The Georgia Salad hit the spot for something healthy and filling. The Creme Brule for desert was a perfect reward for eating healthy and then splurging.

2 Sides of Salmon & 1 Side of Chicken

I'm the type to order straight up protein when I go to restaurants. No sauces, no sides... Just give me the meat. At Village Cafe I ordered 2 sides of salmon and 1 side of chicken (these proteins are options to top their salads). When my order arrived, the salmon didn't look terrible but the chicken looked like it was beaten. However, when I took a bite of the salmon, I could tell it was slightly rancid, ready to turn to fully rancid. I eat A LOT of salmon and I can tell when salmon is about to go bad/not good quality and the salmon served to me was honestly borderline trash. It wasn't 100% inedible and I also hate food waste, so I ate it... Excuse me, choked it down... And thought to myself how NOT GOOD it was the entire time. The chicken was dry AF (salmon as well) but it had better flavor than the salmon (ie: it didn't taste like it was going bad). My friends didn't say a word about their food, they just ate so I think they didn't mind their meals but they also weren't mind blowing or they would have said something. I ordered a ribeye to go for my husband (before I tasted my food) and was worried it was going to be trash but he told me that it was phenomenal. So perhaps stick with the red meat at Village Cafe if you give it a shot. Just avoid the salmon at all costs!

Absolutely phenomenal lunch stop! I dropped by The Village Café after a listing appointment, and let me just say--what a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-tier. My server, Wick, was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and on point with recommendations. I ordered the French Onion Soup, and WOW. Hands down, one of the best bowls I've ever had. It was rich, savory, and beautifully balanced--not just a bowl of broth, but a hearty, satisfying mix of caramelized onions, toasted croutons, and that melted blanket of cheese that clings to your spoon just right. Every bite was comforting and packed with flavor. It was a pleasant surprise to find a soup so flavorful and filling, especially for only $7. It's clear that The Village Café puts real love into their food. If you're ever in Fayetteville and need a lunch spot that delivers both quality and comfort--this is the place. I'll absolutely be back--and next time, I'm bringing friends!

Hidden gem nestled among a smorgasbord of retail, medical, human services and culinary mixed use space. The business name doesn't evoke images of flavorful meals created with intent and real deal ingredients, but that's what you'll find on the menu once you walk and wait to be seated in huge oversized booths. Family members enjoyed a couple of the burgers, i had a pasta dish with a bountiful array of seasoned veggies and wonderfully seasoned grilled chicken, and another family member ordered the lasagna which was Huge! And one of a couple of dishes that are accompanied by a side salad. Your tastebuds will thank you. If you are tired of the bland fare many places are serving up, you need to try this place. The atmosphere included music overhead that was Instrumental Classics of past and present songs we all rushed to answer before other family members. The manager/owner came over and chatted with us a bit for a personal touch. Will definitely be back!

It's a family owned local restaurant with ambiance. The service and food are amazing!!! I have a week left on my assignment and I will be here as often as I can. Ally (pronounced Allie) was my server and she knocked it outta the park!!

We had a great time with good food and service for our Christmas party. It's a great place.

Should be called... Village Crappe Café!

On my travels through Fayetteville I decided to stop for lunch at the Village Café due to its great reviews. At first this eatery looked very inviting as I looked over their menu, I decided on a juicy Prime Rib Sandwich and a Caesar salad. The server was very pleasant and at first glance the restaurant looked quite nice with its artwork on the walls, but as I waited for my taste morsel... I started to notice things that made me worry! All the air vents were covered with a heavy layer of dust that blows on the food and people while sitting in the restaurant. As I looked down, I noticed the carpet was worn and very soiled to the point that it made me cringe. I immediately started to think about the food I ordered. I was going to get up and leave but the nice server came out with the food and I decided to stay... which turned out to be a big mistake! My juicy prime rib sandwich turned out to be slices of some kind of meat held together by swiss cheese, onions and some mushrooms with a greasy oil oozing out. The Caesar salad was wilted and had a very bad taste. This Village Café can't be the one with all the great reviews... it should be called the village crappe café!

Crab cake? It was not good and not crab.

My brother told me about this place earlier this week and he was ranting and raving about how good…read morethe food was. I checked the menu and to my surprise.... They had a pastrami sandwich on there. If you know me... you KNOW I LOVES me a good pastrami sandwich. So of course I decided to try it out. The location is in a strip mall/shopping center, where there is a lot of parking. I was able to park right up front. Upon walking in, I was instantly greeted. The young man gave me a few minutes to review the menu, but I was looking for something to go with the sandwich I already had in mind lol. I asked what he would recommend, and he stated the Samosas.... Chicken or Vegetable. In addition to my pastrami sandwich, I ordered the chicken samosas. I was able to sit down and wait for my food as they were preparing it. The restaurant reminded me of a pizza shop, but it smelled so much different. The young man also let me know that the bread for the sandwich is freshly baked, so you know my mouth was watering and ready for this sandwich lol. My food was extremely fresh and he made sure I was satisfied with how it looked before bagging it up for me. Of course I took my pictures before leaving because I had to drive like 15mins home. Anyways.... On the car ride home, I decided to eat one of the chicken samosas..... OH MY LORD!!! It was sooooooo good. I should've asked him if it was spicy before ordering because I don't like spicy food, however it was still good. Too spicy for me, but really good. When I got home I washed my hands and dove into my sandwich. Let me tellllll you. That bread though??? It was freaking amazing!!! There was just enough pastrami in the sandwich with the right amount of cheese. This sandwich was perfect. It was so filling that I could only eat half of it. You could also taste how fresh the bread was. I'll definitely be back to get another and I wanna try the kabob sandwich too. Great service and great food.... My type of combination!!

Upon scrolling, I came across Murray's in a Hurry and was excited to see the abundance of praise for their Butter Chicken. I loveeeeeeeeeee me some Butter Chicken. Upon pulling into the location, I was excited to see that it sat in a plaza style location which provided ample parking. Looking at the location. From the outside you might think it was a sub shop, however, the menu options quickly snap you out of those thoughts. To my dismay, when I arrived at 6pm, the Butter Chicken was sold out! Awwwwwwww... I wanted to cry. I mean literal tears. LoL! In speaking with the cashier, he was sharing with us some of their top selling items. Based on his recommendation and how good it looked on the picture on the wall, I decided to get an order of Hariyali Chicken with the sauce on the side. Once we placed the order we went to take a seat. The restaurant is very clean and has a super simple American Quick Eats design. A few tables and a few booths. Nothing that particularly stands out. However, it is a large space so whether a patty of two or patty of a few, it will work. When the food was brought to the table, the chicken was very fresh. You could smell the seasonings which made my taste buds excited. LoL! The chicken was meaty and moist. It was chopped in chunks which made it perfect for dipping in the green sauce. The chicken had thinly sliced onions and peppers which were cooked to perfection and added a nice light crunch texture to the dish. Overall, the food was very enjoyable. The flavor profiles are pleasing and provide an authentic Indian experience. The portions are perfect for the pricing. If you're in the area and in the mood for some Good Quality, Flavorful Indian Food, def make a trip to Murray's in a Hurry.
