This food truck is located in the back courtyard area of the Belgian pub, Morte Subite. Outside of Spain, I haven't had truly authentic Spanish food since I lived in Pittsburgh. Yep, that's right! I digress. The food is smack you in the face delicious! Literally love everything on the menu from the omelette to beef Bombas, ham croquettes, and the charcuterie plate. Fresh, imported ingredients that bring travel memories back as though we're actually back in Spain. The chicken croquettes are to do for. So since they're located at a Belgian establishment, they also serve authentic fare from Belgium. The Flemish frites are spot on! Served with a homemade andalouse sauce that sends the tastebuds into orbit. I can't give them enough stars!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Excellent authentic Spanish food and lovely collaboration for indoor seating and drinks![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had the seafood paella, patatas bravas and green salad. ¡Sobresaliente!

Tortilla española, pan con tomate, and jamón croquetas. Glass of sherry and some white wine to boot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]10/10 for food, service and ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Outstanding beer selection at the bar with plenty of other options if that's not your thing. The bartender was attentive and at my request gladly offered some recommendations for live music in the area. I came in for the tapas from Austhentico and they were perfect: Jamón croquetas and tortilla española like they're made in Spain. I'm here 4 nights and I'll be back to try more because I can never find the real deal. And this is it. Muchisimas gracias!!

I'm a big fan of Tortilla Española, and the one here is just as good as I remember from when I was in Spain! I HIGHLY recommend the Mussels and Fries. Whatever oil they used to fry them in was so tasty. Super oily but with amazing flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although the place is a food truck, it's located right next to a pub where you can take your food in and eat with air conditioning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is super quick and friendly too. Will be back!

If you enjoy tapas, run..don't walk to this food truck. The food here is incredible. The truck is located behind Mort Subite (A Belgian Bar) off of Congress & 4th Street. You can walk through the bar or also park in the back alley if you'd like to get take out without having to park on the busy main street. You're able to order your food at eat it on the patio or inside the bar, which is nice on a hot day. Back to the aforementioned food, the aioli for the patatas bravas is delicious. The potatoes themselves were cut to the perfect portion and fried to the perfect level of crispiness. The jamon croquettes were creamy and exquisite. The taste of the bocadillo de jamon was delectable and the bombas were great with the sauce. I want to return and try the paella. For some reason, Spanish restaurants don't tend to stick around too long in Austin which is a shame because it's one of my favorite cuisines. So please go see for yourself how amazing the food is here!

Austhentico needs more hype! My best friend studied abroad in Europe and said she was really craving patatas bravas, which is a really popular breakfast item in Spain. This food truck is pretty hidden, and it's also connected to a bar but you'd have no idea there was this delicious food truck right behind the bar. I've passed by this area hundreds of times and had no idea Austhentico was here. The patatas bravas were SO good. It was my first time trying it, but my friend said it was really authentic and brought back a lot of nostalgia. I love how it looks dense but it's actually quite light, and the sauce it comes with is delicious. We also ordered mussels and frites because the chef recommended it, and it was so good! I thought the pricing was really fair for how many mussels you get. I'm not even normally a mussel fan, but they cooked it really well and it's seasoned lightly as well. The fries were the star of the show. I have no idea what oil they use to fry the fries, but my friend and I couldn't stop raving about them. They're so nice and deserve all the business. Please come give them a visit!

If you want authentic Spanish tapas then come here. I've been here several times and it always so delicious and consistent! My favorites are the croquettes, Spanish tortilla and the beef bombas. Chef Luis is amazing and so nice! I would give more stars if I could. 100/10!!

A solid 5/5. I cannot rave about this place enough. It was quite the drive for us to eat here but it was well worth it. I did place an order in advance as I've never been here before and wasn't sure if there was a wait. The food was ready upon our arrival. We definitely over ordered because everything on their menu looked so delicious and we wanted to try it all. No regrets. Just from eating the food, you can pretty much taste the passion that had went into preparing the meal. - Bombas - 5/5 - Flamenquin - 5/5 - Chicken Paella - 5/5 - Patatas Bravas - 4/5 - Tortilla Española - 5/5 Other bonus points for me: - I love their homemade aioli and salsa that came with the tapas - Amazing service! We decided to eat there as we didn't want the food to get cold on our drive home. They have a tented area with mist fans to keep diners cool in the heat. Chef Luis himself checked up on us a few times to make sure we had enough plates/utensils and to see how everything is tasting - They put a little flag of Spain in every dish. Super cute! - They are an eco-friendly business I can't wait to come back and try out the rest of their menu. Definitely going to be getting the bombas and flamenquin again though!

After reading previous reviews about Austhentico I really wanted to love it, but my group left disappointed. We ordered to-go food from this food truck on a late Thursday night and were met with spectacular service. The man in the truck was very kind and seemed excited to serve us, but unfortunately the food was just fine. We ordered the bombas, flamenquin, patatas bravas, chicken fideua, bocadillo de Spanish chorizo, and bocadillo de Pepito de Ternera. My main dish, the chicken fideua, had flavor but was extremely dry. I left wondering if it had been left to cook for too long. The flamenquin also had good flavor but was dry on the inside. The mashed potato and ground beef bombas were tasty and were complimented nicely by the homemade garlic aioli and salsa. The patatas bravas were my favorite dish by far -- they were perfectly crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. My friends that ordered the sandwiches said they also both had good flavor. The dishes are pretty fairly priced, with a meal for one person costing approximately $14. I do not recommend visiting this truck late at night, because the road to and from can be very dark and difficult to see. Overall, we found the food good but not great. Several dishes stood out, like the patatas bravas and bombas, but were not enough to keep me running back.

Tortilla Espanola - Spanish style omelette (eggs, potatoes, onions, olive oil) served with sourdough rye with tomato spread.

A little bit of Spain right here in South Austin! Chef is from Spain (Barcelona) and cooking up nothing but authentic tapas! We tried the flamenquin, bombas, tortilla española and flamenquin . It was all delicious!!! So fresh and filling. In true tapa fashion, we ordered 4 dishes for two people to share so we could get a sampling of different dishes. As I mentioned, we had the fried potato balls filled with ground beef "bombas", deep fried rolls with pork loin, ham and cheese "flamenquin", a Spanish style omelette served with sourdough rye with tomato spread "tortilla espanola & pa amb tomaquet", little potatoes "patatas bravas", and the BEST steak, caramelized onions and cheese sandwich ever!!! It's called the Pepito de Ternera!!! Highly recommend!! There are also plenty of noodle dishes, salads and grilled sandwiches for kids! Located next to the hive in the parking lot area of gas station (the zone). The chef also offers specialized catering for private events. Check out his Instagram and Facebook for more info about his journey. This is a great way to sample many traditional dishes! We will definitely be back for more!

I was lucky enough to live right across from it, which meant I got a 10% neighborhood discount and could casually stop by for a cocktail or bite without worrying about parking or wait times. This is the kind of restaurant that puts so much care into every cocktail and dish on the menu. I still remember walking my dogs in the morning and seeing the team already preparing something delicious in their outdoor smoker and grill, getting ready for the evening ahead. You can really feel that level of thoughtfulness in the final experience. Even though Emmer & Rye is known for its food, I'd say the cocktails alone are worth a stop at the bar. Each drink is unique, balanced, and beautifully done. Their pastas are some of the best in Austin, in my opinion--even better than many Italian restaurants. The cacio e pepe is perfectly silky, delicate, and rich without feeling too heavy. We love to try everyone so don't have to ask me twice! Standouts - Johnny Cakes with toasted egg foam. Delicious and decadent - not to be missed. The bread - everyone loved it. The butters and honey made on site using leftover cheese, yogurt and fruits (aka zero waste). All the pasta, but specifically the Cacio e Pepe - perfection. I could say something about everything but to suffice to say it was all wonderful!! Thanks for a great night!

Each year, my husband and I participate in Lent by giving up something meaningful, such as meat and…read moredesserts. Lent is a 40-day period of spiritual preparation for Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday (symbolizing the need for repentance) and ending before Easter. Its main goals are reflection, repentance, and renewal. After observing Lent, our treat was brunch at Ciclo (Four Seasons Hotel). Ciclo hosted Easter Brunch and an Easter Egg hunt including the hotel's lake-level ballroom. The celebration included live music and lawn activities for hotel and brunch guests. The brunch included a cold buffet, hot buffet, carving station, benedict station, and dessert buffet. You also could order customized omelets from your table. Ciclo's brunch features gluten-free and vegetarian choices. OMG...the Four Season's Hotel and Ciclo restaurant looked as though a lush bright flowered garden had been quietly grown there. Flowers spilled over every surface from the hotel's entrance to the Ciclo restaurant out onto the patio. The floral arrangements were stunning. They also served as a beautiful backdrop for photos. In addition, we ran into ole friends at brunch, which was a pleasant surprise. The standout for us was the lamb chops (one of my favorites) and callosal-sized shrimp. The sweet potatoes and ham were memorable as well with perfectly spiced sweet potatoes. All desserts were good today, however, the Oreo cheesecake and sugar cookies were the highlights. Our server was so attentive and pleasant. Also, Abribal, the restaurant manager, came over to inquire about dining experience. Such excellent service... Dining a Ciclo today was superb! It was fantastic end to our Lenton season.

Outstanding service provided by the staff. Denis was our tables primary attendant. He is super. He provides impeccable customer service which makes your experience even better. The garden backdrop to the restaurants decor is a perfect pairing. Our meals were excellent. We shared the Tomahawk in addition to our individual dishes. My salmon entree was really good. I'm calling it premium surf and turf. Great night with friends and dinner. Ciclo did not disappoint. Well done.

This restaurant was everything I could of asked for. Probably the best restaurant we tried in all of Austin. I'm from Los Angeles, and have been to many high end and hip restaurants, this was definitely up there with some of the best restaurants. Food: Crab tagliatelle is a must! This dish was delicious and everything you can ask for from a pasta. Gnocchi special with Peas and Asperagus is a must. This creamy and feather light dish was packed with so much flavour. Lobster scalloping was very good as well and so was the filet mignon. But best of all were the side of carrots, pear and endive salad and the Cho salad. My drink was the basil cocktail was was phenomenal. Everything was just so so very good. Our waitress Tiagna was an absolute delight in every way. Thank you so much!!!

I had a great view of everybody walking by the restaurant outside :) Our server was fantastic! He was super friendly and attentive. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and left a little after 10:00 p.m. The food was delicious. My man absolutely loved his seafood pasta dish! He doesn't even eat pasta but he scraped that plate dry. I highly recommend ordering family style for the table but make sure your whole party is on board with splitting the check evenly because the restaurant does not break up the check according to diners only split evenly, I believe up to four ways. Example: Our check was $822 (included gratuities) for seven people and we were only able to split evenly four ways. Roughly $118 each. It is what it is but I didn't even get a main course. Just a glass of wine, a half of a piece of bruschetta, some of the Caesar salad and a small portion of the gnocchi (all shared) I'm glad I got to experience Red Ash, but now that I've checked that off my list, I'm good.
