We ordered for pick up. The person whom took my order never told me how much my total order was until I went for pick up. I was expecting $35 but was charged $44 for two items: Belt Buster burger ($23.95) and a Taco Salad ($8.95). These were the prices on their menu that was posted on their website. I don't understand why I was over charged and never for a receipt. Basically, everything seemed overpriced mediocre food based on the two items i purchased. I was expecting guacamole and refried beans with the taco salad. Both were omitted. It was just washed romaine lettuce, topped with taco seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, cheese, with sour cream and salsa on the side. So basic. Where's the onion? The shell wasn't a hard-shell crispy tortilla. Instead, it was a semi-fried flour tortilla. The ratio of lettuce to toppings. So much more lettuce and it made the bottom of the shell so soggy. The size of the Belt Buster burger was impressive and the meat patties were cooked well but that was it. The meat wasn't seasoned and toppings were lacking. It's a nice item to buy once or for fun and that's it. Would I return? Probably not. I think I would rather spend that money on groceries and ingredients to make my own food that would not only taste better but also is budget friendly. read more

So, amongst our trips and travels, we stopped at a restaurant called three Square restaurant in Waupaca Wisconsin. My husband saw a sign on the wall for Jim's big Burger, and believe me it is everything it is cut out to be now the service, the young lady that took care of us was very pleasant. She was very inviting. She was attentive to our needs, and saw to all that we wanted and to see if we needed a wheel barrel to roll us out of here, my breakfast consisted of potato pancakes and applesauce and two eggs with some sausage links that was fantastic whoever cooked my eggs were on point now the ambience of the restaurant it's very nice very homey makes you feel very comfortable when you sit down to relax and enjoy your meal I'm gonna get the name of our waitress as soon as she comes over to give us her to go box because I would like to include her in this review. Carrie was our waitress. She looks to be all about 12 years old except for you can tell she's a very mature 12 years old ha ha very attentive to her customers very polite and her smile is a knockout. read more

Conveniently located, but by far the nastiest place to eat in Waupaca! I hate to give bad reviews on locally owned businesses but the food is pretty much awful and the whole place is sketchy. I wouldn't feel safe going there alone. read more

We were in Waupaca for a Days Vacation and stopped for Breakfast. Glad we did. The Server was friendly and Jim was welcoming both said Hi and happy smiles. The order came in a short amount of time and food looked and tasted Great. The restaurant was sunny, clean and relaxing. This could hands down be the worst breakfast we've ever had. Hashbrowns had zero flavor, toast wasn't even toasted, scrambled eggs were raw, hamburger steak was solid grease, and the chicken fried steak was gray and soggy. Never again!! read more

No complaints from here. My boyfriend ordered a double cheese burger and I ordered strawberry Belgium waffles. We came here between 8-9 AM, and the parking lot looked full but there was plenty of room inside: and many of the people are older. Our sever was great, she always made sure we had something to drink and checked backed with us often. The food was good too. And this was the first time I've ever been full from having waffles before. The customers inside the restaurant were friendly too, we talked to a guy and saw many smiling faces. All in all, it was a great experience, with happy people and great food. Our waitress even came running out to our car when my boyfriend forgot his phone inside. Very clean, including bathrooms. We were seated immediately, and the waitress brought water right away. The portions of fries were large, and the fries were crisp and seasoned just right. The chicken bacon panini was cooked just right. I recommend that the menu clearly state that there are onions in the panini. The cod sandwich was excellent. Service was good. This is the first time we've visited Three Squares. We'll go back. read more

We visited the Three Squares Restaurant when we were snowed in at the Ramada across the street. We brought about 25 people from our gymnastics team with us and the waitress handled it like a champ. Even the owner came in to help cook. It wasn't the best quality food or the tastiest but I am guessing that under normal circumstances it would have been a little better. This joint has been a family favorite since I was in diapers. I am pleased that is is still around and going strong as many places from my childhood have fallen to the wayside. This place has gone through it's changes and improvements over the years but the food here has not faltered. It is your typical highway truck stop complete with a gas station, convenience store, and restaurant. A nice one stop shop when traveling through the area. Make sure you stop here when traveling through the area and make sure you have an appetite. I am about to let you in on a little secret on what to order. It is the only thing I have ever eaten here: The three squares burger. It is their signature item (no shit right? who would have thunk it!) A delicious, mouth-watering, bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce that will make you think that you have died and gone to heaven. The service here has always been very good. I liked the Valentine's Buffet. Sea food is my main craving. Everything on the buffet that I tried was super. The flavor of the Biscuts & gravy, was Yummy!! Stopped in for lunch this week. This restaurant is located in a travel center on the northwest corner of the 54/Cty QQ intersection just off of 10. There is plenty of parking around the restaurant, gas pumps, and a convenience store. Atmosphere: almost a diner setup with booths and tables. Nothing special on the walls or in the area to note of. Basically, as stated by another reviewer, a typical truck stop environment. Service: service was quick and attentive. Had a number of coca cola refills during the meal. Our orders were taken promptly after sitting down and the wait was around 10 minutes to the meal coming out. Food: My wife had a barley soup and roast beef sandwich. I had a double quarter pound cheeseburger with fries. My wife noted that the roast beef sandwich came only with a roll and roast beef...nothing else on it. But, the barley soup was great and the roast beef did taste good. My burger was somewhere around a 7 out of 10, pretty decent. The fries were a lot and hot. All in all, worth the price we paid. One down note: I had a $25 card but was not able to use it. The machine was broken so we had to use our own cards and wait another day to use the $25 card. Price: on the mark. Total was around $20 for the bill. Go back: sure, even if I didn't have a card....was a decent burger for lunch and filling for a lunch. read more

While I was sitting at my table I was looking around and noticed an older lady waitress in the kitchen, she evidentially decided that the plate that the cooks put the food on was not big enough so she took it upon herself to move the food over to the new plate with her hands. She put the toast on the counter and moved all the other food to the new plate then licked her fingers and put the toast back on the new plate and took it out to a table. I've lived in the area about 20 years but 2 weeks ago the husband, who grew up here and dined here all his life, took me out after bar to the 3 Squares. I agree with the other reviewers who said it is clean, well run with excellent service. I had a french toast breakfast. It was very good with high quality ingredients. The bacon was thoroughly cooked, crisp yet not burnt. My husband had a shrimp combo dinner with hashbrowns. It too was very good. The prices were reasonable.
