Great experience each time. Typically there is a bit of a line which moves quickly and vouches for how great their coffee is! My favorite order is a cappuccino with avocado toast & a poached egg. Their bakery items look delicious as well - variation of croissants and muffins as well as lunch/tea sandwiches. They have a plethora of shared seating inside and outside so something is always available. High tops, small tables with chairs, dining room tables and communal couches. Comfortable and inviting atmosphere. There are two unisex bathrooms in the back. The sinks look a little unfinished, since they are out in the hallway, but that also adds to the relaxed ambience. read more

I'm basic. But not in a pumpkin spice latte kind of way. I'm basic in a cold brew, for here, black kind of way. I might occasionally ask for drip, or slow pour too. If I'm feeling fancy, I'll order and americano with almond milk. Thump takes care of all my basic needs and then some. Some people might hate this, but I love that the cashiers can often be seen sipping their own caffeinated beverage in their hand crafted for here mug while ringing people up. This place is casual, and does coffee well. They make their own pastries, their retail is well designed, and I have yet to find an outlet so I actually have to look up from my computer when it dies to make contact with other humans. Have you tried their avocado toasts? My favorite right now is a dill lovers dream. And the eggs are a #yolkporn dream. Parking isn't great but that's not really their fault. See you there. read more

I live a block and a half from here and frequently drop by for a coffee and muffin on the way to Cheesman Park. I like to burn and consume calories at the same time. HA! They are always friendly and are bougie enough with their coffee that I don't feel stupid when I ask questions but appreciate their knowledge of all they have to offer. I usually just get a black coffee to go because life is better with black coffee in it. I recently tried their rose mint tea and I really loved it. It was the perfect drink to have before I passed out after a night shift. I am also in love with their paleo muffins. They are a bit pricey but so worth it. Support your local business, am I right!? I totally understand why they are so popular. Their building inside and out is adorable. The wait staff was patient and informative. We got a couple of cups of coffee that were so good, I ordered another coffee to go. They had a lot of different kinds of gluten-free breakfast treats. They also have savory items. My pregnant friend had a cinnamon roll and then ordered a brownie to go when I ordered my second coffee. Both of her treats were gluten-free. I think that one of the treats was gluten-free and dairy free. She stated they were delicious she was very happy with her decisions. I had a savory sandwich, which melting in my mouth. The delicious bacon, cheese muffin was a great breakfast that morning and satisfied me until our very late lunch or early dinner we ate that day. read more

I wanted to add that I tried their steampunk coffee (the alpha dominche). It is like a reverse steam machine contraption that makes a SMOOTH almost OILY (buttery smooth if that's a more appetizing adjective) coffee. Yes it is way more expensive than their house BUT you REALLY CAN feel the difference in your mouth. Thoroughly impressed by this contraption that I've never seen anywhere else before. It's so scientific and me gusta science. Too bad it's like a 15K gadget that I can't get as an addition to my own kitchen. Oh and Saturdays are less ideal for studying. I recently moved near Thump and thoroughly enjoy it. The staff is always so friendly and upbeat. Really great, fast wi-fi which was very helpful when I didn't have mine set up in my new apartment. It does get pretty busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings with lines out the door, but it is out of their control and must be for a good reason! Thump is a cute coffee shop offering up some delicious toasts and breakfast items! I didn't try any of the pastries, but ordered a latte and the lox toast with poached eggs. It was topped with dill cream cheese, fresno chilis, cucumbers, onions and sesame seeds - YUM! There's a good amount of seating available and saw numerous people studying here. I don't normally write negative reviews during the last couple years giving establishments benefit of the doubt during these trying times. But, cantankerous snooty baristas are where I draw the line. After getting my coffee I was directed around the corner for cream... I decide to use the almond milk sitting on the counter, but in an ice bin. The barista told me in a snooty tone "next time she'd get that." I literally had to ask if she was talking to me. Then I went to get a refill on my $4 coffee. Disdainfully she told me there are no free refills and like at a bar you wouldn't get a free refill for a beer. Steeping coffee beans to fermenting an adult beverage should obviously be an apt comparison. Crimeny what a pompous ass they are! Theres enough going on in this world, find somewhere more amicable. read more

Good lattes. Americano and espresso is a bit underwhelming. Their lemon cookies are delicious. They get really packed with people working so if you need a spot with a plug, I would get here early. Seems like some people take advantage and just stay here for hours on end without ordering anything. Internet disconnects or stops working every now and then so is probably not the best spot for zoom meetings. Staff can be hit or miss, sometimes they're really cool and nice and other times they look at you like they're very unimpressed that you're asking them a question or didn't know that they don't have hazelnut syrup. read more

Stopped by here and was pleasantly surprised. The location is big and there's a ton of seating. They have a fairly large menu (for coffee shops at least) which is really nice. I got the cold brew with vanilla flavoring, but I didn't really taste the vanilla. I'd love to come back and try something else! Woah, this place is super cool. The food, the drinks, the interior, the staff; it's all really solid. I got some toast and split it with a friend (comes with two pieces of toast). It was a bit pricey, but pretty tasty. The toast was super thick and slathered with almond butter, bluebs, chia seeds, and almond slices (I think). There's a pretty good selection of pastries, if you're into those. I really appreciated their "social area" (no electronics) in the back area, so you can just hang and chat even when the place is packed with wifi squatters. read more

Went to Thump twice for morning lattes. Lattes were good and the environment was peaceful. I recommend going.

House roasted beans and espresso drinks in a minimalist space. We stopped by for some coffee and to get some work done before noon and it was extremely crowded. I had trouble connecting to the WiFi due to everyone on it at the same time. Atmosphere is great. Coffee was on point and the bathrooms are nice. Love this coffee spot. I definitely was under impressed by their coffee the first time I came around but I ended up buying a bag and it grew my appreciation for their quality and taste. The spot is pretty large for a coffee shop with extensive seating inside. They have a variety of other drinks and snacks (kombucha, milk cartons etc). Parking is located behind the building if you cant find any on the street. I'm not sure how conducive the place is to getting work done (dont remember if they have lots of charging spots). Food/drink: -Love their coffee, their beans are high quality and a personal Denver favorite. -Tried a muffin 1-2 times and it was phenomenal. I don't know anything about Thump in Bend but here in Denver most of the people we have dealt with that work there are pretentious hipsters with top-knots and tattoos at the 13th st location.Wow, sooo cool, grunge wants its look back. Customer service is not a priority and the interaction is like walking around with a wet sponge in your pocket all day. The employees at the 6th ave location were awesome. We tried to purchase a couple of 5lb bags and were denied because they said they didn't have enough even though there were at least 25 5lb bags on the shelf. The 6th ave location was always able to sell to us or they were kind enough to order in a bag or two upon request. I'm not saying that their coffee sucks but the half dozen times I've went there to try and get quantity they have sold to us once and the other times have had a less than a personable or kind interaction with us. I really liked this cute little Cafe! It's a great place to come and get some work done, they do have free wifi. In fact, the majority of people here had their laptops. The chai tea was delicious and I also tried the avocado smashed toast which hit the spot! Stopped in to grab a coffee on my morning walk. Waited 10 minutes outside and once I was in to order my drink, I had to wait another 10 minutes. When I was ordering, the cashier who was a woman with glasses refused service to me because I had my ES animal with me. Thump is one of my favorite coffee places in Denver so far. I can go there any day and be able to find a place to get work done and get great coffee. They have alternative milk and it doesn't change the flavor of the coffee. I haven't had the chance to try their pastries, but everyone seems to enjoy them! The staff always seem happy to see me (regardless of the hour) and also have some engaging conversation starter. You will probably find me here on a weekend, getting some work done or reading a book! Side note: if you have your own espresso machine and grind coffee beans at home, their coffee beans are on the drier side which doesn't lead to a more robust espresso flavor. Nothing bad, but not necessarily the strongest kick you'll need in your homemade latte. read more

Found this place on Yelp while looking for a good quick place to grab breakfast and catch up with a friend that was in town. It seemed like a great place to sit, chat and drink some coffee - boy was I right! This place has such a good atmosphere. When we arrived there was no line, and the service was super quick! I decided on the almond milk latte and it did not disappoint. Probably the best latte I've ever had, and love the design they do on every cup. As for the avocado toast, pretty much just your average avocado toast, but they have a bunch of other types that I guess I'll have to come back and try! The whole setup of this place is great. It's a stroke of luck that Thump is just down the street from my apartment. Flavorful, fruit-forward coffees, an open, airy ambiance and dead simple set of daily hours puts Thump at the top of my list in addition to the easy access. They recently started offering weekend brunch options that go a bit beyond the oatmeal, granola, yogurt or bagel fare found in most shops of this type. I always just go for their chocolate chip cookies with a macchiato, though; tried and true. The cookie is some unicorn-level mashup of sugar cookie and choco-chip cookie, sweet and crispy and wonderful. The atmosphere seems to always be of relaxed studiousness. Everyone is always very hard at work in here, almost like a communal workshop so it's a bit hushed and not a great place for having long, in-depth conversations about Sartre or whatever people talk about in coffee shops these days (organic, sustainable yoga-pants?). That's perfect for me; I most often head to Thump when I need to get a bit of work done but am sick of my lovely little abode - or too distracted by my cat to concentrate. For a place with an almost 1:1 human to laptop ratio though, there is a copious dearth of power outlets. Smart of Thump to keep people moving through; you're welcome, but don't sit here for 8 hours with one cup of coffee, is what they're saying. I can get behind that. read more
