FOOD: Well since I'm a foodie, the food gets a thumbs down. I ordered French Toast (my favorite) and it was extremely dry. How can this be?! So I built me a omelette with all the right ingredients, and that was dry too! So disappointing! The rest of my party ordered blueberry pancakes which was ok, but not fluffy as expected. This was my first time at the Trilith location. We went on a weekday so it was not too busy. I very much enjoyed it. It is a smaller place so I imagine there can be a long wait on the weekends. An absolute MUST visit!! The greeter (Miss Honey) was so sweet and personable I loved that and our server (Mr. Pablo) was awesome as well. Oooook so been to this location several times. Today was my birthday and I decided to try something different which I have had years ago but at another location. I had waffle n 3 smoke chicken wings. The waffle was delicious, the wings had no flavor although they were smoked. My husband had salmon croquettes, grits, eggs and toast. He said the salmon croquettes had no seasoning for the filling, grits were good. I also had the Louie coffee which they have downsized the cup size as you see in the photo. This was my first time at this location, it's a pretty small location but doable. The food was amazing, especially the Fried Catfish. The service started off strange but eventually got much better. The encounter at the door was not welcoming which is why I made the previous statement. When we walked in the hostess was not very welcoming and seemed bothered but we asked to sit at the bar and he became our server and for some reason his attitude completely changed. We picked up a fried chicken dinner box for an event at Trilith tonight, and the service and food were top notch! The fried chicken was excellent and the sides were so good. The wait was excruciating. I sat outside and fell asleep while waiting an hour for a table, but I really wanted either French toast or a waffle for breakfast. Kam was a very nice host and when a table with an umbrella finally became available he set it up because they don't seem to have anyone to bus the tables. Parker was a personable waiter who introduced himself as Spider-Man, and actually looks like Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker. The grapefruit juice was very good and just the right amount. It was interesting that they served the juice in a glass, but water in a plastic cup. When the food came, the bacon was perfectly crispy, although a bit overly salty. The fried egg was ok. Then the disappointment. The one thing I was looking forward to was the French Toast. The butter and syrup were not served warm, and the bread was doughy. I was hoping for a crispy outside with soft center, but is was all doughy and the butter didn't melt. Who wants to eat a bite of raw butter? So I asked for the waffle with pecans instead. It was ok, but still not warm enough to melt the butter. I asked for melted butter and warm syrup and was told they don't do that. Hmmm. Parker improvised and brought packages of syrup in a cup of hot water, but the butter still didn't melt. So my big hopes of a yummy waffle or French toast for breakfast this morning were not fulfilled at this local Trilith diner. read more

My mom and her friend went to this location and she was not happy with her experience. First of all, she ordered a pecan Belgian waffle and they cut the waffle in the middle like a sandwich and threw some pecan pieces in the middle. She said the waffle she ordered and the French toast her friend ordered were room temperature. The eggs are not cooked with salt and I don't know why they do that. It's so flavorless that way. I didn't know this location existed until I did a Yelp search. We were out Black Friday shopping and had an appetite to deal with from carrying bags. Everyone at the table was very satisfied with the size and quality of their food. There wasn't a long wait time, and the food came out hot. I ordered a waffle on the side that I had to remind the waiter, and it was a little time to receive it, and I almost said I didn't want it, but I was really craving a waffle. It was ok, probably the least favorite of food. I had the ultimate breakfast, with catfish, shrimp & grits, eggs with salmon, cream cheese, etc. It was sooo good and plentiful. The catfish was excellent, crisp outside, soft inside and seasoned to perfection. Whoever fried that catfish knew something about frying fish. My tables matea had the low country and skillet heap.
