my dog and I are going through right now. My boy is a 100lb Dogo Argentino and I knew he'd have to be sedated. I asked when we would schedule it. The Dr told me now, can't risk infection. They took him knocked him out, cut the nail completely back and gave him back to me. We left with antibiotics and some pain meds. I kept him bandaged and he did great. However, it did last long enough for the vet to recommend meds and services that add up to over $1000.00. Bad attitude, I would call it hostile, and apparently solely based on us lacking our dog's records, which our previous vet said they would furnish to this vet. The vet must have repeated that she "needs the records" a half dozen times. Really??? Every other time we switched vets over the years, and we've had many dogs, they never made such a big deal about it, and proceeded to conduct the exam without them. Not this vet, it was as if she either refused to give a comprehensive exam because there were no records, or that she was incapable of conducting an exam without them, even though we told her we'd provide as much info as we could recall, including any meds or procedures. But she blew us off. This vet gets good reviews, but she also gets a significant number of bad one's, mine included. Hard pass.

Instead of doing any testing, because why waste time, he decides to prescribe him medication for flatulence. Our fur baby had tapeworms...not gas. The symptoms should've been a dead giveaway for a seasoned vet. We found out about his tapeworms AND his fractured tooth from a different practice. A practice that cares. Not to mention, after ten appointments, the receptionist finally asked for our dog's records. TEN APPOINTMENTS. Also, the vet only prescribed our dog heartworm medication, not a preventative for all worms. This practice had us purchase a flea and tick treatment but told us to apply it ourselves.
