My wife and I were visiting and exploring Waitsfield, VT for the first time, and we're so glad we stumbled upon Three Mountain Café. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease, this place has that authentic, small-town charm that makes you want to linger. I ordered the Spicy Turkey Club Panini from their panini section ($13), and it was excellent. It came with Farmer's & Cooks fireside turkey breast, tomato, cheddar, chipotle mayo, all pressed on a fresh baguette (I opted to skip the bacon). The sandwich had the perfect balance of flavor and spice, the chipotle mayo brought just the right kick, and the turkey was juicy and flavorful. The bread was warm and crisp, holding everything together without overpowering the ingredients. A really satisfying, thoughtfully prepared lunch. The staff were friendly, laid-back, and helpful. Even though it was our first time in, they made us feel welcomed. They gave great menu suggestions, and service was quick but never rushed. You can tell they care about the quality of what they serve and the experience they provide. Three Mountain Café has a cozy, welcoming vibe that fits perfectly with the laid-back spirit of the Mad River Valley. There's plenty of seating, local art on the walls, and a community feel that makes it a great spot to relax with a cup of coffee or a light meal. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors mix naturally, and you leave feeling like you found something special. Whether you're passing through Waitsfield or spending the day exploring, Three Mountain Café is absolutely worth a stop. Great food, kind people, and a warm atmosphere.

Food was great, we tried all their vegan scones and muffins they tasted pretty good! I ordered plain bagel with veggie cream cheese and scrambled egg with bacon on the side! Ambience was so eye catching!

    Lattes and pastries

I was honestly so surprised to see some of the other reviews on here because I had a great experience this winter (that said did not Eder food just coffee and pastries). A delicious oat milk latte with fun mugs, a cute decor and ambiance, and a really yummy scone and cinnamon roll. A great apres ski stop.

Made with love, the donuts are hand-crafted from organic flour nearby in Charlotte, VT. My wife and I enjoy the churro donuts, which are an amazing treat. The donut is the inspiration for the business name. It's a French crueler donut twisted into a textured halo (see pic), expertly fried and then lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar. The first bite is heavenly. The crisp texture of the exterior and the light custard interior make for one of the most flavorful and euphoria inducing experiences. The light strands of the interior dough and the texture of the crisp fried exterior are a wonderful mouth-feel and "Mmmmm" inducing delight. The selection from behind the barista bar is more than just coffee. Selections range from espresso, to latte, to chai, as well as herbal teas for the "not coffee" inclined. I ordered an Americano (see pic), which Tay prepared with perfection. I added a shot of maple syrup for sweetness and sipped in satisfaction. The interior is still in need of decoration but for an opening day, that in no way detracts from the experience. The fanbase is strong with Twisted Halo. They sold out within the first hour and continued to bake to keep up with demand. It was great to see friends connecting with friends as they arrived, conversed, and parted ways, making this the ultimate social spot for a morning or post lunch coffee and donut. I would highly recommend a visit and to take a moment to savor the flavors of Twisted Halo.

The inside needs some love. No real decor inside. Service was very slow. Not the best but not the worst. 3 stars only because of the donuts

It is WAY more than just a convenience store, although it is that, as well They have the best beer selection around--an entire walk in cooler with a broad selection of beers from all over. Wowser! Their deli has great food either cooked to order or serve-yourself hot dishes like chili and Mac and Cheese. After hours for the deli, you can still get a nice set of selections, including my favorite--their deviled eggs. And pretty soon, the serve-yourself creemee machines will be up and running for the season. Did I mention their specials? Including the annual lobster boil? Oh, and they were the first gas station in the Valley to offer ethanol-free gas. Plus, they give back a percentage of gas sales to a local charity each month. The VG is truly a gem! I'm so glad they are here and hope they will be--FOREVER!

I snagged a medium-sized bowl of hearty chili for about $3 and it was a very generous portion. Considering I was up here for a ski weekend, I'd have probably paid about $7-$8 for that same bowl on the mountain. Staff were extremely friendly - all the more reason to shop small businesses and support the local community!
