Every time I've come into this store I felt extremely uncomfortable maybe it was the piercing maskless eyes of the owner that follow me around. The thing I've always personally disliked about places that try to come off as a POC queer friendly business is the prices. Especially if you come in here and see the price of the NAG CHAMPA and SAGE... or any of that fake boho spirituality crap. The liquor store next door sells the same shit for $2 and you can pay a whole $6-$10 to cleanse your filthy soul here at thriftology. This is just your typical resale scalper store. They re use bags which I have no qualms with except one time I purchased something with dirt inside the bag. it was so gross. Anyway this store is clearly not meant for the POC black queer community it claims to be for especially when it pays them less than the clothes they sell there. Shameless that soulless woman ought to be. POC and black queer communities value safety of others and accessibility. Don't be so easily fooled by a silly sign on the door. Peoples moralities are never hidden but the lack of conviction is what fails us each time. Found this store through google while I was on a road trip from LA to AZ, and WOW did I stumble across a gem!! The store is a total vibe from the minute you pull up. Once I was inside I was greeted by staff and non other than the owner! She was an absolute sweetheart and exactly what you hope for when supporting small businesses! Go here instead of other chain second hand stores like Goodwill/Savers/Angel View, they are all greedy and profit hungry. Duchess and her staff(including some of her family who was helping out!) truly create a dream thrifting experience. Not only were the kind and helpful, but they were also laughing, playing music and just created such a welcoming environment! Everything is clean & washed, great quality items at the perfect prices! Not like some of these other second hand store who sell dirty gross ugly pieces for way too high. I will be stopping by here every time I'm in the desert now!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! read more

If you are a fan of thrifting, do not go here!! This is an overpriced second hand store not a thrift store. Last time I visited this business I saw the owner shopping next door and brining those products back to her shop which is very unprofessional. The owner of this business does not wear/enforce mask the entire pandemic which is very unprofessional and shows this business does not care about the health of their employees/customers/the public. When I asked if mask were required their answer was "whatever makes you feel comfortable" which made me uncomfortable. Some of the employees their were very nice but seemed very overworked which made me upset. I would now recommend this place to anyone. Would not shop here if you are a fan of thrifting. This is not a thrift store, it is very overpriced. It also made me very uncomfortable that the owner was not wearing a mask during a pandemic. Especially in California when cases have been very high in numbers. That shows that the owners of this business do not care about the health of their customer/staff. The staff was very kind but they seemed very overworked which made me upset. Wouldn't recommended this place to anyone. The employees also seemed to be treated unfairly. Not only is everything extremely overpriced but the owner was also not wearing her mask when we are clearly in a covid outbreak. Some of the pieces I could find for cheaper at angel view. I genuinely don't understand the hype for this store. Also found a brand of pants I have thrifted in the past for over 30 dollars when I have gotten them for 7. The owner has got to do better because how are you going to call yourself a thrift store with these prices. read more

Lovely store! Definitely not your average goodwill type thrift-store. I found vintage tees , one of a kind items, especially in the home goods section, most thrift-stores just have dusty nic-naks.. you know.
