A team member in costume would typically be stationed at the front door, handing out menus for patrons to review while waiting in the short line that is situated inside the building. Upon entering, the interior with its decor and decorations is nothing short of striking. The pub doubles as an inn, stepping right off the pages of the Harry Potter books. The movie set, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, was based on the restaurant, which made it feel so authentic. Keep casting one's eyes upward and one can't help but notice the dimmed lighting vibe, beautifully weathered rafters, and cast-iron chandeliers. Since it's inside the park, the interior and exterior decorations were spot on and really immersive. The menu is heavily British, think fish and chips, shepherds pie, etc. We both ordered the chicken and ribs platter along with a frozen Butter beer. The food came out quickly, however lacked consistency. One rib had no BBQ sauce at all, while one corn on the cob was drowning in butter, the other had none. Overall, the meal quality was slightly above the Costco cooked food level, and the price and portion was fair for theme park dining. My biggest complaint is the ordering process, you are required to download the Universal App to order via QR code, I wish it could just be done through a webpage instead. read more

We have only been here for breakfast, but oh, is it worth it! The Butterbeer Waffle makes this a 5 star review all on its own! It wasn't too sweet and had so much flavor! My husband and I ordered our own meals and shared the waffle, and it was almost a battle to see who could eat more. The regular breakfasts were delicious as well, which was a pleasant surprise since many theme park breakfasts have been underwhelming for us. Such a beautiful place to sit down and eat as well, and the service was very quick - placed the order in the app and it was at our table within 15 minutes. It's another fast casual restaurant, where you can preorder your meal, and when you arrive, scan the QR code on the table to let them know you've arrived, and to work on your meal. It was a plentiful platter, with scrambled eggs, sausage links, black pudding, English bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms and breakfast potatoes. The flavors were good, and for being in a park, not too far off from a traditional English breakfast. However, it all came out luke warm - which truly detracted from the meal (cold eggs shouldn't be a thing unless you're eating egg salad). When you order first then arrive, you still have to wait in line for your table. Once you get your table, they start making your food. We should've gotten in line while we ordered. You can also get a table 1st then do mobile ordering. My leak and potato soup was excellent. Some of the best soup I've ever had to be honest. The biscuit or whatever that came with it not so much. Came here for lunch at Universal. The menu online indicates what is gluten sensitive but there is no indication on the app or in the restaurant. I asked the hostess where to indicate I have an allergy and she said when you order the food via phone I can select I have an allergy. I come here for breakfast and for dinner and every time the food has been amazing. The restaurant itself is completely immersive and really makes you feel like you're eating in the Harry Potter Universe. It's definitely easier to eat here during breakfast hours since there's a lot less people. You're using April to walk in and seat yourself. If you come later in the day usually they'll be a line out the door where you'll have to wait for a table to become available. Unless you're willing to sit outside in the back where you can see the velocicoaster. You will miss out on the decorations inside but you'll get seated a lot faster that way. Keep in mind the breakfast does include a drink for the price and butter beer is on the menu. It's a great way if you have kids to get them a butter beer to start the day without having to pay a separate price. The roasted potatoes are my favorite here and I've come sometimes just to get that for breakfast. The meals are usually $20 for an adult breakfast and $14 for a child's. After one bite my husband declared these were the best fish and chips he has had since moving to America. From a quick service restaurant inside a theme park. I had to try them for myself and he was not exaggerating. Crispy well seasoned and far above what you expect in this setting. My shepherds pie absolutely hit in so many ways. It was comforting and hearty but still layered with flavor. Simple at first bite yet surprisingly complex as you kept eating. Exactly the kind of dish you want while strolling through a snowy magical village. The theming deserves its own applause. The interior felt incredibly real like stepping straight into the films. I kept saying it felt like being inside the movies but with strong Hogwarts Legacy vibes as well. Cozy immersive and perfectly detailed. Since it is quick service there was only one staff interaction when the food was brought out but it was a good one. The gentleman who delivered our meal was friendly warm and very much in the spirit of the place. It is a tight squeeze when it comes to seating but if you can handle being a little bit close to your neighbors then I think it's worth giving this place a shot. There was a lot of gravy, two maybe three pieces of jackfruit and some mushrooms. Came with a side salad, same problem. No taste. Reminded me of the salads I had as a kid in New England. A bit of lettuce, a tomato a bit of cabbage but no taste. The French fries saved it. I'm not a salt freak but being a vegetarian/vegan I look for flavor. Disney could learn a thing or two from Universal regarding quick service. My daughter and I spent the whole day at Universal and wanted to eat at both Harry Potter-themed restaurants. We decided to have lunch at Three Broomsticks. What I love about Universal's quick service is that there is a host/hostess who seats you so you know that you can get a table rather than hunting around for one. Once you scan the code on the table, you can place your order and pay for it. When your meal is ready, it is brought to you, and we didn't have to wait long. While the menu is somewhat limited, the prices are reasonable. I had the beef pasties with a salad, and my daughter opted for the soup and salad combo (leek and potato soup). I also got the frozen Butterbeer which was delicious. The foam on top was sweet and creamy. Overall, we were satisfied with our half salad/half entree choices. One of the more disappointing meals on our vacation. While the wait for a table was only about 5 minute, the rest of the experience was a let down to an otherwise wonderful day at the park. We were sitting at our table for about 15 minutes when I finally flagged someone down to inquire about service. The very nice woman explained that there was no table server and that our order could either be made at the counter or through the app on our phone. Place your order to pickup and then say that you've arrived and then enter your table number and someone will eventually bring yo ok food. After about 40 minutes of waiting, we asked if it was ever going come and within another five minutes it actually showed up. The (?) manager said they were very backed up and even though there were several empty tables throughout the restaurant, it was probably more of a situation where they were under staffed. When the food came out, it was edible but far from anything you would remember. But the real saving grace was the decor. You actually might believe you actually entered the world of Harry Potter and were part of the set in a movie. Universal does a wonderful job of bringing you into another world. It is a huge portion that includes chicken, spareribs, corn on the cob, roasted vegetables, broccoli, and potatoes. Our family added a salad and we had plenty of food for 5 adults! If you are looking for individual meals, the breakfast options are standard. They are filling but not very exciting. For lunch and dinner, I recommend trying the fish and chips, shepherds pie, or beef pasties. If you want a quieter spot to eat, go outside behind the restaurant for seating and views of Hogwarts as well as the Velocicoaster. Just want a drink? Stop inside of the Hogs Head next door. The only reason this isn't 5 stars for me is because of the cost--but that's theme park dining! read more

One of the only two places you can get VEGAN butterbeer. The other place is at the Leaky Cauldron at the other park. The secret is to get your butterbeer here instead of at one of the carts outside. If you wait outside the line is super long. At the Three Broomsticks, we hardly had to wait. Inside, the aesthetic made you feel like you were really in the Harry Potter books. First off, the service sucked. The server didnt say "hi" anything at all and looked super depressed. He even dropped some of our food and just walked away!! Didn't even acknowledge what happened. When my dad asked for water because we got none, the server gave just him a tiny cup! So none of us had any water. On top of the awful service, the food was objectively bad. It tasted super old and was clearly cheaply made while still being super overpriced (though I did expect this considering it was universal). The only redeeming factor about the Three Broomsticks is that it definitely had the Harry Potter look and vibes on the inside. I would not reccomend this place at all. read more
