He said the add-a-wire was broken and we'd need to get a new one when actually, all he needed to do was set a refrigerant setting on the control board (which another installer knew to set to get it working well). He also stopped responding to our texts to have him bring the 2 parts and finish the job for two weeks as we were suffering with heat and no AC. He justified this ghosting by being out town. So we had to hire someone else. We wanted to be reimbursed $300 for having to hire someone else to diagnose and set this setting. He refused. To not take care of the settings to make the unit operable is deceptive when the agreement was that he would "install the furnace". From some research online, an "installation is generally understood to not just encompass the physical placement and connection of the unit but also the necessary configuration, adjustments, testing, and setup steps to ensure the system is fully operable and safe to use". It was also deceptive to say he would handle extra material and not replace a bit of venting. But I generously let the vent concern go. When I asked him to refund us for having to hire someone else to set this setting, he said, regarding dealing with settings: "I don't do that." I responded that if I'm paying someone $500 an hour, I expect professional know-how and a complete install. He called us ridiculous for essentially wanting an actual working furnace and not having to pay someone else extra to finish it. Despite me explaining that the setting was the issue, and that the next technician restored the power to the thermostat simply by setting that, he insisted the furnace wasn't working because we didn't upgrade the wire to the thermostat. Tristan said regarding the wiring, "this is the proper way to install WITHOUT changing any settings on the damn furnace" But research online says that the furnace will not operate properly without correctly setting this. In fact, it was an obvious issue that the blower was always on with no thermostat wire connected, which the second installer identified and said should not be happening given no signal from the thermostat telling it to turn on. Further indicative of his unprofessionalism, at one point he said, "Thanks for trying to take food out of my family's mouth for no reason." I responded, "thanks for trying to take food out of my families mouth by not being professional and costing us more money" (by having to hire someone else to finish the installation). He's probably feeding his family just fine with how much he's being paid per hour, but he very would could have trouble with that if he continues down the reputation-destroying path he's currently on. Tristan is likely prone to charge a good amount and do a half-ass job and then justify his incompetence. Beware.

We were in the process of selling our home and the AC went out soon after accepting an offer on it. Being the middle of summer we were pressured by the realtor to replace the AC and the furnace (because of the age of it) before our closing date just 3 weeks away. I reach out to Technicool and they called me within hours, sent a technician on the same day to diagnose, and then set an appointment a week and a half later to replace our whole system. Their communication through the whole process was excellent and they even left all the warranty information for the new homeowners to pick up where we left off. They truly were lifesavers for us in a tight situation. To top it off I had gotten bids for a full system replacement about 4 months prior before we decided to sell our home and the pricing we received at that point was $1500 to $3000 over my final cost with Technicool. My AC decided to die on me last week and these guys were amazing!…read more First of all I live in a gated community of townhomes and my unit is in the middle so access is not an easy task. Upon arrival these guys were friendly and very informative. They assessed the situation and let me know the fan in the unit had been completely destroyed by something getting into it. Both of my outdoor AC unit and the indoor funace/ac were 20 yrs old and not functioning well to begin with, then it started making a rattling sound and was super loud then it just stopped completely, which is the reason I called. Chase was very helpful showing me my different options and explaining the difference between them all, he offered the option of financing and helped me through the payment process and explained clearly when I asked about thier cancelation policy which was as simple as if you cancel then u are refunded your deposite in full no questions asked. The delivery of the unit was complicated as I am the middle unit in my complex so They brought in a crane and Regie helped the incredible operator direct it onto my back deck with no damage to my gutters and precision of placement, he put the new unit in place and had the old unit removed again by crane which is quite a task but such an amazing option to have especially in my situation. He also removed my old furnace/ac in the basement and brought all new equipment down for the following morning. He was a one man show on this job aside from the crane operator, I'm assuming because of the 4th of July the day before, and he crushed it!! The next day Todd and his partner showed up early and orked diligently and effectively! They we're able to come up with solutions with the thermostat and wiring that saved me some dry wall repair, which I greatly appreciate!! Several weeks ago I made an appointment for a general routine furnace and a/c inspection and service. They booked me for 6/18...I asked for an early morning appointment and was advised that the closest they could come would be an 0800 to 1100 window. Had not heard anything from them until 6/18 when I called them at 0900 to see if I was scheduled...they confirmed. At 0955 they texted me to advise the tech was running late but would be there shortly. I texted back and asked how many calls the tech had made that morning. I received no response. No one ever showed up. At 1100 I called to reschedule as I couldn't wait around any longer for them. They suggested that I not reschedule as they were several weeks out and couldn't get to me until il mid-August. I couldn't believe that...a long time customer who purchased a full system from them 9 years ago...who has had them service my system every year for both heating and cooling...and this is how they think they should solve a problem that they created. They have absolutely zero problem wasting customer time, and make absolutely no effort in trying to remedy a situation in favor of the customer. I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere. Maybe there has been a change in ownership and/or management, but whatever it is, I'm staying away from them...far away.
