It was Thusday 5pm... on my 4th call to get help, Blackstar picked up the phone on the second ring! Mark, the owner, took down my info and advised they'd find the time to help. He let me know, he's an honest person who runs an honest business. I agreed for him to assign someone to stop by. Meanwhile I got in touch with HOA for siding color and model. Mark, himself, came to the house and replaced my siding a couple days later. Took less than an hour! Super nice person, and very caring. Cost was reasonable and budget-friendly! I cancelled my request with home owners insurance assist and paid out of pocket. Right away, we knew he was trustworthy and running a good, quality business. Not only did he come in at almost 1/2 the sticker price of the big wig companies, the process was seamless. Once we got HOA and county permits, the project manager, Ryan took over and was phenomenal to work with. He communicated with us daily on what to expect throughout the process and answered any questions we had. The laborers were also friendly and courteous. The job was completed within the estimated time frame and met all of our expectations. There were no hidden additional costs and it was by far, the best experience with a contractor that we have ever had. BlackStar has built many of the decks in our neighborhood and comes highly recommended.

In the process of moving out of our house, and the moving crew left a whole mess of oil stains on…read morethe driveway. I worked with my realtor to try and find someone who could hit the oil spots, but their 1) prices were through the roof, and 2) availability was incredibly limited. I contacted Luke through the Wash USA website, and he drove out and looked at the spots a couple hours (at the most) after I put in the website request. Since I'm moving, we conducted the whole transaction via email and PayPal, and Luke was an absolute pro. Did what he said, when he said he was going to do it, at the best price around. Years after they completed my roof, Ken still went out of his way to help me with an issue caused by my neighbor's roofing job. Their roofer had left a tile holding piece attached to my wall without properly nailing it in. When I called Ken about it next day, he immediately offered to fix it. Later that day he even stopped by after work, brought his drone to inspect the area, and made sure things were okay. That kind of service years later says a lot. The painters were friendly and didn't need any oversight, were friendly, worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves. We had two hiccups along the way, which both dealt with us adding on painting our front door which I offer as cautionary tales for anyone getting their front door painted: First, the powerwashing of the front door also broke our electronic lock. Patrick was quick to respond and removed the cost of the replacement lock from our invoice. (Very kind, thank you!!) Second, I don't think they told us the right kind of paint to buy because it has always looked too matte and stroke-y, and has lately started to bubble. In the future, I would do more research about what type of paint to buy rather than ask the guy who shows up -- I shouldn't have sprung it on them, even though they were more than happy to do it. Who knew that door paint selection could be such a process? Despite these two notes, I would definitely use Patrick's again in the future. It's hard to find a place that offers great customer service these days, and I am very grateful!

I hired Patrick's Painting for a small project to (1) repair and repaint a defect in a bedroom…read moreceiling and (2) repaint a bathroom. A reason for hiring them for this small job was to evaluate their ability to handle a large job - painting the exterior of our house. Based on my experience with the small job I will not consider them. A two-man team was sent. The person who repaired and repainted the bedroom ceiling did a good job. The person who repainted the bathroom did not do a good job. Specifically, the area below the bathroom mirror light fixture had a surface problem that was not addressed. Possibly an attempt to cover the problem was made by applying a very thick paint application. Not only did this not correct the problem but added to it as clearly visible paint brush marks were left behind. I do not understand why a clearly visible problem was not corrected at the time. It is not easy to contact Patrick's Painting but l eventually did and they sent someone to correct the problem. So, a problem that should have not existed was corrected. The outcome for Patrick's Painting is that I will not consider them for painting my house. The included photograph is of the defects as they were left originally. Whether the job was fairly priced or not, I do not know. I was not concerned with the price of this job, but rather the quality of work performed. They do not measure up.
