This used to be my favorite driving range. Back in 2000 I took a golf lesson here. The instructor was very professional. Now the place is unkept. Big pothole in the parking area you have to be on a lookout for and I've seen a snake because the grass is never cut. The people there are very nice and so is the dog jefe. I thought the place was closed last time I went but no just go right on up and they'll give you your balls. read more

Its a cool little spot, people are polite, take cash I have never used a card there. Its not pretty at all but if your intent is to have a few beers and hit some ball then this is a great place. It feels intimate when I am there as it is usually only 4 other people during my 1 1/2hr of being there. This place is best used for the novice golfer. If you are fine tuning then look elsewhere. read more

This place is rad! Tin Cup at its finest. Take it for what it is... a hole in the wall driving range that is cheap and let's you hit off the grass any day of the week. I came in with my girlfriend to show her how to golf. I was embarrassed after bringing her here. The owner had only 2 baskets of balls at 930am, all the furniture was flipped over. I asked if he was ok, he only mumbled some cus words and waved me away. I think there is something wrong mentally with the owner, it's a shame this place could make so much money if they ran it right and sold food and drinks. read more

I never write reviews but man is this place terrible. Price are cheap that's cool but everything else yikes.

I went to go batting and 1. They raised there prices, it used to be 4 tokens for $5 and there was 16 pitches each token 2. They told us we couldn't go batting because they never picked up the balls so there wasn't any in the machine. So instead of them collecting the balls from the field and letting us bat they just told us we couldn't bat. This place is overpriced and they don't do there job here. read more

All facilities are sub-standard in badly need of repair/upgrade. Hauled my clubs out of the car and then saw the poor hitting surfaces, lumpy turf (mostly dirt), old range balls, and overall poor facilities. Even though I'm not a picky golfer and have played my share of blue collar public links, I could not use this place and did not want to spend a half-hour there. My experience here wasn't great. I had purchased some certificates from golfnow for credits here. I purchased 2 60 dollar gift cards. Upon showing up and showing it to the owner, the owner acted as if I was trying to cheat him. He asked me how much I paid and what its worth. I told him it a 60 dollar gift card to his business. He then said that he doesn't remember what his deal with was with this company. To me, its not really my problem. You as a business owner sign up for advertisement through another business you should know. I just know that my certificates were worth 60 and i assumed that should get me 60 dollars credits to his business. Needless to say, he did not accept them, but he did give me a bucket for my trouble out there. Not very professional, but he was courteous. I've never had a company sign up for a groupon type deal and then not know what they signed up for. Its far up Escondido and kind of a drive out of the way. It has grass mats and a grass sections. It goes to about 250 yards I think. Good for practice. I didn't see the prices of the buckets, but they looked normal. They have some outdoor open air batting cages which is kind of a cool. I probably will not be coming back. Its out of the way for me and I was a little dissapointed in my groupon. Luckily the golfnow company said they would reimburse me. read more

This is a local blue collar range but it does the job. We've gone several times for their batting cages and a bucket of range balls. I wouldn't recommend going after a rain since the outdoor (dirt) cages get very muddy. There is a slow pitch softball, a fast pitch baseball, and a little league speed cage (not very accurate) but that's sorta helpful to prepare for live pitching. All in all this place works but don't expect too much and you'll be happy. read more

First time today and I have to say, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Right off the 15fwy which makes it very convenient. I have to say the prices there for the basket of balls are unbeatable. You will not get that deal anywhere else GUARANTEED. These guys even have golf club loaners for those of you that didn't plan on golfing and you just happen to stop by. Granted its not as nice as most driving ranges, especially Stadium Golf, but its nice and quite. I was here last Sunday for a golf lesson with my boyfriend. We both needed to improve our swing and this location provided no distractions or intimidation. The grass it a little hacked up but who cares right? especially since I was contributing and giving the grass in my area a really bad hair cut! lol There was a total of 10 people the whole hour and half we were there. If you want some open air batting cages, this is the place you should go. Three cages, all open air. Super fun place, cheap. Good exercise. I have enjoyed many evenings crushing home run distance hits into the course at this joint. Rad place. read more

I've been coming here for several years to practice. It helps that it's close to where I live. I was here last Saturday to hit a bucket of balls. I can't hit far but I can hit straight. This is a great place to practice either on grass or artificial. I recommend it. read more

I've just started using the T-Bird range again for the last few months after a two year layoff due to old age injuries. It's under new ownership and they're trying their best to make improvements and I could see the improvement in the hitting areas, grass tees and putting green, the first time I approached the it. I just got back from hitting a medium bucket of 70+ balls, which I got for $2 off the normal $7 price tag. Just for mentioning I follow them on google or liked them on facebook. Pretty cool, I think. The practice green is free and well kept though not quite as fast as some might like. The best thing to me is the permanently covered mat tees that keep me out of direct sunlight and heat. Makes for a much more pleasant experience. The management and maintenance crew are super friendly and always happy to talk golf with me. I'm not crazy about the bunker practice area they have in the back, but it serves it's purpose if you're having trouble understanding the mechanics of sand play. Overall, I'd give them five stars if they had an automatic ball return on that bunker area. If you're looking for a good place to practice at the best price, this is the place. read more

This driving range is a dump but we thought at $80.00 for 13 large buckets of balls it was cheap. We bought the $80.00 card and when we had used 10 buckets the refused to honor it any longer. We showed them the sign that said 13 buckets for $80.00 but they said we bought a different card. Really??? When we first started going there it was a cheap dump but now it is just a dump. They advertise a putting green but it is a circle full of weeds about 90% weeds 5% grass and the rest is bear dirt. There is no way you could practice putting there. They advertise covered driving which is plywood rotting and falling down around us. They advertise misters. They don't exist any longer. They advertise sand trip practice but you cannot use it because they don't weed it. The balls are on their last leg I think they buy the used up balls from other driving ranges. Sad to say we need to find a new driving range. Don't waste your money. Don't let them rip you off. read more

I practice here all the time since it is easy freeway close, and I can hit off grass. Mats are okay and available if you like, but grass for me. The range has several targets and is kept clean. Simple putting green. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is friendly. Love it. read more
