Very nice place, extremely friendly, fast service. I had the best pasty I've ever tasted. Even their water is good (most restaurants have terrible water that smells of chlorine). Good coffee, kept refilled. Prices aren't bad, and portions were generous. The decor was pretty, country, quirky, with some fun, local crafts for sale at the register. I would not categorize this place as a steak house. It is definitely a diner. They have specials every day and quite a varied menu. The salad bar was a little scant, but had two flavors of soup... Vegetable and stuffed green pepper, which I never heard of. Maybe it's a yooper special? I had the club sandwich which was very good, and the vegetable soup, which was rather salty. My cousin had the walleye special, which she said was very good. Beware if you use a credit card they add $2.00 onto your tab without informing you first. We thought for diner food it was a little pricey too. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here today for breakfast on our way back to the bridge. I was starving and not in the mood to be picky about where we ate. When we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile and told to "sit anywhere kids, someone will be with you soon" 15 minutes later a waitress came with rolled silverware and placemats- she took our drink orders (sodas) and cake back 5 minutes later with the menus and drinks. I asked if they were serving breakfast or lunch (10:50) at the time- so we were not sure. She explained we could order either and would be "right back". Another 10 minutes went by and she came back to take our order. I had a club sandwich- but the fryers we not available because it was "still early" so she offered me hash browns or American Fries. I had the American Fries. My boyfriend got a fettuccine alfredo only after the first two items he asked about were unavailable. 30 minutes later our food finally arrived. My American Fries were burned on the outside and raw on the inside- my sandwich was covered in a sweet mayo type dressing even tho I asked for ranch. My boyfriends pasta was okay- not worth 15.99. (They were supposed to have a salad bar with his entree but it was too early). I did not eat more than three bites of my food. We waited 20 minutes for our waitress to come back, she slapped the check on the table and walked away. In the hour and 15 minutes we spent there we didn't get a drink refill. I went to the register to pay and was asked "how was everything?" I answered "not very good at all" the reply was "that's too bad, you folks have a good day" I will never dine here again. We were one of three couples dining in the entire place. We really wish the waitress would have said "breakfast is all we can serve now" if lunch wasn't really available. Horrible service. We used Yelp to find a good place to eat in Manistique, and Yelp came through yet again. The 3 Seasons Cafe is a great place to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their patty melt is made with steak burger, Swiss cheese and grilled onions on marbled rye bread, and it's hard to imagine anything better. Served fresh and fast with hot fries and a chilled lemonade, the 3 Seasons Cafe will surprise and satisfy. Tip: get the cup of stuffed pepper soup (instead of fries) for something special! read more

We stayed in the UP for a week and this was our favorite meal! I had locally caught broiled halibut dinner, mashed potatoes and gravy. They have vegetarian options and the cheese ravioli and home made sauce was fantastic. Even the salad bar gave good options and was fresh. Wife and I were in Manistique on Tuesday 8/14 it was 8:50pm their time and we forgot about time change. When we walked in I asked if they were still serving and was told they close at 9. Thinking we weren't going to get dinner we started to leave and the waitress said sit down you got time. ordered our food and we weren't being rushed. This is a great independent, roadside, family style diner. First off the facility is immaculate. Clean and tidy! The staff was friendly, the food was fast, super hot and delicious. Your choices are limited in the UP, especially on a Sunday at dinner time. We choose 3 seasons cafe because my first 2 options were unfortunately closed. It's a diner with all tables, no booths or counter seating. All 4 top tables that can be pushed together for larger parties. There was no credit card sticker in the window, so I wasn't certain if we'd be eating here or not, but I quickly noticed one at the cash register. Upon entering, not one person greeted us. There was 4 tables occupied tables so not very busy for someone not to welcome us. They tried seating us in the waaaay back corner right next to a pop machine. Really?! Next to the pop machine when pretty much your whole restaurant is open and empty. I asked if we could push 2 tables together near the front windows, and you could instantly tell the lady was annoyed. Ok, I'm not liking this place already. She grumpily pushed 2 table together- with my help. Menu had a decent selection of dinners, sandwiches, salads, breakfasts and a few kids meals. It was too bad they were completely sold out of chicken tenders which all 4 of my kids wanted. We ordered a club sandwich which came fries, the nacho grande and 2 orders of fries from the appetizer section. My husband said his club was good. He loved the tomato and bacon especially but said the turkey was the wet lunch meat type. The fries were 2 full plates of hot crispy pub fries. The nachos were chips layered with ground beef, slices of tomatoes cut in half, green and black olives, chopped head lettuce, and green and orange bell peppers. It was all smothered in nacho. Nacho cheese on lettuce and tomatoes normally wouldn't fly with me- but I was starving and somehow it didn't taste that bad. Between my son, husband and I we ate the whole huge plate of nachos. We didn't even notice til after that the waitress forgot to give us the salsa and sour cream that came with it. Wished they had the chicken tenders for my kids too but whatever. We've been here twice. Oct of 2013 and Oct of 2014. The food is good. Home style cooking and things have been done to our liking. This time I took a little closer note of the details. The menu says that you have to be 60 yrs or over to qualify for a senior discount. Where we are from that number is typically 55. Sometimes 50. I'm a ways from that, but my folks would be paying attention. After reading that,I took inventory and noticed everyone looked of retirement age. I get it. I wouldn't even make a deal of this, but I got two eggs, hash browns and toast and added a cup of sausage gravy. My wife got a cup of chili. We both got a soft drink and the meal with tip ran over $30! Sad to say that I can eat in a tourist town like Mackinaw city with more food for that price.....could use that senior discount ; ) I sound like I'm beating them up, but realize the food did not disappoint. I just found it expensive for a little diner. Service was good too. I had to remind myself to tip well, because the cost of the food has nothing to do with the service. Would I go back? Had breakfast here on our way home from our Circle Tour trip. If you're in a hurry, may not be the best choice. After placing our order and getting our coffee, it was at least 20 minutes until we got our food. We were happily surprised how good the food was here. The wait staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. I'm a vegetarian/vegan it was easy to find food that I could eat. My husband had the special which was blueberry pancakes with a side of him. The pancakes were light and fluffy with real blueberries and the ham was an actual ham steak cooked to perfection. I had hash browns, a fruit cup and I splurged and got the cinnamon roll. All were delicious, the fruit cup was berries, apples and fresh grapes delicious. Hashbrowns were cooked crispy like I like them and I left for coffee. Coffee was very good, and is served in cute mugs. We will return for dinner and will post about it. read more

We came to this little place while on a drive to Minnesota and decided to drop in for breakfast. We came in with three-star expectations despite the reviews on yelp, because we aren't a very diner oriented family. When we read through the menu it seemed very basic and we were further disuaded. But after a while we settled to try the blueberry pancakes (that was a special that day) and a farmer's omlete. We also ordered a cinnamon roll to try. The small diner blew away out previous expectations. The cinnamon bun was well done, not orverly sweet as most others are. The pancakes (while lacking our normal high standards for an excess of blueberries) were fluffy and light, tasting good whether you add syrup or not. The omlete was also light for how large it was, not overly filled and with a lot of green peppers and onions in it (which was perfect). The waitress we had (her name is Kate) was fun and welcoming, poking fun at us and joking good-naturedly which made the experience that much better. There is occasional flies that will bother you but that is with most diners in the area. read more

Had the Western omelette- tons of filling, and very good. Hash browns were perfection- crispy and large serving. Sourdough toast was great as well. Husband had the Southern omelette and he said it was delicious. Wanted to give it 5 stars, but the coffee was not good - watered down and undrinkable. Came here for breakfast to get out of the rain and were delighted when we discovered this little gem! The place was deserted when we got there so that made us a little nervous, but once we ordered our breakfast, we knew it had to just be an off day or something like that. Well I gave this diner a shot, and I am glad I did. Yep it is a diner and it is like going in a time machine to an era passed. A family owned diner in a very small town, with home cooking. The salad bay is simple but adequate. The dressing selection had 6 entries. The chicken noodle soup was fabulous. The home made noodles. Wow. The baby back ribs and mashed potatoes were excellent. So tender the bones dropped off and I ate the meat with a fork. That said - Come on in for a good meal. Don't count calories or carbs tonight. Enjoy the meal. read more

This was a pleasant surprise ... my husband ordered the perch dinner and said it was the best he had ever tasted before. I ordered the sirloin steak with sautéed onions and mushrooms. Went twice, first for dinner. Nice salad bar but the food was average and not very hot. I felt like my potatoes were on a steam table in the back and scooped out. Went back the next morning for breakfast as trip adviser shows good reviews for that meal. The ONLY thing that was good was the coffee (once I got it, asked twice ... seems basic for the a.m. most waiters/waitresses walk up with the pot in the a.m.). French toast which could have been great with homemade bread but it wasn't hot, it was cold in the middle ... also sausages that looked like they were precooked and then just browned a bit on the grill, greasy and lukewarm. I sent them back for more cooking as I was unsure about eating them. Somewhat friendly ... but way more friendly for locals ... so over the top that I felt like I was eating as someone's house where I knew no one LOL. read more

When I asked, waitress said "it's being dropped right now" and "don't like to keep chicken on buffet too long". Everyone I was with said the same thing, the food was awesome. The table service I great, only thing I can say is the water has an iron taste and that it can get packed at certain times.
