I got my first threading done here because it was highly recommended by a girl in a social group I attend. She lives in Tracy and will drive out here just to get her eyebrows threaded. Maybe I did too much plucking or I didn't let them grow out too much but I felt like I was in a threading market. My brows weren't shaped and when I got home, I still felt like I had to pluck the stray hairs that were missed. I ended up getting a lip and brow threading for $12 because it's a cheaper to get the package deal. You can also walk-in and not have to make an appointment. You're in and out of here quick. The staff seemed friendly enough. I'm not sure about the other services they offer but threading seemed OK. I might have to go back when it gets really hairy to compare results but I'm not sure if I can wait that long. read more

I still really like this place. I went a few times, and Puja wasn't there so I ended up having some older ladies. Puja is still the best! I thought, "oh just give the others a chance first." Oh no. I went with less hair and it hurt like a b****! One lady, whom I can't remember her name, she kept pushing into my eyeballs. Really? Are you trying to make your clients blind? I now refuse to have anyone else but her. The other downside to this place is kind of the reason why I took off a star. Well, that and the fact that I haven't found anyone else but Puja to be well worth 5 stars. They don't take reservations for a specific person. I asked to make a reservation for a specific time slot, but they wouldn't let me make it with Puja. So I said, fine, I'll go there at my allotted time and wait for her. When I get there, she wasn't even working that day. Why tell me she was working and set it up with me when she's not even there? There really is no point to making a reservation with them. My thing is, why lie to me and take my name and time down when I'll just end up on the waiting list anyways? Just don't take reservations at all. read more

Okay, so this might be too much info, but I've been getting waxed forever, and only recently started threading, and I really think this yields better results. My eyebrows have never been so thin and well shaped, it's cheaper, lasts longer and its way easier to get in/out. Threads is great. Nice ambience: love the fountain and the chocolate brown paired w/ hot pink interior. You don't need an appointment. I roll in all the time on a weekend, write my name on a list and get called up in short order. And for the most part, the results are fairly consistent. Here's why this place is not a 5 for me. It's not consistent every time; don't get me wrong, my eyebrows look good, but there are different variations of good. Also some of ladies threading seem to be in a rush. This isn't Southwest, although I get that you probably get paid per person. Finally if you've read my other reviews, me no likey the upcharge if a) you don't tell me about it or b) it's undeserved. This place is soooo good that I would rather grow out my eyebrows than to get them done some place else. I drive an hour to Dublin to just get my eyebrows done (well the fact that my parents living in the area is an added bonus). I discovered this lil gem back when they first started out in a hotel suite. Since then, I have never done anything but thread my eyebrows. Threading- I mostly only thread my eyebrows and they have always been done right by Puja. She is amazing as the rest of the artists are. They take what you want and create a beautiful shape to frame your face. I totally believe that the eyebrow threading compeltely changes and completes a face! I have also had my upper lip and chin threaded when neeeded and everything goes smoothly. I have not experience pain like some places where you feel like they are threading one lil hair at a time. Waxing- I have used the waxing only a couple of times on my upper lip and chin and I did not like it as much. The lady who did it was a lil messy and I often left with one or two lil hairs sticking out. So I just stick to threading there. Granted it was NYE, it was pretty busy with A LOT of walk-ins. I was glad I made an appointment. However, 3:45 came and passed. I was finally called in 17 minutes after my appointment. Annoyed, I sat down. The lady was nice and young. She asked what I wanted and I told her. It started off smoothly and then.....SHE CUT ME! She said "oh $hit, are you ok?" I was fine. I bit my tongue. Then she moved to the other side and cut me again. I was beyond annoyed. I smiled and was nice. Didn't say anything because it was NYE for goodness sake. She was finally done with my brows. I checked them out and it looked really good, except for the big cut that was burning now. Eek. She was done in 15 min. I got up and left. I ended up getting Saby who spent only 5 minutes on my overgrown eyebrows. She did not do a proper job even though I showed her how I wanted my eyebrows done. When I asked her to make a modification, she refused. The threading was a bit rough and she did not apply lotion to the threaded area. I was so unhappy with the threading that I found another threading place close by ( JJ Threading Salon) and the lady there was able to redo my eyebrows to what I wanted. Went in yesterday.. got there around 10:20...waited maybe 10 minutes (it gets busy right when they open the doors on a saturday!!) The lady did a great job...although a few stray hairs were here and there when I got home and did a more careful examination..I don't understand why they offer you a mirror to look at--I'm all red and swollen, how can i see a stray hair you missed? This time Lille attended to me and I had explained to her about how I want my eyebrow shaped and she did her own thing. Arguing with me that what she is doing is the right shape when it's my face and my brows and my requirements. I was in the Bay Area for the weekend and hadn't gotten a chance to get a full face threading at my usual go-to spot in San Diego. So I trusted Yelp to help me find a spot in/around Hayward to go to. And that's how I found Threads. I was able to make an appointment for the same day. (And on a Saturday, too!) When I arrived, they were pretty busy but I didn't wait long since I had made an appointment. Plus, I was warned that the full face threading would take 45 minutes or so. I really loved the facilities: very clean, spacious, lots of color all around. The staff was very friendly. Plenty of seating in the waiting area. I especially like that they had their list of services posted up like a menu in a restaurant instead of in a little trifold pamphlet. I appreciated that they had the waiting area and the actual salon room separated. I'm absolutely hooked on this place. It's a little cheaper than my usual spot in San Diego ($10 for eyebrow threading; $35 for full face). My threader was very meticulous, feeling my face for any hairs she missed after she went through her first round of threading. She went over my cheeks especially. I must've held various parts of my face tightly for her more so than I ever did for any full face threading experience at my spot in San Diego. She also occasionally checking if I was okay, which I very much appreciated. She even offered some calming moisturizer and massaged my face a little bit when she applied it. Awesome! I think this place is a nice find, easy to get to from the freeway and pretty close to other neat places such as places to eat and drink. The staff is a hit or miss. They don't interact with you much, but hey, you're not here to socialize. You get what you need done and done awesome and you're on your marry way. I don't have a usual lady yet, but I don't think I need one. They all seem to know exactly what they're doing. If you haven't tried threading - I suggest you come here and stick with it. So, I have been neglecting my brows since having my baby 6 months ago. I decided to come in for threading which I've always been wanting to try. I had the eyebrow & upper lip combo service for $17 (this included reshaping). I have to say it was quick, easy and surprisingly NOT very painful! I definitely will not be waxing or plucking my brows anytime soon. I have become a "threading" convert! I did have some kind of allergic reaction to the soothing cream/gel they used afterwards. I was looking for a new eyebrow threading place near me. I've been to this place about 2-3 times. It's nice, and the service is welcoming as everyone is friendly. Giving this 3 stars because it wasn't the most excellent experience, the times I've gone the lady still leave little baby hairs on my eyebrows. My eyebrows grow fast so by day 3 post-threading it's like the hair is back. They do have a lot more employees working there so you don't have to sit and wait for too long. This is one of the best establishment for threading and facial in TriValley. And I have tried a number of them. Tasteful décor and always kept clean. Facial treatment room is very comfortable and products are organic lux! Nail service uses Zoya products, which is a huge plus. But I guess the rest depends on how skilled your manicurist is. Currently, I am opting to buying the product and getting my services done somewhere else. But the idea of one stop service - for the sake of saving time and convenience - is always a plus for me. I'm a black woman and been a loyal customer at Threads 4* years. Again today the music was hip hop and lyrics of birches and niggers is unacceptable. Especially because I fill in my brows, it's okay to leave the edges of my brows not clean cut and perfect to take fleek-y pics with. I'd rather keep the hair and clean up the edges, and be able to fill in my brows without them looking too sparse. 100%, that is their main downfall. Never EVER again. I went in with beautiful thick brows and articulated to the older lady who opened the store at 10AM Sunday on 10/1/2023 that I want to keep them thick and cleaned up. She made them SO thin and gave me a weird arch by removing SO much from the bottom!!! I actually burst into tears as soon as she walked away. Like she did it out of hate. She should never be allowed to do anyone's brows unless it's a punishment. Please ban her from ruining someone else's two weeks. My biggest regret is going in there to make myself feel better about myself only for her to make me feel worse. Why would she do that?? I can't even salvage my brows with makeup and paid $100 for a serum that will hopefully work. The manager owes me a big apology. I'm still livid. She didn't outline my brows and ask for approval - she just plucked away like a mad woman and made my left brow so thin and the other one less thin but extremely wonky. The lady that did my eyebrows I believe her name is Cassy (sp?) was very good with the threading and also listened to what I wanted. I called ahead to make an appt and the lady on the phone said to just walk in. I drive there and the receptionist says it's a 30 min wait. I was miffed that I called for an appt and they discouraged me from it with a walk in wait, but I still signed in and waited. 30 mins later, I check in with the receptionist to see where I'm at and she responds with "oh it could be an hour". Still my go-to spot for eyebrow threading! This place is very careful with following CDC guidelines. They take your temperature outside, require a mask, wear faceshields, five hand sanitizer, and practice social distancing. I felt very safe here. All the ladies are always so wonderful--the lady threading my brows made sure everything looked even and took her time. I really appreciated it. I loved the way they look! Got my eyebrows done here a few months ago. It's a hair salon, threading salon, a boutique all in one. Extremely clean - they take your temperature upon walking in as well as provide hand sanitizer. Staff is super sweet. After I walked in there was about 3-4 customers following right behind me. Each of us was promptly assigned a chair - wait was no more than about 2-3 min tops. Seriously the only place I get my eyebrows threaded! For $15 (without tip) you can get perfectly shaped eyebrows and a bald upper lip, which is quite the deal IMO. I regularly get compliments on my brows after I visit. The girls there are experts and if there's no wait I'm typically in and out within 15 relatively painless minutes. The optional face massage and cream you get at the end is a nice relaxing finish to the whole experience. If there is a line when you arrive, they also have a wide variety of beauty products for you to browse through while you wait. I've gotten some pretty cheap zoya nail polish ($5 each) during their holiday sales before. Great service, great results and a great price - would highly recommend if you're in the area! read more
