Tuesday, the sub maker on Riverside, created a beautiful sub with ample turkey and cheese sliced into wide strips. She added two perfectly formed scoops of hummus and guacamole. Her service was friendly. I went there with a friend and we used our $10 coupons for winning the Turkey Trot, along with a buy one-get one free offer. I love that they have good, fresh veggies for toppings. Especially the sprouts - nice touch! I got spicy mustard, tuna salad, and then all of the veggies on wheat. I ate half for lunch one day, and the other half the next. My fiance really enjoyed his sub too. We moved here from Florida and Publix subs were enjoyed poolside all Summer. The staff gave me time to look over my options and when I was ready, the sandwich took no time to make. It was very fresh and light. They have healthy options too, like wheat bread. It's a very simple, down to earth place, like somewhere to stop by for lunch. I didn't dine it, so I can't speak to the dine in experience. But I did see a few people sitting inside & there is plenty of seating room. This excellent vegan option comes complete with hummus, avocado, sprouts, olives, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and honestly I don't even remember what else because there was so much going on. For the crowning jewel, add their "nada chicken" patty for some meatless protein. It has a nice crispy edge and fairly neutral taste, which makes it a good pairing with any sort of sauce or toppings. Definitely opt in for oregano, salt, and pepper to give it an extra flavor boost. Note that it doesn't keep very well and it's bit messy to eat even the first time around, which is absolutely perfect. We were very happy to com here instead, they had great outdoor seating but also plenty of space indoords to escape the heat. The casual feel was perfect for a quick lunch. The sandwiches were not particularly inventive but they were quite delicious. I appreciated the addition of jalapenos to my tuna sandwich, gave it just the right amount of bite. Size-wise they were a pretty good size and overall good value. They definitely get my recommendation, especially for the very friendly staff. This is my favorite store thanks to Ernie, who's been with Thundercloud since before I discovered them. He's always smiling, very friendly, remembers my name, and makes me feel at home. Ernie's sandwiches are so pristine and perfect that I always have to buy 2 of them when he works so I can save one for later. With any other staff I'll just buy 1, but since I get quality perfection from The Guru himself I'll opt to load up and save one for later. I always ask for extra onions and lettuce and Ernie obliges with just the right amount. Not too much or too little. I love Thundercloud and used to go fairly often when I lived in Austin. There's so many locations and it's definitely a step up from the typical subway sandwich. I get the California club and always love it but I suggest asking for light avocado because it was literally dripping out of my sandwich the entire time, still great but definitely a little much. I typically order online so I can easily skip the line and they keep online orders refrigerated until pickup so you don't have to worry about your sandwich getting soggy.
