She was able to accommodate me on short notice, which was much appreciated. For context, I was admitted to the hospital for a long-term stay (about 4 weeks or until delivery) following a prenatal check-up and was not prepared at all. Thuy was able to do all the services in my hospital room. She treated me with such kindness and was so gentle. She took her time and made sure I was perfectly comfortable and relaxed throughout each of the services. Her attention to detail is impeccable. I sent Thuy a text after reading her amazing Yelp reviews because we are in the middle of a pandemic and I no longer recognize my own hands and feet. My nail salon bar is very high and hosting Thuy is just like visiting a 5 star nail salon. Heated water from her electric kettle, warm towels, exfoliating scrub, hot stone massage and all the fancy nail polish brands. She brings about 100 colors! Thuy arrived about 15 minutes early to set up and then had a quick clean up time so allow about 90 minutes for a regular mani pedi visit. Thuy has gone to my home twice now to do my gel mani and pedi. She also does my 4 year old's nails free of charge. I text her to make my appts and she gets back to me promptly. When she comes over, she uses all her own equipment. I sit on my recliner while she does her magic work on me. She takes off her shoes and covers my furniture. I always offer her food and beverages but she always politely declines. Thuy is really careful, nice, and very professional. Her work is top notch and she is a total perfectionist and I am so happy with her. Even with my little one, she uses a basecoat, 2 coats of polish, and top coat. For kids, its usually one coat of polish and thats it. No, Thuy takes her time with my daughter's nails all the same. Yes you should contact her but dont get in on my time with her lol! This review is strictly based on the appointment booking process as Thuy stopped responding and services were never provided. I'm hospitalized long term due to pregnancy complications and am in dire need of a gel mani and regular pedi. It's been a month since my last service at a salon. My gel polish has grown out significantly and I have one cracked nail. Doctors anticipate another 2 more months till I deliver my baby so I desperately needed someone who could come directly to me. I found Thuy while searching on Yelp. She had great reviews so I decided to text her. Thuy said she was able to come to me for the services I needed but she only takes cash. I told her I would reply to schedule when I was able to get the cash since I couldn't leave the hospital. It took a few days before I replied because my husband works during the weekdays and I had to wait till he came back to visit at the end of the week. I texted her on Thursday, asking if she was available the following day. She responded no because she was out of town but can come on Saturday instead. I had been waiting for a while so one extra day wouldn't hurt. I agreed and asked what time so I could plan my day around it. She told me she would get back to me about it. I still hadn't heard from Thuy by that Saturday morning so I texted her back asking what time can she come. I texted her again 5 hours later because i still didn't get a response. Thuy never replied. Needless to say, nothing ever came out of it. The least she could do was respond if she couldn't provide the services. This was unprofessional and frustrating when you're someone who is confined to a hospital. read more

I did not want to go to a salon, there are too many people in them She was prompt, polite, ready, she bought all her supplies, she was so organized and considerate of my home space, patient, and sociable. OMG I can't say enough about Thuy. When I first went to Thuy (at Ele Ela Salon) my nails were so tortured from years of biting and lack of care. I have mutant level cuticles but Thuy doesn't balk. She uses her master skills to get my nail beds and cuticles in to shape. She spends more time doing my nails then any other person ever has. Most salons and technicians do a rush job and want you in and out. Thuy is a perfectionist and DOESN'T believe in rush jobs. Now that she's independent, it's even better. Thuy was incredible! I texted her to see if she could come all the way out to the VA hospital in the Richmond to give my dad a pedicure in his hospital bed and she was able to come by that day. My dad has never had a pedicure in his life and was uneasy about the idea, but he hadn't clipped his toenails in literally years due to a physical disability and he knew he needed one. In these times of covid-19, I find it hard to understand why anyone would go to a nail salon when for about the same price they can have lovely, caring Thuy come to their home. Earlier this week I looked at my fav nail salon which has reopened. While I respect the precautions, plastic screens between you and manicurist and fewer people in the salon, the bottom line is that Covid travels through the air. Are salons properly ventilated and filtered, I don't believe they are. A plastic screen won't block a virus that is airborn and can just float over the screen. With Thuy, she set up in my backyard (with wind blowing) and managed to make the experience better than in a spa. (she just needs an electric outlet for her warm water) Thuy was meticulous and gentle. First mani pedi since February. Maybe best ever! read more

I decided to try Thuy after a recent medical procedure that left me unable to travel to a nail salon for six weeks. I got a gel mani and pedi at home.
