    Taco and wine pairing flight.
    Steve S.

Enjoy a great view of Seneca Lake while sipping on a variety of fantastic wines. My favorite thing about Zugibe though is their elevated flights where they match a wine flight with food items. Most recently it was a corresponding flight of tacos which were out of this world. Each month the food items change.

My wife, daughter, and I had a wonderful time here... the team was so welcoming and suggested a NA mimosa for our daughter and one for my wife with cider as opposed to OJ... they loved it. The food was also next level. Seasoned fries were superb and we loved the space itself. It was raining or else we would have been on the lawn taking in the awesome view of the lake.

My husband and I came for a date night a few evenings ago on live music Thursday. The ambiance is beautiful and more unassuming than expected which was refreshing. Music was great and ambiance was family friendly but still romantic as there's plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We got a few glasses of various reds and whites that were all tasty and recommended by those serving the wine. We also were a little hungry and tried the grape leaves (so yummy, full of beef, rice, seasonings and served with a tart tatziki) as well as the margherita pitza (like a tiny pizza made on a pita-yummy!) Overall we had a great evening and would definitely go back!

Delicious wine to enjoy the awesome view.

We attended a wine event back in September and the owners invited us to go visit their beautiful winery in the Summer. Fast forward 9 months, we made it up to the Finger Lakes. Zugibe Vineyards has a backyard deck with an amazing lake view. They also serve Mediterranean style foods. The Z fries were delicious. Check out their hours and be sure to go when they are open. We met Scout, Dillion and Henry on the day we visited. The service was outstanding. Fantastic wine and tasty foods at this winery.

    Beautiful views!

The views were great! There were plenty of tables in the shade and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The wines were good and I love my souvenir glass. We will definitely return.

We visited here to end our Thursday evening wine tour. They were open until sunset and had a an acoustic singer. Seating outdoors was first come first serve and we were lucky to find one open table on their deck so we grabbed a cold bottle of their sweet Riesling and sat down. The views of the lake are beautiful from this location. The Mediterranean food smelled amazing, but we weren't super hungry, so maybe next time!! As we were sitting at our table, listening to Jon, the talented singer and watching the sunset, my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed!!!! It was super romantic! We will be sure to visit Zugibe on every Seneca Lake visit to re-celebrate our moment!!

A small cute spot. I didn't find the wines particularly memorable but I did end up buying a couple bottles (2018 Dry Riesling and 2017 Lemberger).

I reviewed this place two years ago when we had visited the winery. This is our second time here. I felt that an updated review was needed since we are in a pandemic. When we arrived, we were told to wait in line for our turn. We then provided our credit card for payment, selected what wine flights that we wanted to sample and our food of choice. Went over to the area to wait for our food and wine to be prepared for us. We then to our wine and food to a table outside. We were all social distanced from others and able to remove our masks at the time. After we were completed, selected the bottles that we wanted to go and told them who we were and paid for our items. It was straight forward. The wine was as good as I remembered it. The red wine here is good as always. One of the few places in the area that has good red wine.

Pizza and wine! Best pizza!!! Great atmosphere. Beautiful view of seneca lake and vineyard

    Gorgeous view

Awesome location. Generous sampling for $10. Gorgeous views. Great service. Covered patio, open seating, or indoor seating. They also have a few beers for non-wine enthusiasts.

Visited Zugibe Vineyards on Friday afternoon. Our visit came at a busy time and the winery was not prepared for a crowd. This led to a rushed and disorderly tasting, which prevented a full appreciation of their wines. Quality: Zugibe Vineyards was one of the stranger experiences during our recent trip. It felt the most normal after a year and a half of COVID adjustments, but the tasting was chaos. We ordered two Standard Tastings, and since they were running low on slips, we filled both out on one. This adjustment proved a major issue causing a lot of confusion and skipped pours. However, the bigger problem was they were trying to clear out the crowd that formed so they were rushing through the tastings. Multiple times I saw samples poured in still partially filled glasses. This rush impacted my impression of the wines, which seemed to disappoint compared to other wineries we visited. Hungry and eager to move outside we ordered some food to snack on from their Mediterranean counter. The Shawarma Fries were good, though a little over-seasoned. Quantity: No issue with the pours in the Standard Tasting. The Shawarma Fries we ordered were massive and the other food items can provide for a full meal. Value: $10 for a Standard Tasting. $10 for the Shawarma Fries. Ambiance: Zugibe Vineyards is a winery located on the east side of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes. The winery has the feel of a place that would do well with a small number of people, which unfortunately was not the situation we walked into. Inside they have a large room was massive ceilings. The highlight of their decor is a big stained glass window with their logo. They have window doors out to their porch, and a very nice outdoor seating area. Plenty of tables and chairs for guests to relax with their wine and food. Crowd: The winery was pretty crowded on Friday afternoon. It appeared most people were just there for tastings, as the inside area was much busier than the outside. Service: The only winery we visited that had completely returned to pre-COVID tastings, with folks squished in around the bar. The problem was they did not have the staff ready for the number of guests, leading to wrong pours, filling glasses with wine still in them, and large gaps in samples. Parking: Private parking lot located in front of the tasting room.

Great view. Delicious falafel--the lemon and fresh parsley jumped out. We tasted six wines. Great potential--room to grow.

Zugibe Vineyards is still similar to our initial visit last year, however they can use some major improvement on customer service and making guests feel comfortable while visiting. On our most recent visit to Zugibe Vineyards, some of our group experienced a bit of a miscommunication which lead to a poor customer service experience. Unlike vineyards such as Magnus, that offer cheese with the tasting, Zugibe does not. However one member of our party saw a sign that they thought included a tasting with cheese for $7. Unfortunately, when they all went to the register to pay for their tasting they were informed that the cheese was $7 and the tasting was an additional $5. Beware of this and read the fine print. I didn't really think this was a big deal because misunderstandings happen. However, I was informed by my neice that the young lady at the register displayed major attitude when they discussed this concern. I later witnessed this as she came out to the patio and quickly grabbed everyone's flights because "they needed the glasses back." This particular young lady didn't address me, but I did witness her display of unprofessionalism toward the younger members of our group. The other two servers were both really nice and I appreciated their attentiveness and kindness. I was really on the fence about revisiting Zugibe Vineyards with our group this time around. I should have gone with my gut when I contemplated revisiting. I will likely bypass this one in the future.

With gorgeous vines and the view of Seneca lake, this place is incredibly beautiful to get married at. We really enjoyed coming here and getting a bottle of their dry Riesling and enjoying the lake view while we had a light lunch. Their cafe food is just ok but I'm happy they do have a variety of hot and fresh food and not just cheese and charcuterie boards (which we love but somethings you just need a little something more). Ordering at the cafe is pretty easy, there's no table service, you order directly at the counter and when the food is ready, it'll get delivered to you. They offer up sandwiches, pizza, wraps and soups to name a few. Bottom line, great spot to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor space while sipping vino, do a little picnic and even hang out with your dog, they're welcome in the outside space only.

The pool and hot tub area is great, especially compared to other similar hotels in the area. The kids had a blast as did the adults! Check in isn't until 3pm but we were able to get our room around 1pm. We got a two queen bed room which was decent sized. Due to covid, no room service or towel changes but we were able to get what we needed at the front desk. Our room had a Keurig coffee maker and small mini fridge. We weren't in the room much but when we were, it was very quiet; didn't here our neighbors or people in the hallways! Service was very friendly and accommodating! When we arrived back late after the wedding, the front desk person offered us water and late check out which we gladly accepted. Breakfast was extensive for hotel breakfast, but your typical holiday inn express breakfast with pancakes, cinnamon buns, eggs and biscuits. A couple of downsides; if you have more than 2 people staying in a room, they charge you for the extra people, even if the room is meant for 4 people! That didn't seem right. The gym was a nice touch but very old. The treadmill was broken while I was there and the elliptical was squeaky, loud and did not seem safe when I tried it out. I was happy to see free weights and mats with a large mirror; this is more than most hotel gyms. The indoor pool area was busy at most hours of the day. Also, if you need to get an Uber back to the hotel late at night, forget it! It takes 15-30 min to get one; just an FYI! Overall, great value for the area! I'd highly recommend staying here if you're in the area!

Negatives: one word comes to mind...dated. Our room was small with a very limited lake view. The windows haven't been cleaned in a very long time. The television is tiny, like a computer monitor. The spring rod to the curtains kept springing off every time I tried to open or close the drape. The shower is tiny and you can barely turn around. There are few outlets, the only ones I was able to access that worked were in the bathroom ( only one of the double outlet was functional). The carpet in our room appeared to be about thirty years old and worn. This room, called the clay room was advertised on the website to have a queen bed and a refurbished bathroom. The bathroom has not been touched in years and the queen bed turned out to be a full-size bed. Stonecutters: wonderful waitress, who kept our beverages filled and was attentive. My broccoli cheddar soup had negligible cheddar or broccoli. My salad with grilled shrimp was okay. My husband's Cuban sandwich arrived on a stale roll and he thought the fries (weirdly shaped) were reheated. His chili arrived lukewarm. Not a good experience overall. Despite this, the staff are lovely, upbeat and helpful.
