Horrible and unprofessional customer service for the sales/will call counter! Their employees need to be trained and stop acting like they know it all. They charged me incorrectly and also refunded the incorrect amount. I pointed it out nicely but they kept on arguing and acted like they know everything. Then I asked for a manager but they said that I had to wait until he was back from lunch and didn't want to let me know his return time. I made a big deal, and they ended up calling him and he came by right away. Lack of common sense. The manager was nice, professional and understanding. At least he asked when he didn't know something. No wonder why he is at a higher position than them. Funny thing was that they weren't embarrassed and kept on arguing when they were wrong, especially in front of the manager. Will never buy stuff at Walter's again! read more

Make Walters great again! This Brea store has been a complete disaster these past few years with this so-called "Branch Manager" MARK GOMEZ. He is very UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE to customers and the staff. What is going on over there? He sits in his small office thinking he's all high and mighty slandering everyone he knows with LIES, it's probably because he can't even run a store. Other contractors warned me about this place changing but I didn't believe it until I seen it with my own eyes. The employees at his location don't even like him. I don't like him. In fact, I'd rather shop at Home Depot now, so I don't have to deal with his horrific attitude and appalling demeaner not to mention his unprofessional service. NO THANKS! read more

Just wanted to thank all those that make my job a bit easier! Always going above & beyond to find it, even if they don't stock it. I send in orders daily and receive a lot of the material early the next morning, even late last minute orders get processed. I've had them send out samples so customers can be sure they will like the product before they've purchased it. They've sent out reps to assist our customers with site lighting issues, interior lighting issues, & soft start controls for automation. Friendly courteous staff that are always willing to help. I've dealt with Walter's for several years now and they are certainly at the top of my list for convenience, availability, and 24 hour emergency response. Appreciate you all. Walters Wholesale Electric is no longer a place where you can go and get treated like family. This place used to be about building relationships and doing business with a good feeling. The Branch manager Mark at this location in Brea CA is the worst person I have ever had to deal with on a professional level. I have been doing business at Walters Wholesale for 20 years and I have never been attacked or treated as poorly as when this manager Mark came at me. Apparently he has been the Manager for about 1 year and I didn't even know who he was. He is un-professional and has no people skills at all. He also has no intention of meeting or being nice to his customers. Im shocked he even qualified to get in this position but wait, It doesn't stop there. There is a huge problem with the way that Walters Wholesale is being ran. There is a "its just business attitude" from the top down these days that is ruining the Walters way. John Walter used to be all about taking care of his customers and especially the people that worked fI am being told that I am no longer able to work with the salesman that I have been working with for years and If I don't like it I can go somewhere else. This is no longer a place of relationships or professionalism. I will no longer get my materials from this Brea location as long as Mark is the manager. If this kind of new Walters Wholesale way of not caring about there customers continues I will no longer do business with Walters at all. In response to the comment about attempting to resolve this issue, I have never been contacted by any Walters Wholesale employee as to my side of the story or as to what actually happened and this happened over a month ago. There was not an issue of a mask or of myself refusing to wear one. I never said anything toward the idea of someone being unsafe or to not wear a mask. The altercation was about the way the Walters Brea branch manager was rude and unprofessional towards me. Thank you for agreeing with me that John Walter made sure his employees were taken care of, its the customers that are not getting the treatment that he used to show us. By ending the relationship with me just goes to show that Walters is not willing to work with their customers and show them the respect they deserve anymore. read more

This store has changed drastically and by far the worst electrical store I have ever been to. I waited over 1 1/2 hours at the counter. After complaining I talked to the so called counter supervisor and he pretty much said deal with it! He was very unfriendly and un-professional. His lack of professionalism definely shows as he looks. Instead of helping me he goes looking for help as if he doesn't know how to pull orders himself. I will never go back again. Don't waste your time. I would give Walter's a 0 Star rating if I could. read more

Ask for Josh. He is the best. All around one of the best electrical supply stores in the area. I needed to upgrade existing aluminum wiring from the service room to my restaurant due to frequent brown outs and etc., and needed to purchase a considerable amount of electrical stuffs (over $5k in supplies) to do the upgrade. Josh was Vince were amazing! I needed a 400amp load center that isn't easy to come by, and these guys went out of their way to help me. Josh was emailing and calling me to keep me updated and made sure I understood what was going on. He even spoke to an Eaton specialist to make sure I was able to use a certain part for my project. Customer service is hard to come by these days, but Josh and Vince definitely went above and beyond. We're opening an account with Walter's today and they're our number one go-to place because of these two gentlemen. read more

Slowest customer service I have ever received. Went in and stood around for 30 minutes then was finally helped. Once helped had to charge credit card 3 different times for one order. Once paid ended up having to return 2 hours later for wire that had to be cut. Ridiculous!!! read more

Had a very time critical last minute power shut down to add a new service in a warehouse with Anaheim power on site on standby. I was being very difficult and kept changing my order multiple times but Randy got my wire cut and all my miscellaneous materials set up and ready to pick up in an hour. As far as I know, this is THE biggest electrical supplier in Southern California. They merged with the other biggest CED which is my other go-to electrical supplier. If you want better prices, Home Depot has them beat but if Depot doesn't have it, Walter's will. read more
