Some juice bars and acai bowl establishments make them sickly sweet but Thrive's signature Acai bowl has the right balance of everything and their house granola is yummy too! I got the Stimulator Smoothie and I was disappointed. 1. Its supposed to be a smoothie - it was not smooth. I could feel chunks of banana and crushed ice with almost every sip. It wasn't blended well at all. 2. It tasted watery, making it hard to identify the different ingredients (banana, sprouted almond milk, coffee, dates, cinnamon and cacao maca protein) . It just tasted like ice water mixed with everything. Like I said I think ice was added cause I could feel the crushed ice and I think this made it bland. 3. Price: ended up paying $9 for this 16oz and it definitely wasn't worth it. Customer service was great and I liked that I could order on GrubHub and just pick up. read more

Honesty the best açaí bowl you'll ever have!! They have gluten free granola. It's also soy free. I come here because of those allergies. Fresh and made to order, and the consistency is perfect and veryyyy thick. Would have loved it but felt the discrimination immediately. I am a young black woman came here dressed normally, had braids at the time, and came with my friend. We ordered what we wanted and the girl working the day immediately asked if we were taking it to go as though she did not want me in particular to stay and enjoy my drink there as I don't fit the typical Newport beach look. And, said we were eating/drinking indoors/for here she looked super disappointed *why am I not surprised*. And, the cherry on top this other customer took it upon herself when I was seated with my friend to break her neck to stare at me like bending her back to look over her partner for over 5 minutes straight even when caught she continued. No one in the shop did anything just let the behavior continue. Honestly, would not be back, and would not recommend it as a POC friendly establishment. read more

My favorite & go- to place for an açaí bowl! This place tops the chart with their matta green tea latte (with light ice) of course! I come here nearly 2-4 times a week just for a healthy breakfast or afternoon pick me up. It's gotten to the point where most of the employees already know my name. My order is a PB açaí with strawberry and bananas instead of their berries (raspberries & blueberries), nut butter, and extra coconut shreds on top! Super yum and worth the try if your in oc especially since it's very accessible near the 55. One thing I have noticed is that during the week the matcha latte will be more rich and tastier whereas on the weekends it's definitely a lot more matcha. Up until last month I decided to give their "bliss balls" a shot and to my amazement they were delicious! Yesterday I went in, and the day before but they didn't have the cookie dough one I love, but so I ordered one chocolate and one mint, I had doubts about the mint bliss ball at first , but after my first bite I'm hooked it's my favorite!! Thrive is my favorite place ever! For the first time I don't have to research the label like many other "healthy" places. High prices but you get what you pay for. Raw bites, wholesome muffins (including GF option), organic granola, soups, you name it. The raw snacks + protein bars are packed with super healthy ingredients. My pb açaí bowl always tastes fresh & perfect. I appreciate that they have a variety of options if you are watching what you eat. No artificial flavors, sketchy chemicals, or artificial flavors here. Also super happy they don't do agave & put healthier options like coconut nectar, dates & maple syrup. Happy they opened a location closer to UCI. A major plus is that they partner with local healthy businesses like Wild Fleur Baking Co. Okay..so I would rate Thrive Juice lab 3.5 stars but the lady that helped us was pretty nice and their juice makes me feel good so I'm rounding up to 4. We came here on the way to a day hike in Laguna and we had just finished eating a massive California breakfast burrito, Some green juice sounded like a good idea because we were getting food coma. We were told that Thrive cold presses their juices every morning and my friend got one of their green juices and one of their coffees. These were $10 each. The coffee tasted pretty amazing, it had ingredients such as dates and nutmeg but didn't seem like there was too much caffeine. (though to be fair I like my coffee muddy so..) I got a green juice smoothie and they allowed me to make some substitutions. Everything tasted fine, I just thought it was really overpriced. They don't mention it, they just send me out the door and I get an email from about the refund. They don't even give me the opportunity to choose a new salad. I'm also tipping on the total amount so it's an over inflated tip for this terrible service. I called and asked for the manager to call me and it never happened. This is an awesome place to go for natural, healthy, organic selections. The salads look good although I have not tried them yet. I did order a smoothie "make my own" which consisted of strawberry, banana, peanut butter and vanilla protein powder. It was delicious and throughout the afternoon I enjoyed sipping on it. My tummy had been a little unsettled and it hit the spot. It actually calmed my stomach! I noticed they had some cool food items like cleanes, energy items, weight loss and stamina drinks as well as cookies. Why not a shot of Lemon Ginger? I liked how quick the service was as I ordered 3 smoothies and the customer service was extremely helpful. They had 3 sizes for the smoothies and I got the medium however I did feel it was a bit pricey at $10.20. I am interested in coming back for some green juices and additional items as everything looked fresh. I love organic and think it is well worth the price.
