On 8/18/19 I came into Thread Brow Studio because the place I've been going for years (Just Stringz) was closed and I just couldn't wait. So, I goggled eyebrow threading and Thread BROW studio was the first result in my search that was near by. Let me tell you, the place is a good size and very cozy,open area. Walked in and I was sitted and serviced right away. Rozina did my eyebrows and they turned out amazing!!!! Not to thick but not to thin, I loved my eyebrows. Price is the same as my previous place, $12 which I'm used to paying. I don't recommend going if you want uneven/thin brows. I went in with full brows and requested a simple clean up. I expressed to her before that I don't like my brows thin.... The lady ended up reshaping my brows and they came out way too thin and weren't even at all. read more

Save yourself the trouble and never go here. I have had two terrible experiences at this Brow salon. After I first moved to San Antonio, I went in for a normal eyebrow wax. I left with my skin burnt and ripped off that I had to be medicated to grow and heal back for two weeks. I spoke with the owner and she apologized and convinced me to give them another try. She suggested that I do the threading and eyebrow tinting. I came in for my second treatment as suggested and stressed the importance of not wanting my eyebrows to be too dark from the tinting, but a nice dark blonde tint. After a 10 minute tint, the consultant said, "Ohhh you definitely need to go less time next time you get a tint. We did 10 minutes this time but never go over 8 minutes again." Now I have the most black eyebrows with my pale complexion and naturally blonde hair. My fiancé was livid for the first hour when I got home, and now he can't start making Eugene Levy jokes about my obnoxious eyebrows. read more

Very little pain too! Got my lip done and FUCKIN OUCH, but worth it. So so worth it. I will absolutely be coming back here. I've been to this salon about 3 times now to do my eyebrows and do like their service. However, each time I've come- the owner is never wearing a mask. This was before the mask mandate and once after it was not required. When I went this past time I politely asked the owner to put on her mask after waiting for a while to give her a chance to put it on and when I asked her she said "I do mind, it's not required so I'm not gonna do it." I said "Well I've had friends and family members die of it" to which she just said "awh" and walked away. During my service too when I was talking to Shahin she interjected in our conversation and kept walking around my chair and getting close to me. My thing is, if I asked you to put a mask and you don't want to- fine. But constantly getting near me and making me feel uncomfortable? That is unprofessional and rude and you're clearly trying to make a statement. Finally at the end when I paid I told her to hear me out and explained my reasoning for wearing a mask and she just said "I'm sorry about your family member but I don't believe it and it's not required so I won't wear it." I don't know if she doesn't believe we're in a pandemic or if it's because she doesn't believe in a mask preventing the virus? But when there is science behind it and even when A CUSTOMER is politely asking you to put it on (at least while they're there) I think it's only right to do so. Also - we're in the middle of a pandemic. There is science that this virus is highly contagious. Anyone who has taken a basic biology course or even read information that the CDC has put out is smart enough to put on a mask. And even if you don't believe it, it literally does no harm whatsoever. Clearly the owner hasn't been personally affected by the virus and she doesn't really care about the greater good of humankind so I personally will not be going to this salon and not recommending it to any of my friends simply because of how terrible the customer service was. I've been to Thread Brow Studio a few times and there have been small things here and there that I just brush off but still continue to go because I love their work and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Today I went (during covid) and was sooooo disappointed at how they operate, not sure if I'd honestly go back. I walked in and both workers were occupied and they told me to have a seat on the coach. No temperature checks, nothing. After me walked in about 6-8 other people, they kept directing them to sit in the waiting area. The waiting area just kept getting crowded and no one social distancing. Im not sure about everyone else but I had scheduled an appointment so not sure if everyone else had an appointment or if they were walk ins. Regardless they were understaffed and made me super uncomfortable with the lack of social distancing and temperature checks. I almost walked out. After waiting about 10 minutes I finally got called and the lady was just spray sanitizing the brushes, not even getting new ones! I would normally recommend this place but definitely not during covid. Of all different salons I've been to during covid (nail, hair, brow) this has been the less cleanliness and safe one. Both times I have come here I have been in and out in under 15 minutes. The ladies who work here are extremely prompt, professional and very sweet. One time I came the woman massaged the area around my brows because it was very irritated afterwards and today the woman who threaded them was even kind enough to fill them in for me.
