Absolutely ridiculous! Every business should be required to keep their hours and open/closed days UPDATED on Yelp and Google. If you can't even take 5 minutes out of your day--or have one of your employees do it--to make sure your business info is correct, that's just BAD management. Period. People waste time, gas, and energy driving out to places that are closed when they say they're open. It's beyond frustrating and shows zero respect for your customers. There's no excuse in 2025 for businesses not keeping their info current. Do better!

Interesting collection of vintage and new. Most prices were very high. However, I did buy a vintage formal dress for $20. I didn't care for the mural on the building. It's offensive. I did think twice about going in because of that, but I had not been to Thriftology since they were previously located on San Pablo. I have been wanting to stop in for a while, so, I was curious. I thought they were more humble, but there's a sign on the door that tells you to leave if you are racist, misogynistic, etc. Of course nobody wants to be around this types of people. I get it. It's your business and you can refuse the right to do business with anyone, but it's so unnecessary and not very inclusive. How can you spot a racist? They have another store around back that carries lots of different spiritual paraphernalia. But not of the God kind. This place is not for everyone. It's definitely not for me. I'm good. There are lots of thrift shops out there that are not biased or woke.

Fun little thrift store in Palm Desert with limited parking out front. Very friendly staff, orderly but limited selection of jewelry and clothes. I found a fun neoprene purse for $9, which was a fair price for a used purse in good condition. The incense smell is a bit overwhelming when you first walk in, though.

What a fun shop. It reminds me of a curated thrift shop I remember in the 90s, Aardvarks, in The Valley, except this shop is more organized. The people that work here are delightful and made us feel welcomed, for sure. The owner and I briefly discussed a painting of NKOTB and it turns out both of us preferred Donnie ^_^ We found many statement pieces in the clothing section. If you are into styling photos, or modeling cool vintage stuff, you could find what you need here. The sign on the door made me feel safe, too. It was clear they don't allow a**holes inside. First time I've ever been to a place like that!

The message on the front door is clear...be kind! They are extremely kind to everyone, and the vibe inside is just relaxing and happy.

This is the best thrift store in the entire Coachella Valley. The variety of clothes is great, and the sizes are well labeled. Everything is clean and well taken care of. Stock is moved frequently. But what makes the store heads and tails above any others is the owner Dutchess. Dutchess makes every guest feel like family. She is genuinely happy to see you and to help with any questions you may have. She supports local artists and gives them space in her store so it's a nice mix of vintage and handmade. Every business should have a similar message as the one on this door. Seriously cool!

The store is nicely displayed. Better than a thrift store. I drove 30mins out from my villa to have an experience with this shop. I personally didn't find anything I wanted to purchase due to the cost of items. I respect their pricing. Ss a vintage clothing seller myself I understand unique pieces brings in higher value. I do recommend this shop if you're interested area. However be aware you will not pay thrift store/goodwill prices.

I love the signage on the entrance door! Friendly staff, but the inventory is pretty ordinary, really. There was an interesting selection of batiks and other textile art, but that was about it. I was hoping for more of a thrift-boutique, with higher quality items, not jammed together, with more, and interesting, non-clothing items. Some of the items on the $1 sale rack outside had holes or were otherwise damaged. I don't know why the store claims to be carefully curated. It's not showing! read more

I had never been here before. The prices were great and the folks inside were very friendly. I was with my two daughters and two of us bought items. In town for a couple of days and took the opportunity to pick a couple thrift stores to take my teenage daughter to. SO glad I picked this one! We both found great items! Unique shoes, jewelry and clothing. I really love that they wash all the clothing before they put it out too. However the best part was meeting Dutchess. I was in Palm Desert from LA. for a 3 day getaway . My BFF and I love thrifting and we saw the great reviews and decided to give this place a whirl. I found the perfect 1970's vintage camel colored leather boots with a wood heel in pristine condition, a green comic book t-shirt for my son, a reusable tote for my daughter with a hand drawn picture of the Thriftology owner created by her daughter, and a fun pair of leopard and gold earrings perfect for that next night on the town. If you're looking for a thrift store that you will definitely find something that you love, check this place out first!!! The store itself has a fantastic aesthetic with matching stock. The owner is such a sweet person. You can tell the staff loves being there and it's a fun experience. It is a little more expensive than your average thrift store but I don't think the pieces are average. They're actually good prices. The vintage / more rare pieces are priced higher than newer items the way it should be. Plus they're staff pick section and monthly sales are cool ideas. Can't wait to back! read more

This place is awesome! So welcoming and inclusive, and I never felt rushed or bored... so much to look at! The owners are so friendly, and they have great selections of all you could hope for - plus the shop is super organized, clean and smells great! That's a huge plus for me haha, really makes the experience. I came all the way from Seattle and specifically wanted to check this place out and I'm so happy I did. I have never found so many good finds in one spot. The clothing selection is phenomenal as well as the customer service. I loved the fact that the staff has a section of the store where they pick out pieces/outfits that they recommend. The owner, Duchess, is such a wonderful women. She is so beautiful on the inside and out. She is so passionate, personable, and kind. I would 100% recommend Thriftology to literally any human being that walks. P.S. the city council should let Duchess close that road down and let her have her open air market. If you can do it for food then you can do it for art. read more

My friend and I were driving by and were instantly drawn into the store. We got in and loved the atmosphere and the pieces were all so beautiful and fun! The store owner was so nice and I just wish I could go more often (it's a bit of a drive for me.) But I found such a pretty dress that fit me just right. These items are donated 100% free of charge, yet many are priced as if they're brand new--or even more expensive than buying them new on sale at a retail store. The whole purpose of a thrift store is to make secondhand items affordable while supporting the community. Instead, it feels like someone with no understanding of value is pricing these donations based on wishful thinking rather than reality. I've seen chipped home décor, worn clothing, used kitchen items, and damaged furniture with price tags that made me laugh out loud. At these prices, I'd rather spend a few dollars more and buy something brand new with a warranty and the ability to return it. Goodwill has forgotten what made people love thrift stores in the first place. Until pricing becomes reasonable again, I'll gladly take my business to local thrift stores where donated items are actually priced like donated items.

On one side they have very art minded/stylish furniture and home furnishings, then they have paintings, lighting fixtures, and sporting goods in the back, books and CDs on the left wall and clothes in the middle. They have some designer clothes and other collectible items and those are in showcases in the front of the store. Everything is reasonably priced. The store is very well organized and spaced out. They carry mostly used items, but they do get random lots of new items donated to them. And hey, it is Palm Springs. Where else would you find a rack of jock straps for sale? Me? I looked at Comme des Garcones that were too big for my feet and passed on those. I exited with a couple of DVDs. I will find something else here next time I visit Palm Springs!

Something similar to the Northridge or even Burbank mall when I first walked in. There's plenty of parking and a covered structure which is a major plus out here in the desert. The summer heat and walking back to your car after it's been sitting out, no bueno. For the two main departments stores, Macys on one end and JC Penny's on the other end. Macys also has a home store which you don't see as often. The other bigger stores, Dicks and Barnes and Nobles. Then inside you have the usual stores, nothing fancy. There's your usual H&M which is decent size, Victoria Secrets, Hollister, American Eagle, Tilly's, Bath and Body Works, Express and a few other retail store you would expect inside a mall. Nothing fancy but the usual. Then there's some small business which seemed like they're family owned. The mall isn't that big, a good length from one end to the other. I walked in on Mother's Day's for the first time which they were hosting afternoon tea right in the middle of the plaza. It was cute and raffles were given with prizes offered from the retail insides. In my opinion, it's a mall. Nothing major or special about it. You would think that if it is the only main mall in town, it should be worth it. But I guess it'll do.

The first thing I saw was how FRESH and HEALTHY everything looked. The ingredients were vibrant and clearly prepared with care. After speaking with the owner, I learned this is a FAMILY OWNED business that recently opened, and I was one of their early customers. That made the experience even more meaningful. For my first visit, I tried the tuna wrap and it was AMAZING. The owner was PASSIONATE about the food and took the time to explain the menu and the value is great. You can tell there is real pride behind what they serve. They also offer WRAPS, FRESH SALADS, AND BURGERS, so there are plenty of options depending on what you want. The atmosphere was FRIENDLY, WELCOMING, AND FAMILY ORIENTED. If I am back at the mall, I will definitely come again. IF YOU ARE AT THE SHOPS AT PALM DESERT, GO UPSTAIRS AND CHECK OUT IT'S A WRAP. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

I lived in the desert for years and thought I had seen everything... until the day I watched a…read morepoodle shop at Louis Vuitton on El Paseo. Not walk by. Not peek in. Shop. This wasn't just any poodle either. This was a fully groomed, cloud-like creature with a level of confidence most people don't have. The kind of poodle that looks like it has opinions about fabrics. It walked into the store like it had an appointment. There was a brief pause at the entrance... a moment to take it all in... and then a slow, deliberate stroll past the displays, as if deciding between classic monogram or something a little more understated this season. And the best part? No one reacted Everyone just... accepted it ..... As if this poodle had been there before. As if it had a purchase history At one point it stopped near a display.... looked up ever so slightly, and I swear it gave off the energy of "this one, but in a different color." I didn't see what it left with, but I have a strong feeling it wasn't empty-handed. Only in Palm Desert do you find yourself watching a poodle casually browse Louis Vuitton... and somehow, it makes perfect sense.

Every time I've come into this store I felt extremely uncomfortable maybe it was the piercing maskless eyes of the owner that follow me around. The thing I've always personally disliked about places that try to come off as a POC queer friendly business is the prices. Especially if you come in here and see the price of the NAG CHAMPA and SAGE... or any of that fake boho spirituality crap. The liquor store next door sells the same shit for $2 and you can pay a whole $6-$10 to cleanse your filthy soul here at thriftology. This is just your typical resale scalper store. They re use bags which I have no qualms with except one time I purchased something with dirt inside the bag. it was so gross. Anyway this store is clearly not meant for the POC black queer community it claims to be for especially when it pays them less than the clothes they sell there. Shameless that soulless woman ought to be. POC and black queer communities value safety of others and accessibility. Don't be so easily fooled by a silly sign on the door. Peoples moralities are never hidden but the lack of conviction is what fails us each time. Anyway consider the lives risked of all those who choose to not wear a mask and the values of those who choose to deceive u with their allyship. wear your mask lady! your breathe is hot :( read more

Found this store through google while I was on a road trip from LA to AZ, and WOW did I stumble across a gem!! The store is a total vibe from the minute you pull up. Once I was inside I was greeted by staff and non other than the owner! She was an absolute sweetheart and exactly what you hope for when supporting small businesses! Go here instead of other chain second hand stores like Goodwill/Savers/Angel View, they are all greedy and profit hungry. Duchess and her staff(including some of her family who was helping out!) truly create a dream thrifting experience. Not only were the kind and helpful, but they were also laughing, playing music and just created such a welcoming environment! Everything is clean & washed, great quality items at the perfect prices! Not like some of these other second hand store who sell dirty gross ugly pieces for way too high. I will be stopping by here every time I'm in the desert now!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! read more

If you are a fan of thrifting, do not go here!! This is an overpriced second hand store not a thrift store. Last time I visited this business I saw the owner shopping next door and brining those products back to her shop which is very unprofessional. The owner of this business does not wear/enforce mask the entire pandemic which is very unprofessional and shows this business does not care about the health of their employees/customers/the public. When I asked if mask were required their answer was "whatever makes you feel comfortable" which made me uncomfortable. Some of the employees their were very nice but seemed very overworked which made me upset. I would now recommend this place to anyone. Especially and establishment that overworks their employees and does not care about the health and safety of others. read more

Would not shop here if you are a fan of thrifting. This is not a thrift store, it is very overpriced. It also made me very uncomfortable that the owner was not wearing a mask during a pandemic. Especially in California when cases have been very high in numbers. That shows that the owners of this business do not care about the health of their customer/staff. The staff was very kind but they seemed very overworked which made me upset. Wouldn't recommended this place to anyone. The employees also seemed to be treated unfairly. Never support a business that treats their workers unfair/does not care about the health of everyone around them. read more

Not only is everything extremely overpriced but the owner was also not wearing her mask when we are clearly in a covid outbreak. Some of the pieces I could find for cheaper at angel view. I genuinely don't understand the hype for this store. Also found a brand of pants I have thrifted in the past for over 30 dollars when I have gotten them for 7. The owner has got to do better because how are you going to call yourself a thrift store with these prices. read more

Lovely store! Definitely not your average goodwill type thrift-store. I found vintage tees , one of a kind items, especially in the home goods section, most thrift-stores just have dusty nic-naks.. you know.
