Took my kids to do duckpin bowling a few weeks ago and we had a great experience. They had a very helpful staff. Was surprised to find they had a full bar as well as food. The place was very busy yet they turned out drink orders and food orders very promptly. Looking forward to going back. read more

I see the other reviews. Maybe I shouldn't give a bad one. Or maybe I will just inform. I'm thinking that communication issues amongst staff was why my good planning was ruined on Sunday 25 Aug. I reserved 2 lanes 2 weeks before for 4p . I was told there was a fundraiser at 6pm. All good. I said we'd be out by 6pm. 2:45 - day of. Was informed that the person I spoke to didn't know the lanes were full for leagues. Did I want duckpin? Not really but ok. We close at 5. Forget it. At least i got a phone call. Oh well. Like I said, better communication with staff so they can be more effective when someone calls. I was going to review a few years back about a so called bowling camp that wasn't but I still paid. I moved on from that without reviewing. This, however, is unacceptable. I organized a get together for a group of people that I had to call back and say sorry to. Sorry, you're not bowling today. Sorry. I'm not planning anything there again. If you have a nice time once and the other 2 times are problems, then you don't risk another strike. read more

Nice bowling alley, but horrible food service/ customer service. My family enjoyed the bowling aspect of this experience but I can assure you I would not recommend eating there. We ordered a pizza and got treated extremely poorly when receiving pur order. Upon getting my food the cook went to hand me my tray of pizza, using plates to hold the hot pan, and dropped half of the pizza onto a table, directly in front of me. After telling him it obviously wasn't my fault, he agreed and walked over to speak with his co worker. The man then proceeds to completely ignore me and clean up his mess as I ask him a couple different times for a new pizza. About 2 minutes later the older person working calls me back over, to tell me that the same pizza I just saw upside down on a table, was to be the food I ate. This completely enraged me so before going ballistic on this employee my wife tried to talk to the kitchen about the incident (to atleast resolve it in some way) And the boy, along with the elderly man who were working back there told her I dropped the pizza, was lying to her, and would need to buy a new pizza if I "wanted anything from them". This was by far one of the worst experiences I or my wife have ever had, as a paying customer. I am astounded by the disrespectful attitude of these two people. Seriously if this kitchen attempted to feed me something they dropped in front of me, just imagine what they do behind the closed doors!!!!!! This place would make much more money if they fired the kitchen and hired some new workers. read more

I almost don't want to tell people how great this place is. We were driving through on a Sunday evening and stopped in for a few games. They have 10 pin and duckpin. The service was great, facilities are clean and cheerful, all the lanes are operational, and it was only $20 including shoe rentals. Will definitely be back. read more

I stopped by when we were in the area just out of curiosity. I had read the bowling alley, in addition to Tenpin and Duckpin lanes had a great Grille and Bar. The review I saw said the meatloaf was great. My wife, myself and a friend decided to go check it out even though none of us had bowled in years. When we arrived about 10am, there were several senior teams bowling. The young lady running the desk greeted us and assigned us a lane and gave us rental shoes. She also endorsed the meatloaf and said it used to be a special but was so popular they now serve it every day. We bowled a game then broke for lunch. Two of us got the meatloaf and one got the soup special. Everything we ordered was fresh and hot, the mashed potatoes were real potatoes and the green beans were excellent as they obviously were cooked with a ham hock or bacon. The meatloaf lived up to it's reputation, my wife said her soup was homemade and very good. We bowled another game after lunch then had ice cream for dessert. In addition they have a small separate room that serves as a bar, draft beer and drinks are served there. They also have KENO. The grille seems to have a regular lunchtime crowd and I saw some mechanics from the local Ford Dealer having lunch. All the food I observed had an adequate portion and people seemed to be enjoying it. They also have a Drive-Thru window. I highly recommend this bowling alley as well as the excellent grille so give it a try, you won't be sorry. read more

We came here for a friends birthday party which was a good experience. We had our child's party here this past January. Good experience. However this past weekend we were there for another friends birthday party and didn't have the best experience. I'm very understanding that right now in our society, everyone is short handed/understaffed. I have no probably being patient cause things take a little longer. However there are 2 people running the "restaurant/bar area". I ordered food and they said they'd bring it out. I came up 20 minutes later to ask about my food and she asked if i had a receipt. She checked with the other lady and apparently my food was never even made. She said she'd make it right now and bring it out. Totally fine. After tho, my friend went up and ordered wings. Same thing, they'd bring it out, totally fine. But not only did she not get her food, when she went up to the counter, they lady said her food had been taken out. But my friend never received her food AND they wouldn't refund her cause her food was "delivered". Mind you, we were literally sitting right in front of the restaurant part, RIGHT IN FRONT! She never got her food nor did she get a refund which was bullshit and not right. Also, both parties and my child's party had multiple times where the lanes weren't working. Like it doesn't matter if your lanes don't work or not, you only get 2 hours for a party so you constantly lose time which isn't fair to the kids plus you don't get the time you paid for. Kinda sucky. Front desk people are pretty nice and helpful. The kitchen part, everyone's pretty rude or irritated. read more

Best Duckpins Lanes ever. You can even reserve a lane of each (ducks & tens) next to each other to make everyone happy. The kids love the fresh pizza, & grilled cheeses w/ hot french fries + birch beer (& cherry coke!) On tap. :-D The subs & sandwiches are much tastier than any "Bowling Alley" fare in my memory. They are friendly and helpful, especially w/ kids! They keep the bathrooms clean, & are quick to restock whenever needed. We have had many Happy Birthdays memories here over the past couple decades. Appeals to all ages( we always have a WIDE age range!) Boys & girls both think it's cool, & they have plenty of room to move around. The Games Room is another fun area, the older kids can escape the rugrats chatter for a bit. =-O Party packages are a good value. All I had to do was send the invites,then show up with the cake(s)! They really do a great job, AND they take care of the setup + CLEAN UP. O:-) Regardless of the weather, summer birthdays, rain or shine, we always have a blast. & i don't have to clean MY house before OR after!! Even the adults seem to have fun, something about knocking down pins!! Plenty of parking, & even a "roundabout" that always amuses the out-of-town relatives. ;-) read more

While my children had a great time there, the machines damaged the ball of my Down Syndrome child. She was quite upset as this ball was a Christmas gift. When I called and inquired as to the repair or replacement for the ball, I was told they did not cover damage to a plastic ball. When I asked how is a child, let alone one with Down Syndrome would know that, they referenced a sign. None of the children in the group recalled any sign or notice. When I went up there to speak to a manager and ask about the sign, the staff told me the manager was not in, and then they looked for the sign. After 5 minutes they found the sign. It was over by the restrooms, not by the desk when you pay for lanes, and nowhere near the lane the girls were bowling at. I am very disappointed in the attitude of Thunderhead, the obscure placement of plastic ball policy sign, and the refusal to do anything about the ball. A disabled girl who has used that ball at over 5 different alleys for over half a year (without so much as a scratch) will now have to wait until I can get a new ball for her and have it drilled. I will not allow anyone in my family to go to Thunderhead bowl in the future due to the attitude and shifty placement of a policy sign. This policy should be clearly posted and easy to see as well as explained Especially to children, as you are renting your lane, shoes etc. I am very disappointed in Thunderhead. read more
