They have a ton of unexpected items, like the photograph I attached of gift wrap (?) paper that I bonded with the employee on regarding how we buy oversized paper like this to decorate our walls at home. Hehe I had such a pleasant time here. They only have a few brands of teeny tiny paint sample cards (I collect them to use as bookmarks or affirmations to tape on my mirror, etc). I asked the Ace guy about suggestions and he said, "There are no choices, and you just have to accept the problem." I asked the Manager and she said, "That there is nothing to fix the problem" I asked her if she had a toolbox and she said "No" and a screw wouldn't solve the problem and she got offended when I questioned her further and she asked me to leave. I don't appreciate being disrespected by a manager who is sensitive when challenged and the staff at Ace who didn't want to help me. No one was kind to me at all. Is this how you treat a minority Veteran who serves your country and instead is treated like dirt. The women don't know anything about toolboxes and aren't interested in helping me at all. They show no interest in looking for a solution and claimed that there was none! I wouldn't go to this Ace hardware store where you can't express your opinion, and you have to walk on eggshells! In this place you'll find yourself with new ideas and projects popping up in your mind on every isle you walk down. It's like an AMAZON Hardware Store in real life right in front of your eyes and everything is right there on the shelf ready to buy with no waiting. If your arms fill up with new project solutions and you forgot what you actually came in for, you can ask anyone in the store if they have the item and they'll walk you right over to where the item is, because they have it, you just didn't see it. They have the things the other places do, plus the things the other places don't. It's like the hardware store from the 60's. A real one. I needed a few things at the Depot last night they didn't have and this place had them in stock just hanging there waiting for me, plus a few extra things that caught my eye as well. EDIT: They don't have refrigerators, washer or dryers like a department store. They don't have doors, widows or lumber like a lumber supply. They don't have carpet and flooring like a floor store. They have springs, tools, wheels, rope, wire, nuts & bolts small and larger then 1/2" like bulldozer size. They have piano hinges that you can weld onto a 1/4" steel lid. They have stuff like a HARDWARE STORE is supposed to.

I purchased a Torx bit which I was told was "hardened". I was told it would not round off. The tool lasted about 2 seconds before rounding off. I took the tool back to MD with my receipt. I was told essentially they would not refund or return or replace the tool. MD's customer service is a poor example of standing behind a product. I ended up buying a bit from Harbor Freight which removed the bolt quickly. Not a good look for McFadden Dale.

Small but mighty they've got most things covered but may only have fewer brands and options than larger chains. IMO it has a Mom & Pop feel with the smaller size of the store and the personable employees. They have an astounding range of drink & camping items such as Stanley cups & bowls. I personally go there specifically to buy Meat Church spices which were previously sold online only & curated by pit master Matt Pittman. (Who recently was hired as Dallas Cowboys official pit master!)

Their price came to around $600, which was a huge relief. I must say, this place is incredible, especially when it comes to customer service. Richard did a fantastic job creating the 10 screens, ensuring everything was done correctly. Dennis followed through on all my requests, and the cashier at the register also provided exceptional service, making my experience even better. When it was time to pick up the screens, they wouldn't all fit in my car. Glen, the amazing manager, went above and beyond to ensure I got my screens home safely. If you need screens made, especially for awkward sizes, don't hesitate to go to Ace Hardware. You won't be disappointed!
