Went twice, first for dinner. Nice salad bar but the food was average and not very hot. I felt like my potatoes were on a steam table in the back and scooped out. Went back the next morning for breakfast as trip adviser shows good reviews for that meal. The ONLY thing that was good was the coffee (once I got it, asked twice ... seems basic for the a.m. most waiters/waitresses walk up with the pot in the a.m.). French toast which could have been great with homemade bread but it wasn't hot, it was cold in the middle ... also sausages that looked like they were precooked and then just browned a bit on the grill, greasy and lukewarm. I sent them back for more cooking as I was unsure about eating them. Somewhat friendly ... but way more friendly for locals ... so over the top that I felt like I was eating as someone's house where I knew no one LOL. read more

I've only been there twice and both times I was thoroughly disappointed. The first time I thought the food was OK, but very greasy even for typically non-greasy foods and overpriced for what you get. The second time the food was again greasy (I got the garden burger, not sure why that would be covered in oil) and there was hair in my salad. We will not be going back. read more

Waited to get waited on when I walked in, unlike the local patrons. Waitresses were busy complaining or gossiping. Ordered the buffet-roasted chicken, meatballs, etc. No chicken on buffet table. When I asked, waitress said "it's being dropped right now" and "don't like to keep chicken on buffet too long". Returned to buffet and realized that, even though it was now 5:00 on a weekday, there never had been any chicken made up that day (pan and tongs were clean). read more

I came in thinking that this place was going to be 2-3 stars and that the food wouldn't be that good. I got the party melt and it was delicious, very good. Everyone I was with said the same thing, the food was awesome. The table service I great, only thing I can say is the water has an iron taste and that it can get packed at certain times. The food here was pretty good, the salad at the salad bar could have been a little fresher but the fish was good and my friend really enjoyed his beef sandwich. The aesthetic was very dated, pretty drab, and could definitely use a touch up. It had a bit of a cafeteria feel rather than a restaurant as far as looks go. read more

This cafe was recommended by the manager at the motel we are staying for the night. Was very good!! I wanted to try the traditional UP pasty but it came with salad bar and I was less than impressed with the looks of it...not sure if it was just depleted after dinner rush but seemed kind of sparse. Instead I ordered a pizza burger and fries. I loved pizza burgers as a kid and haven't found one like I used to eat for many years. This one did not disappoint! It was excellent and brought back fond memories to my taste buds :) The fries were wonderful too! My husband ordered the walleye dinner off the senior menu...had three pieces of walleye, a large baked potato, and coleslaw. He said the fish was the BEST he's ever had!! I had been driving with my family all day as we tour the UP and was at a loss as to a good family dining option in Manistique. I asked for a suggestion from the hotel admin and found myself at 3 Seasons just a few minutes later. My first impression was that it must be good because it was packed. As we entered we were greeted with a quaint 2 person band playing down home tunes on a ukulele and a homemade one string bass. This sealed the deal for me, I knew we were in for a treat. The food arrived fast and fresh. My 5 year old proclaimed the food was fantastic, and she's a tough judge. The salad bar had been a little picked over, but was still appealing enough for me to load up my plate. I just wish I had saved room for dessert, our waitress admitted sundaes were not her specialty, but I'm sure I would have been as impressed with her handiwork as I was with everything else. On the long drive from Mackinaw City to Wisconsin we stopped at Three Seasons. What can you say but a great LOCAL spot. I think we were the only non-locals in the place. We ordered the Pasties because that's what we were told to do in the Upper Peninsula. They were good but limited to beef only. I have had better in Cornwall but these were very good and made fresh that morning. The woman who makes them came out to talk to us about them and our waitress gave us a culinary rundown on the history and variations of Pasties in the Upper P. If you wants true Americana dining experience on this drive, stop in and enjoy the experience. read more

The place serves breakfast all day. I'm a breakfast man. I would eat breakfast (eggs, sausage, hash browns) three times a day if my wife would let me get away with it, which she won't. We were on our way from Escanaba to St. Ignace hunting for breakfast after the 10:30 (sometimes even 11:30) no-breakfast-for-you witching hour and spotted this place. We went hopefully in and yes, they serve breakfast all day! The prices were in line with other family operations. The food was excellent, well made, served cheerfully and hot. My pair of sausages were extra large and juicy. The over-medium eggs were over medium. The hash browns were crisp. The coffee cups are huge, 12 ounces I'd guess, refilled endlessly with a better-than-average American coffee, free. The choices of toast include that made from homemade bread, thick sliced and delicious. My wife had French toast made with the same bread. Breakfast is, after all, breakfast, so nothing here is exceptional, but it was as good as it gets, and you can get it any time they're open. I'm tempted to give 5 stars, but I've only been there once. read more

This fabulous old fashioned cafe is definitely still open. It closes in the dead of winter for 3 mos every year. We had terrific whitefish, fresh from the lake, live music, the nicest waitresses in the world. Great spot and very much still open. read more

Really great owner (Brenda) and waitstaff! We stopped here because it was close to our motel. We ordered pasties that included the salad and soup bar. The tomato soup was fabulous, and the salads were simple but very tasty. The pasties were served with gravy on the side. They were small and served with two on the plate. When we were finishing our dinner we noticed the people around us were served very large pasties that were full and covering the entire plate. So when Brenda stopped by to check on how we liked our dinner, I asked why our pasties were small and theirs were large. She explained that the small were the lunch size and that's why we got two. I simply said that they seemed to be getting more for their dollar. Well, Brenda brought out one more for us to take home and surprised us even more with a large delicious piece of carrot cake. We were happy with our meal, but Brenda wanted us to be completely satisfied with our experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant, and if you go, you will have a great experience. read more
