I don't really come here for the pastries/cookies/whatever else you're supposed to go to bakeries for. BUT I DO COME HERE FOR THE ICED LATTES. I work nearby at Memorial Herman and sometimes I get so sleepy, I just really need some good, sweet coffee. It takes about 3min from the garage to the bakery so it's definitely convenient with lots of parking. Sometimes, I call ahead and ask them to have it ready, and they sure will have it ready for me. I've tried the lattes with vanilla and hazelnut and both syrups were good and not overwhelming. All in all, I've never been disappointed with their lattes. *knock on wood. Decent bakery here, but unfortunately they don't make wedding cakes at this location, and they will refer you to the south Braeswood location. The red velvet cup cakes are the best here, which run $3.99 each. The homemade cream cheese frosting is on point on these velvet cupcakes. All other cupcakes are pretty average tasting and the the staff is friendly (but they kind of seemed forced to be that way). Their service isn't consisted with a genuine friendliness, but a smile-through-grin, canned-script approach. I decided on the coconut custard danish and the cream puff. If you don't like coconut, stay away from the danish. Since that's not an issue for me, I decided to go for it. The coconut custard danish was my favorite of the two. The custard wasn't too sweet and the dough wasn't too dry. This is always a problem for me when eating danishes. I was not a fan of the cream puff. The whipped cream was nothing special and the cream puff dough was extremely dry (I coughed a few times). I've never been a huge fan of American cream puffs, but still always give them a chance. There cheesecake cupcake was to die for. I am not a big sweets person but let me tell you how I definitely inhaled that cupcake. You couldn't tell me that it wasn't good. For you are ever in Houston please head over to this spot and but you a treat, you will not regret it. I stopped by here during my route for work. They have a large selection of treats and breads! I decided on the soft gingerbread man and a shortbread cookie with apricot filling. The gingerbread man was so soft and slightly chewy, such a yummy snack for my drive! I absolutely loved it from start to finish. But the shortbread cookie.. absolutely delicious! Love love love this Bakery! Came to Houston with Sister and family friend for the weekend and this bakery was right next to our bunch place!! We got several pastries and coffee for our road trip back home and the young student gentleman, Albert and lady working there, Ashely were so friendly and chatted with us the whole time. Albert and Ashley are amazing and both have the best customer service! I wish the owner was there in person so we could tell them how great the two of them are!! I ordered my sons 1st birthday cake and smash cake from here and I was amazed with every part of the process! I sent them an email with the exact pictures of what I wanted and received a quote within an hour. The staff was beyond friendly and made me feel as ease! This was the first time ordering a cake from here and being a first time mom, this was VERY special to me! I have to admit, I was EXTREMELY nervous when we went to pick it up because I wanted it to look perfect and I didn't know what to expect. The cakes were absolutely beautiful! They were exactly what was pictured in my examples I sent them and the taste was just as amazing! The cake was not dry at all and everyone loved it! Thank you so much for putting so much love and care into these cakes for my sons big day! So far tried the cream cheese danish and a king cake slice. Both were very good. They had so many delicious looking desserts it was hard to pick from. The danish was alright a little soft and mushy not flaky inn my opinion, BUT my bf said it was apparently one of the best cream cheese danish hes ever tried. I wouldn't get it again, but the filling was pretty good. The king cake was a little pricy in my opinion tasted amazing with the sugar crystals on top with the dough and jelly filling on the inside. It tasted amazing not like the original dry bread though. It tasted different than an authentic king cake. Very disappointed at the appearance of a birthday cake that I purchased for my husband's 75th birthday. It was a double layer white cake. The bottom layer was pieced together to form it. When I returned with slices of cake to show how it looked, I was told that's how bottom layers are made. Also, if I was not satisfied, I should have returned the whole cake for a refund. While I wasn't looking for a refund, the whole cake wasn't needed to see how badly the bottom layer was put together. This is not the first cake I have purchased from the bakery. But the quality of the product was not satisfactory. A cake should look good both inside and out. read more

Pecan pie! I looooooooove this nutty concoction. I usually make my own pie as my version has won contests & is seriously delicious but for some reason (I'm thinking it was because Chanukah fell over Thanksgiving this year so I felt unusually rushed & freaked & stuff like that..) I didn't feel like firing up the oven & baking my own. Luckily for me there was a pie talk thread goin' on and someone mentioned TBB as the place to go. TBB is in my neighborhood, why oh why haven't I dropped by before now? I do love their cookies, croissants & bagels...oh yeah, that's why I avoid this place. My butt needs to stay the size it is. Located on the quiet corner of a strip mall off on Kingsride this store is easy to get in & out with ample parking. The employees are nice & the store kept clean. Generous cookie, cake & pastry selection. You can take your order to go or stay & enjoy your treat with a cup of coffee while sitting in their nicely appointed lounge area. We dropped by one cold evening for a cookie dessert & to pick up a pecan pie to bring over to a friend's annual Saturday Thanksgiving before Thanksgiving. I figured I could give the pie a test run & decide whether or not I would have to schelp out the pie pans & bake my own. Driving home I could smell the pie in my car which was a good indication of it's sugary goodness. The pie was a big hit at the party and I must say it rivals my pie. The filling is nicely set with plenty of pecans...oh my...candied nutty goodness in a pie shell that is buttery good. Oh yeah, I found my place for pie!! read more

I believe I came here around 5:00pm on a weekday and this place was empty....not a good sign. I really wanted a Jalapeno Bagel with Garden Veggie Cream Cheese and the clerk offered me the option to toast the bagel. Well, of course, yes! The bagel was barely toasted, I like mine to be super hot to where it'll make the cream cheese soft and spreadable. The cream cheese they use is the standard Philadelphia brand. I didn't really enjoy the bagel, it was okay but lacked any jalapeno flavor in my opinion. I paid 2.25 total for this bagel, not worth it. I would rather pay the charge of $2.50 for a much better bagel from Panera or Einsteins (yes I know, they're chains). At least I won't be curious as to whether or not they're good every time I pass by their bakery now. read more

What a bummer. I was craving a sweet pastry so I went here. When I arrived there were at least 4 employees but only one employees was helping a guest. None of the other employees greeted me or asked me if they could help me. It took over 10 minutes to get a chocolate croissant and I have had better. I must confess I have been to France a couple of times and of course the croissants there are unbelievable. But if you are a bakery you should be able to make a delicious choc croissant. And as other reviewers have said for their prices - it has to be unbelieavable. Or at least knock my socks off! They do have happy hour every day after six where all pastries are half off. I would definitely suggest visiting at that time. read more

I have been looking for a bakery that makes a good Napoleon because La Madeleine no longer makes the regular Napoleon, only Strawberry. I found this place online and ventured in excited to find a great dessert. I was immediately let down when I saw the Napoleon in the case. The icing just didn't look right. I asked them what the icing was and they told me buttercream frosting. I was let down by this and considered leaving but thought maybe I needed to try and I would be impressed. Also, they are pretty small for the $3.25 they charge. That is the price of a Sprinkles cupcake so they should be amazing at that price. I also decided to buy Snickerdoodle cookies at $1.50 each and some white sprinkles cookies at $1 each. My total bill was disappointing, but I tried to keep a positive attitude. I took everything to my family's house for a dinner. We all split the desserts up and tried them all. The Napoleon was a huge letdown. It was soggy and the buttercream frosting didn't belong. The Snickerdoodles were salty tasting. The sprinkles cookies were ok. I will not be a return customer. Please don't waste your money here. I would rather go get 4 Sprinkles cupcakes and have many smiles than spend the money here. read more

The chocolate milk didn't go over as it was made with flavored syrup like you would add in a coffee drink. Kids like plain old chocolate milk--nothing fancy. I felt the workers were a little cold and off-putting. They really really didn't want to be there. Id like you to at least pretend you're glad to be alive when Im paying $18 for a snack.
