I dint like service , the place was so much crowded they wanted to finish so quickly to get people out! Worst pedicure ever

I've lived in Marin County my whole life and have struggled to find a good nail salon who does acrylic. The women working at Three Sisters were very welcoming and spent an efficient amount of time making sure I loved my acrylics, which I really appreciated. The staff at Three Sisters were very nice. They were busy the afternoon I was there (a Thursday) and apologized several times for running behind. That being said, it took almost two hours for a manicure and pedicure! I was also less than impressed with my gel manicure. I noticed as soon as I left that at least three nails had bumps in the polish. Unfortunately, I was running late for an event and couldn't go back. It's now 10 days into my gel manicure and the nail polish is significantly chipped on at least 5 nails. I got this manicure prior to a trip to avoid worrying about my nails- guess that didn't work out! Overall, nice staff (4 stars) but less than good quality (2 stars). read more

Seen 1/2 hour late with an appointment. The place was filled to the brim...probably 15 stations. The fumes were horrific. I feel for the workers...mine works a ten hour day. I had a good mani pedi and the two women who did them were sweet. I can't justify my own "beauty" with conditions like this. read more

Glad I tried a new place, but I don't get why people rave about this place. Went for first time for a pedi and won't be back. The only good thing is that they fit me in last-minute. Otherwise, this wasn't a relaxing pedi experience at all -crowded, hot, awful rolling chairs, overwhelming chemical smells, and a tiny mobile foot bath. What a disappointment. read more

I came in a few weeks ago for a manicure. I just walked in on a random Monday and described outstanding service. The place was very busy, but they still got me into a chair in less than five minutes. My manicure person was friendly and super gentle. I usually have to tell the person that my skin is sensitive and I can easily get cut during manicures, and I didn't have to say this. She was so gentle with my hands and made me feel so comfortable. She was fast but very thorough. My nails looked amazing. It has been a few weeks and I have no chips and they still look really good. I would highly recommend going here. They are great, friendly and it's worth the money. Not too expensive, just perfect. read more

It took a long time to get an acrylic fill. 2 hours. They do everything by hand...everything. He did a great job but was very fussy and kept leaving his seat or looking around or stopping to glare at one of the other techs. I will go again but will ask for another tech. read more

I came here based on the good reputation and was so disappointed I've decided it's worth my first Yelp review. First, $50 for acrylics?? I got french tips and the gel coating, but still. Also, for $50 my nails should look impeccable and last for weeks. They look terrible! It's only been 11 days and they are already chipping (even after I opted for the gel polish that was $5 more), you can see the fake tips through the gel, the white polish is uneven, and the gel is peeling off at the tops of the nail beds. Not only that, but it looks like I had them done 3 weeks ago. I pointed this out to the man who was doing my nails (I think he is the only man who works there) while he was doing them and said that he needed to put the gel up to my cuticles, as there were several nails that left quite a space between the cuticle and where the gel started. He told me he wouldn't do that because then it would stick to my skin. I pointed out that he had put the gel up to the cuticle on a couple of other nails and it was fine, butr he refused again. I left $50 short with acrylics that looked a week old and very sloppy. I am still furious every time I look at them and, needless to say, will never be back. read more

I have been getting my nails done for years. I have had full sets, manicures, and pedicures. I would always hop around nail salons because I never could find one consistent enough with their application. I wanted the same outlook every time why is this so hard to find? They are the same people most of the time why is consistent manicures/pedicures such a difficult task? Well it isn't you just have to find the right salon and that would be this one hands down! No pun intended. This salon is always available. Wait times are usually none or just a few minutes. The women there are soooo nice and friendly. The owner is a beautiful lady who is super sweet and kind. They are fast as hell and the quality is well shall we say consistent? Not one time have I ever had a bad application never. My gel manicures last for weeks. As well as for regular pedicures. They are truly the best forget the rest! You will never regret going here for your salon needs! read more

When I first moved to this area years ago, I asked a couple ladies where they got their nails done. Both said - 3 Sisters. I've been a satisfied customer for almost 20 years, and compared to some if their clients I am a relative newcomer! Several have been clients since they opened over 25 years ago. I went in for a full set and the nails came out pretty okay. Nothing amazing. But the worst part was my nail tech was very very rough on my cuticles. He made five out of ten of my nails bleed and one was cut so bad and wouldn't stop bleeding he had to put this green solution on it that burned down my entire finger and was swollen for days after. It now is crusted yellow and looks infected. Gross. I kept pulling my hand back and saying ow but he continued to grind my cuticles down. For $50 before tip I was expecting better service for sure. I have been a very satisfied client at Three Sisters Nail Salon for almost 15 years. Everyone is very professional and aims to please. They are always busy but greet you with a smile and friendly hello. They listen to what you like/don't like and remember the next time. I have a terrible, ugly toenail on one foot, and Angie, the number one sister, personally works on it for me, using acrylic and magic to make it look presentable. I get tons of compliments on my nails. There are dozens of salons/shops to go to, but if you want to be treated as if you are the only customer who counts, go to Three Sisters. You have no idea what a strong work ethic the Three Sisters and their employees have--it would be a great lesson for anyone in a service industry job to watch how hard they work and how much they care about their business and their customers. read more

I got a gel mani here on wednesday, and was not totally happy with how it turned out. My cuticles and the skin around my nails were not smooth. I got kind of a clear color, and i can see a few nail polish hairs and particles under the polish. Today is now friday, and part of one nail has already chipped. Maybe the problem was just the person who did my nails because other people I know who go there like it. Definitely not my best gel mani. Will not return. read more

This place is a beloved institution. Angie is an awesome manager, keeping the salon humming, accommodating requests of all sorts (putting your friend or daughter in the next chair so you can gab while getting your nails done). Each one of the manicurists/pedicurists do a superb job. They spend a lot of time cleaning up those pesky cuticles and hangnails for a beautiful, smooth manicure. Pedicures are also a treat accompanied by a relaxing leg and rub. Prices are very reasonable. Just be lucky enough to be added to their regular list - you won't want to go anyplace else. read more

This is the best nail salon in Marin County. Three sisters started the salon almost 19 years ago. I have been going there for 18 years. They do an excellent job, they remember what color polish you used the last time you were in and they make you feel welcome. The prices are reasonable, the salon is very very clean, but the most important thing is that the quality is excellent. This was rough. Good things first. I had no appointment and the made time for me which I really appreciated. The room was light and clean. They had a variety of nail polish colors to choose from. Now for the less than stellar...What is up with sitting people in office chairs and having them soak their feet in glorified lukewarm water baths? I was handed a towel to drape over my legs because I was wearing a dress and when I put my feet up on the flimsy work station my lady parts were on display to anyone in the room. The lady doing my pedicure could have also administered a PAP smear because my knees were so close to my chin. Which brings me to the part where I'm holding up my legs for fear that I might shove the woman across the salon if I allowed the full weight of my legs to rest on the stool. The woman that was helping me was a little older (60?) and had limited hand/eye coordination and seemed like it might have been her first day on the job. This made matters worse because I'm a Plus size gal whose hamstrings were beginning to cramp up from holding her legs up (and lady parts still exposed). The final insult was that it took almost 15 minutes to apply the polish. If I could have comfortable reached my toes, I would have paid her to just let me do it myself. Pretty sure that there will be photo of my cooch on someone's Facebook page with the caption "Fat lady exposes Va-jay-jay during pedicure". I limped out of there with what was left of my pride and $25 lighter. Unless you are extremely fit, wearing long pants and work your core muscles on a regular basis, you may want to pass on this place. The ladies here are very nice. They do a good job. The Only downfall is that they don't have massage chairs for the spa pedi's. And they're typically very busy. I would definitely suggest calling ahead unless you don't mind waiting around. read more

Went here for the first time ever (weird as I've lived in Marin for ages) and had an excellent mani/pedi for $32 + tip. One week later and it still looks great. No frills salon but they get you in and out, place was clean. Very professional and low key atmosphere, parking can be difficult though. I will def return! read more

Angie (one of the owners, and head honcho) ALWAYS tries to accommodate me, even if I call on a Friday. The only thing keeping me from giving more stars is the lack of pedicure massage chairs. During my pedicure I couldn't relax the muscles in my legs or else I would push the foot rest on wheels away. My nails look great, the polish has lasted for weeks but I find myself searching for another place so I can really relax. I dont care about the massage part of those chairs, just being able to comfortably rest my legs. read more
