Wow is all I can say this was our last stop and wish we had a lot more time to enjoy the wine and whole winery experience. We literally had 25 minutes for 3 choices of tasting plus a brewery. The first room we went to the lady rushed us in so we could try and get more tasting in which we were able to thanks to her great pouring skills. We ended up getting 10 tastings in a long with a 2 bottle purchase. The grounds are great and welcoming as well are in and interesting. They have a slushy hut for one of the tasting rooms they have a restaurant which we just flew by. We did see the brewery but opted to go to the other tasting room in which you had to walk through a path to an old shack. Wines were great with some interesting names we ended up buying 2 bottles. We definitely will be back to enjoy everything they have to offer! read more

Love this spot. They have a brewery and a vineyard so you can get both beer, wine, and cider. They have a kitchen too for some quick bites or a cafe where you can sit and dine. They also have a tasting area as well. There is a lot of seating (both indoor and outdoor) with some pretty views of the lake. In our two trips to Seneca Lake, my wife and I have taken in a number of wineries in the area. We'd even tried Three Brothers wines a few years ago at the Watkins Glen Food and Wine festival and walked out with a couple of bottles. The quality of the stuff you can take home is the only thing that would justify additional stars to this review. This is not a review of their typical wine in a bottle. This is a review of the winery which was, as the score indicates, "Not Good." We decided to finish our day here since we were heading up to the Rochester area. We met my sister-in-law and her boyfriend, and decided to do a series of tastings. Our first question was "where to begin?" Why? Because we had no idea where to start. There was one door that indicated it was for "guests" and seemed like a reservations only spot to us at first. We walked in to Passion Feet, and asked one of the hostesses what we had to do to get a wine tasting. She directed us to the checkout table for the souvenirs where a very unenthusiastic worker directed us back out to the Weekend Guest Check-in, as the map on their website calls it (spoiler alert: this was a weekday). The girl who checked us in was the only one who seemed at all enthusiastic about us being there and informed about what the winery had to offer. Even so, she told us about how there was a glass included in our tasting. We never got a glass. We opted for the "wine passport" which would get us a tasting in each winery and the brewery and we headed back to Passion Feet. Our tasting went something like this: we were seated. We sat. We waited. Someone came over and asked, "Are you being helped yet?" We said "No." She said, "Okay." And walked away over to the bar. She came back a few minutes later, brought us small glasses of wine slushies and took our orders. Each couple split a tasting. A few minutes later she returned with two glasses, and wine in TEST TUBES. Now, mind you, the last time I was served an alcoholic beverage in a test tube it was in a much seedier establishment at a friend's bachelor party. My point is this: Its cheap. It comes off as cheap. Also there was no water. No way to cleanse a pallet. No way to enjoy the wine and taste it as one should at a WINE TASTING. We finished. Nobody came back to ask us if we needed anything. Nobody came to check on us. I was already unimpressed. We headed back to Bagg Dare. Bagg Dare apparently was out of test tubes. We got our wine tasting there in SHOT GLASSES. Great. The experience was the same as Passion Feet. No water. No crackers. No one checks on us. Great. Then it was off to Stony Lonesome. We sat outside, which was nice. We ordered our tasting. My SIL's boyfriend said, "this place might be more to your liking." No sooner did he say that than HERE COME THE TEST TUBES! No water. No crackers. And again, nobody came back to check on us for the 15-20 minutes that we were there. Okay. Let's try the Brewery. Again, we were splitting tastings. My wife and I love our craft beer, and were looking over the selections. We found one, and saw a beer that my wife wanted to try. When our waiter came back over, I said "I think we are going to with this flight, but my wife was really eying this beer here" opening him up to either an upsell on a single pour (which we were considering) or a chance to sub that in for something else on the flight. His response, not word for word was "well, you'd have to get that full flight, but if this one is more your speed, I'd stick with it." FAIL. So we ordered our flights. The beer wasnt bad. But again, nobody came back to check on us, no water, no snacks offered. The table next to us though comprised of some young 20 something girls got waters to go with their flights, and multiple flirtatious visits from our 40-50-something waiter. So that was nice. The Souvenir shop had some decent deals, so we got a couple of sweatshirts and my wife got some beer but that was about it. I fail to understand how this place is so popular. We are heading back up to the Finger Lakes for a weekend. We've already decided that Three Brothers will not a repeat. read more

Paid $40 for the tastings and was very disappointed especially with the beer flights. I thought it was just our group but then noticed empty tables of untouched flights that were being discarded. The stony lonesome and passion feet buildings are good. The other buildings are a waste of time and money. The flatbread in the cafe was disgusting. At least let people bring in food if your going to serve up garbage as food. Their slushies at the passion feet are the best I've had so far! DISSAPOINTIING , very very very disapointing! My wife and I along with a group of very thirsty beer drinkers drove many,many,many,many Miles to enjoy some Beer. Great place!! We went on a Friday and did the $20 for 20 tastings passport (plus got a few extra for being in a bachelorette party!) Plus they had amazing wine! Gorgeous grounds and loved the setup and themes of each stop. Highly recommend for anyone in the area. It's a super fun place tho, so I recommend going there as a single stop, and not part of a wine tour - we booked a 6 hour wine tour and had such a great time here we only made it to one other stop!!! This winery use to be amazing but this trip it was not a good experience. We did one tasting that consisted of 5 wines and a slushie. The price was steep at $15. We had to wait at least 10 or more minutes to get our wines. They currently come around take your flight info and then put your order in. When you finally get your tastings in test tubes they put it in front of you with a paper stating what wines you have and then leave. We needed to wait another 5-10 minutes to get a slushie we had prepaid for. Positives- the slushies are always a good choice. Negatives- worst bang for you buck- other wineries with cheaper price points offer cheese and complimentary glasses. At $15 you paid almost 2.50 per tasting of wine Wines this year were subpar. read more

My husband and I visited Three Brothers several years ago and remember it being known for their yummy Reisling flight. It has long since changed into a tasting experience "compound." We checked in and paid for a Tasting Experience pass, which costs 40 dollars. The woman said it includes 20 different tastings, so we figured that would be plenty to share. We were given a passport and were told to get it stamped at each of the four tasting spots we visited. Within the estate, there are four locations. We visited Stony Lonesome first and could choose from indoor seating, or outside with heaters. We opted for inside. Our favorite wine from this location was the Barbera. Next, we felt transported to the Florida Everglades when visiting the Bagg Dare Wine company. They played up this theme to a T! We enjoyed sweet wines here. Next, we visited Passion Feet Wine barn which had beautiful artwork celebrating strong women from history. I savored the pomegranate wine slushie, and was able to bring it with me when visiting our last location, War Horse Brewing. I didn't taste here but my husband enjoyed the beers. All beverages at 3 brothers were promptly poured, with friendly staff. If you're hungry, I would suggest getting one of their Big Ass Pretzels. Great experience, we will be back! Anticipate spending 2-3 hours or more here! read more

Absolutely amazing experience and ranch This place is unlike any winery experience that you can have on Seneca Lake, and maybe all of Finger Lakes region. When you arrive it's a bit confusing because they have multiple buildings. You walk into the wine shop. They have a store to shop inside. If you are doing wine tasting they will recommend the passport book. It's $15 per person. You receive 5 wine tastings at each winery and 3 beer tastings. The wine shop has a wine tasting in the back. If you like Sweet wines then you will enjoy this wine. For me, it was not of my likes. My wife liked a couple of them. This winery is considered the Passion Feet Wine Barn. The location next door is the slushies barn. This is where you can receive wine slushies. The Stony Lonesome Wine Cellars is the locations where they have the more dry whites and red wines. The reds were alright. I enjoyed the dry whites here. They have a dry riesling zero, 1, 2 and 3 which is the desert wine. 3 different flavors of rieslings from dryest to sweetest. Nice little store inside. They had two areas for wine tasting. One thing is they ID everyone. My wife left her ID at home and they ID her. She is 40 and wanted to make sure she was 21 and over. That's an FYI The last wine location is the coolest experience. It's called Back Dare Wine Company. All of the wines are sweet. It was super packed when we arrived. However, I did not enjoy the sweet wines. They do have one called 69 ways to have fun. Interesting name. Unique location. They also make root beer soda which is absolutely amazing. We have been to Three Brothers many times since we discovered them several years back. We had another weekend trip planned to the area and had booked a tasting. Our dog became I'll and was dying and we had to cancel our reservation. When I emailed to explain our situation they not only canceled the reservation but they shipped us a 4 pack of cider as a condolence gift. The level of service was above and beyond amy expectations. Ordered a Burger, Salad, two wines and an artichoke appetizer. The Salad portion was huge and there was easily enough for two. Salad was well done and fresh. The artichoke fritter was all bread - I think the artichoke may have been frightened away. I get it, it is a fritter, but they should have just labeled this dark green fritter and be done with it. Skip it. Burger was good, but they only cook one way - there way. Don't ask for rare or medium or well - they cook it their way - period. There is no water - lame. I get they need to make money - then raise the prices if needed - but I should be able to get tap water and a cup if I am buying a meal. I know to some it's no big deal - then why not have the water. The women in our group enjoyed visiting all the room; the men went with the kids and had flights in the Warhorse Brewing building...which offers soda flights as well. If you like things to be confusing & backwards then this is the place for you! First off it's not one winery, it's four. Plus a restaurant, & a souvenir shop. Which are all in different buildings spread out amongst the main area. There are signs up all over the place, but only a few of them are actually accurate. It was akin to being at an amusement park, just minus the rides. Lots of flash to steal your cash, but no real substance. Biggest complaint, is their "passport". You need this "passport" to get deals/discounts on your tastings, the only problem is that they don't have ANY signage up for where you can purchase this "passport". They DO have a very large sign right in the main entry telling you that they use a "passport" & show you what it looks like, but nothing about what it does for you or where to get one. Kind of important! Then we get into the actual drinks. Personally if I'm going to be drinking a wine/cider/beer I don't want to be tasting artificial chemical flavours. It is always a killer for me,straight away. My personal opinion is that if you are going to say that you are using strawberries, then you should actually use strawberries & not artificial strawberry flavouring. You should not have your personnel be saying things like "we start with a Niagara base & then add in the strawberries to round out the flavour" when you are not adding in strawberries. Or IF you are it's very minimal & the real flavour is coming from the flavour additives you are adding in just to cut costs. Cutting corners to cut costs just leaves you with a cheap (quality wise) product at the end. While we did spend quite a few $100 bills for the better quality items, the overall experience was quite poor & dissatisfing. No tours of the "winery". The staff were not at all knowledgeable about what they were trying to sell. The staff were also not very helpful, you could wander around in circles for hours & never have a staff member come to you & ask you if you needed help finding anything. Only really worth one star, but some of the war horse products were good enough for an extra star. Update: In response to the pr rep. I'm sorry but the brusque staff were not memorable enough to get their names. But on a whole it would seem that they may have been trained, yet they were not paying attention. As for your ingredient list, it was never in question that you did not have any natural ingredients. What was stated is that you also use artificial flavourings. Which can be clearly tasted in your products. There are many "natural flavourings" that are in fact artificial, meaning that they are NOT derived from the actual source that they are being used to imitate. For example, castoreum, which is used to imitate the flavour of vanilla. Yet it is in fact a derivative of the anal sacs of beavers. Now I am not saying that you use castoreum in any of your products. It is merely an example of how artificial flavourings are used in products & yet their producers still claim that their products are "all natural". Yes, beavers are natural. Yet when I go to drink a 'Vanilla Cream' soda, I want it's flavour to come from a vanilla bean, NOT from a beaver's anal sac. While most people may be fooled into believing that your "natural flavours" are in fact natural, their taste is anything but genuine. But I am sure that you are probably correct with your statement that they came from mother nature. One could also argue that since matter can neither be created nor destroyed, and that all matter comes from nature, that all things are "natural" including plastic. Which is created from things that come from nature. But I don't know many people who like the taste of plastic. read more

The estate is beautiful. I only ordered a cream soda and was given orange soda. I am used to being given the wrong thing anywhere I go so just drank it. It was fine. I proceeded to walk the property and settled in some Adirondack chairs with a beautiful view. So beautiful that I didn't want my purse in the picture, so I moved it to my side. We were under the impression that we would be able to stay until 8:30 as there was a silent disco happening. We were never invited to join the silent disco which would have just been a $10 fee that we would have happily paid. At 7:05, we were told that we must leave, so we promptly got up and headed out. After the 2 hour drive back to the hotel, I quickly realized I had forgotten my purse. I attempted to contact someone that night but they had closed. Thankfully, I receive a call the next morning that it had been found. I made the 2 hour drive back and after talking with multiple staff members, finally retrieved my purse. This place was really cool! Had 3 wineries and a brewery on site. I tried the dry flight from Stony Lonesome and liked each one I tried, my issue is that the flights at every place (including the brewery) were $15 for only 5 small samples. That is pricey! Especially compared to other wineries who charge you $5 or at most $10. The brewery had some delicious beers, we ended up just getting pints since $15 for a flight was a lot. I liked what I tried, but I probably won't come back since it's expensive to bring a group here. read more

For being a place with so many good reviews we were excited to go here. The wine was awful. I'm no wine connoisseur but this was actually some of the worst tasting wine I've ever had. We stayed in the dry to semi sweet building and all of the wine was entirely too sweet. The serving size was supposedly enough for two people...it wasn't but I was glad for it. This place is really cool, and I am glad I got to stop here on a wine tour a week or so ago. This place was poppin, with at least 5 bachelorette parties going on. The tastings for all buildings was $20, and you get a small glass to keep. The first building we went into was the Passion Feet Wine Barn. It doubles as a fashion boutique, with fancy clothes and NYS merchandise. All of their wines are sickeningly sweet. I ended up dumping all of it. If you are a moscato lover, this is your stop. After that we went into Stony Lonesome, which features a father back view of Seneca Lake on their outdoor deck. I think that out of all of the wines at Three Brothers, the ones at Stony Lonesome tasted the best. I liked their drier rieslings. The Bagg Dare section is a little farther back with some woods and a pond. It looks like a gone fishin' scene with buskers playing music, and people chillin' in adirondack chairs on the porch. Again, the wine, ridiculously sweet, but the place is fun. War Horse Brewing has got a retro feel when you walk in, with lots of merch and room for you to belly up to the tasting bar. They had an hard apple cider slushie that was pretty good. The beer came in plastic shot cups, which could be changed, but it tasted better than all of the wines did. They have a cafe in the War Horse section for people to order lunch, pizzas, coffee, etc. I think this is a great place to visit, I just am not a fan of the actual wine. This is one of my favorite wineries! My friend and I love to meet up here (she's in Syracuse, I'm in Rochester) and we can literally hang out here for hours sipping wine and munching on cheese on the deck. With 3 "wineries", 1 brewery, a coffee shop/cafe, a slushie hut, and a gift shop, there is a lot to keep you busy during your visit. If you have never been, I recommend buying a passport (which is about $20). This allows you to do 4-6 tastings at each building. Let's chat about each: Stony Lonesome has a wide selection of drier wines and their popular "degrees" of riesling. This is perfect for those who prefer drier wines as the other 2 "wineries" have much sweeter offerings. They recently released a dry rose and a sauvignon blanc - both of these have quickly become favorites of mine! I find myself purchasing them again and again. Passion Feet is located in the "hub" of the estate. This is where you'll go to buy a passport. This building also functions as a large gift shop. They have some seriously cute wine-themed apparel, housewares, and decor. Perfect place to pick up a gift for someone (or for yourself). As for tastings, the wines are on the sweeter side (perfect for making their famous slushies). However, they have recently released a few new wines that are sure to please fans of semi-sweet/semi-dry wine. Bagg Dare is a sort of swamp/bayou themed area that has sweet wine offerings. This location is a lot of fun. During the warm months, there is often live music outside. It overlooks a little pond, making it a great place to enjoy a glass of wine! War Horse is a brewery offering beer, cider, and soda. I am not a fan of beer, but I LOVE the growing variety of ciders that they offer. My favorite is raspberry, but all of them are delicious. Their homemade sodas are delicious as well - the lemon vanilla is my personal favorite. This place had a great vibe with a back swampy area that also included a brewery (I use swampy in the most endearing way possible!). It was very charming and so spacious to hang out inside or outside. They also have multiple tasting bars which is great on a crowded day! My only complaint about this winery is that they do really small pours for the tasting that are more like 2 sips of the drink, but I guess I've been spoiled at other wineries that are more generous with their tastings. Went to the Finger Lakes for a weekend getaway . Our friends felt this would be a good place because you can try wines or beers from 5 difference places whereas your typical vineyard only has wines that they produce and sell. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a group of very young guys who kept screaming John Cena's catchphrase "You can't see me!" and very young girls who decided that it was appropriate to scream across the courtyard at each other to hurry up and go drink. We ended up buying a wine tasting. It definitely left a lot to be desired. The wines were given ridiculous names like "lushilicious" or something like that. When I asked the server what wines they used to make their rose blend, her response was "Rose?" This is probably more of an establishment for those who have started to experiment with different with wine tasting. It is very casual and laid back. If wine isn't your thing, they also have craft beers that you can taste/buy . However, I do not recommend this place for those who prefer to go to a serious wine tasting and speak with people that actually know what kind of wine they are serving.
