First time coming here, I was the first appointment of the day on December 20th at 10am. I called the day before for a mani pedi. I got Gel extensions and initially I loved my set. However on NYE I noticed a little greenish tint in the corner of my thumbnail. I assumed it was a stain and tried to wash it off but by the next morning it became darker and started to spread. I immediately booked another appointment (with my salon I normally go to because I was paranoid). I was told that it was mold growth likely due to improper nail prep and somehow moisture had been caught between the adhesive and the extension. There wasn't any lifting so that was good, but I'm definitely second guessing how careful the nail techs were (I had two different workers switch in the middle of my appointment). I wasn't paying attention half the time since I was trying to do work on my phone, so maybe I could've caught it and said something. But I get my nails done every 3 weeks for the past 4 years and this has never happened before. read more

I have been coming here for the last 2 years, mainly for gel mani and regular pedi. I love that I get a Diet Coke every time, it just makes me happy haha. But what makes me happiest is the quality of the manicure - how long it lasts, pretty much chip free. I have strong nails and can make their manicures last sooo long if I don't care about the growth. They weren't open the day I needed an urgent mani and I went somewhere else and my nails chipped by 2 weeks. Maybe that's normal, but i went to Nali for my next manicure and as you'll see in the photo, there's growth, but they've lasted 5 WEEKS!! Solidifies again I'm planning better and not going anywhere else! I've never had a problem with my resy being taken but I usually call right before I come and do later evening on weekdays. read more

I really want to like this place but there have been multiple times I've come in at my scheduled appointment time and they have taken walk in's and have not had time to offer the full service I've booked. Today, I made a 9:30am appointment for hard gel manicure and pedicure. They did the pedicure but took a walk in manicure vs prioritizing my manicure. They finally wanted to start on my manicure 50 minutes later and I had to decline due to a work commitment. Life is too busy and we have limited time. The fact that they don't respect or value their customers time is disappointing. Not to mention, their prices have gone up drastically and doesn't match the quality of their service. I'll look for service elsewhere in the future. read more

Really wanted to like this place. But for $37 I was cut and gaslit. I called ahead to come in for a pedicure and they had availability. The one nice part is they have a free drink menu and that was a nice a treat. But the lady cut too far on my big toe and I said "ow" and she told me it was skin and I have a lot of skin. I was offended by that comment. Cutting dead skin/cuticles should not hurt. Later when she finished cutting, she wiped my toe nails with alcohol and my big toe was burning so I told her I was cut, and she told me "no." I got the pedicure at 1pm today, it's now 8pm and my big toe still hurts really bad and is super tender. read more

It's about time I make a review.. I've been seeing Nancy for a year now and she never disappoints! She always does my nails beautifully and she knows exactly what I want without me explaining it. I have sensitive nails so anything that pokes my skin will hurt me but with Nancy she's always careful and considerate. I always get acrylic fill and it would last me a good 3 weeks or even more than a month if taken care carefully. There was a time one of my charms fell off my nail couple days after I got it done, she told me to come in so she can get it fixed, not only she did it quickly and efficiently she did not charge me! 10/10 customer service! I used to work nearby so that's why I've been coming but since with the new job I'm quite farther but I will always make a trip to see her! so thank you again Nancy! Walk-ins are welcome, I prefer to always call ahead to get Nancy or I will wait until she's available. I don't get my nails done often, but I know when I am in good hands at a nail salon. They brought me a drink menu once I arrived (who does that?), which mainly included canned soda, so my conscience told me to select water. There were only 2 customers during my service, so someone handled my nails while another did my toes. Efficiency is key!! My nails came out pretty nice by the way, and lasted longer than my past services. I didn't feel rushed at all, as they told me to sit as long as I wish to ensure my nails were dried before I put my sneakers back on. FYI it was freezing out so I am not walking around with flip flops. read more

I love that Nali is in my neighborhood and so convenient for me - plus, they always have availability especially if you make an appointment ahead of time. I go in most often for gel removal and a normal gel mani. I've been helped by many different nail techs and the quality is great every single time, from cuticle/nail care to application. The gel also lasts a long time and doesn't chip easily. There aren't many groundbreaking designs the newest types of polish from Japan/Korea, but if you need a manicure that looks good and works for the day-to-day, Nali is excellent. They have also started offering Japanese jelly gel nails in a limited shade range and cat eye colors. Price is reasonable (around $55 for a gel manicure and removal) and it's quick and efficient. First time here and I got a gel manicure on my natural nails plus three gel extensions on three broken nails. For transparency, it is $41 for a gel manicure with removal ($36 if you come in with bare nails), $15 for ombré, and $7 for the gel extensions. My total came out to be $63, which is not the cheapest but not a bad price either. You can get a loyalty stamp card and get a stamp for each cash payment of $30. Had 3 people do my nails, Haly (the worst, every single nail had bubbles, could see unfiled cuticle under the polish, dust in half the nails, flooded cuticle, had polish all the way on my wrist homehow), next i think was Nancy (didn't even try to prep my nails again after wiping off Haly's work which resulted in them looking bad again, had her wipe it off), then Jennie (the owner of the salon) did the nails in the attached photos. I chose this salon because their gel-x looked nice so i figured they could simply paint my nails with polish but i guess not. the prep they do for nails is awful, i couldn't see my toes the whole time because they had a giant pillow and towel on my lap, couldn't rest my arms or wrists the whole time because i had to hold them up to the left for them to reach my nails. my toes are lumpy which could have been solved with a simple file and buffer. nothing about my nails looks "professional." To keep it going, the two ladies who did my nails and toes at first didn't speak much english but were trying to tell me where to move my feet legs and hands by tapping me, pushing my feet and legs, and looking at me. Towards the end Haly was being rough with my legs. Because I kept having them wipe off the ugly polish everyone was staring and at one point when Jennie was doing my nails there were 3 or 4 people standing around me looking at my nails. This is not a professional nail salon and I recommend nobody come here, you're better off buying a buffer, file, and some cheap quick dry polish from walgreens. Jennie did make attempts to reconcile and let me know she doesn't accept any low quality work in her salon but then because they were closing she had me pay before she finished the service and once she was done she sprayed my nails with something to make them dry which didn't work at all and sent me out with these horrendous nails. Nali's Nails & Spa definitely left me feeling very conflicted. Upon entering I had requested a shellac manicure which costs $36 before tip. Everyone in the salon is very sweet and nice, taking their time to greet you, give you a menu of colors to choose from as well as a drink menu with varying sodas and kerns juices you can choose from to drink for free. The women doing my nails also had a nice conversation with me and gave me a lovely massage. This review is solely for how my manicure turned out, which sadly was quite bad. As you can see in the picture attached, my cuticles were cut too far causing many hangnails and one of my fingers even swole up and got a bit infected, causing me to use Neosporin and ice to reduce the swelling. In addition, the shellac manicure itself was easily scuffed, and the coat of polish was lifting from the base of my nails causing my hair to get caught in them when I wash my hair and shampoo in the shower. Lastly, the nails themselves were painted quite lower than the cuticle so in a matter of days they became very separated. All in all, the customer service is great, however the manicures do not last and are not the best quality. read more

My friend and I were looking for a spot to get our nails done after happy hour on Fillmore street. A couple days earlier, I saw this place was open until 7:30 pm and called to book our appointments. We got in easily and found the spot after some bite. You walk in and notice it's definitely a no-frills place, but seem clean and efficient. I felt a little rushed to pick my nail colors, but I'm pretty indecisive so that's understandable. Once you pick your color and they hand you a beverage menu to enjoy during your visit, which was a nice touch. I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure. Surprisingly, my pedicure is very long lasting, but manicure didn't last too long. There were parts where the nail tech painted over my cuticles which started to peel off within a couple days! If you need to get your nails in and get out, this is a good spot for that but if you're looking for a high quality and relaxing experience look elsewhere. read more

I love coming here for gel manicures because it's hassle free and for the most part clean. The staff is always speaking amongst themselves and don't try to bother you. And it's efficient when you get a mani pedi they usually have 2 technicians working on you on the pedi chair. Look at the difference in thumb nail length - no other words needed. I truly have not had a worse experience at a nail salon. I made an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes before anyone was available. The nail tech, Amy, was extremely rough with pushing back my nail beds and filing, she actually drew blood on one finger. She had little attention to detail- my nails have unclean edges, and I had a bandaid on one finger from a cut which she ignored as she worked on my hands. The entire manicure was not only extremely rushed but it was painful to sit through. The stations and equipment also felt extremely dirty and unsanitary. I used to really like this place however my last visit was so terrible I never wanna go there again. I asked them to fix my nail which had broken before and they ended up giving me a whole manicure which i specifically stated that I didn't need because I just got one the day before. The person doing my nail filed my nail so hard my nail bed was hurting and when I expressed my concerned she simply ignored that on top of that the nails I asked to be fixed broke in less than a week along with my other natural nails which she had filed so much they became very weak. Pros: - they usually try to fit you in even if you don't have an appointment - it's close to my house so it's super convenient - the prices are reasonable - they always do a clean job and when I've gotten a pedicure and forgotten sandals, the owner has wrapped my toes in Saran Wrap. Last year my daughter wanted a special 7th birthday where we hang out with her cousins in Japantown. Our first stop was this nail salon. I called a few days before and they were able to take us around opening time. It was a party of 9 (adults and kids), and the cool thing is that they actually have 10 massage chairs for pedicures. They had a good number of nail technicians working that day and they were fast and efficient. I was really impressed with their work. One of the owners even painted flowers on a few of my daughter's fingers and her toes. It was done well and just a nice bonus for her. All the little girls and even the adults were so happy for the pampering and just really enjoyed themselves. I would definitely come back here with a group or even by myself. I am updating my review & rating following my experience last weekend. The owner Jennie responded almost immediately to my concern. She broke down the cost for my pedicure +extra time spent on my ingrown toenails, which makes sense. Jennie offered and quickly refunded me $10 accidentally overcharged for my daughter's pedicure, as they thought she was older so charged the adult price. Jennie was very apologetic. Good customer service on their end. I will definitely return especially for Amy who is a nail guru. I look forward to more positive experiences. read more
