We should have known... there was very little meat in our pho. The flavor and consistency was fine but very little meat and fewer veggies than other pho places put in their phos. Finally made it into this new Pho restaurant in West Olympia. Ate in, had a large bowl of Pho. It was outstanding--very flavorful, and huge portion. More than I could eat, really. The broth was delicious, plenty of meat and noodles, and lots of great fresh stuff to add (sprouts, jalapenos, lime, etc.) Just excellent. I expect this to be my new go to place for Pho in Olympia and look forward to trying lots of other menu items. The price was great for the amount of food. Indeed, everything looks reasonably priced. The staff were also super friendly and eager to make sure everything was alright, which it was. And finally, being new the place is spanking clean. Lots of easy parking too. read more

This place is a hole in a wall by big 5. Staff was nice, everything looks clean. We ordered spring rolls, fresh rolls, beef pho, caramel pork banh mi and added the fries. The spring rolls are great 6.50 for 3 kinda pricey but it could be a post covid thing??? Fresh rolls were supposed to have shrimp and pork but we couldn't find any pork. The pho has a wonderful flavor and the flavor of the caramel pork is good....... I think it was kinda hard to tell there was very little meat and adding the fries for 3.95 wasn't worth it. Small portion to the price. Would I come back again.... For the spring rolls or to pick up some pho but for everything else probably not. read more

I loved going to Thuy's when visiting area friends. Then friends moved, Covid blew in to interrupt our lives. But I have been wishing to go to her place once I get back to my more usual rounds. I'm not form this state. I'm from the Bay Area in CA. That being said, I do eat ALOT of Asian food by choice. Vietnamese is my fav. Thank god I found somewhere to get good food like this being this seems to me to be a very homogenous city. I got spring rolls and vermicelli chicken. I also ordered a viet coffee and I suggest u try the same. The cilantro and veggies were fresh, the chicken was cruelly cooked crab and cooked correctly. Most people don't notice this but I do for sure. The server checked back after serving food to see if everything was ok. (This should always be expected) good :) Improvements? Yes: when making the fish sauce, I suggest using fresh ginger and asking if the customer wants it viet strong or American weak. I chose viet always. The viet coffee should be mixed in the kitchen. It was messy when I had to make it myself at the table. Nice people. All u people that live here should think about this: If most Vietnamese are thin and eat this food, maybe they're into something? Love this food! Always room for improvement and I wanted to mention it so they can improve. :) I recommends this place. read more

Thuys definitely has the best pho that my wife and I have had. We've been to a ton of Vietnamese restaurants in the surrounding area and nothing tops the flavor that thuys has. Great meat portions as well. I especially like the tendon and brisket pho and Bahn mi's. They're amazing people and are very kind and accommodating. read more

Having been to Vietnam and living in the Seattle wa area. The price, the amount of noodles, and meat is very little. For the regular size, there is literally one meat ball, one beef brisket and one tendon. The broth was okay but not worth it for the price and amount of food. I've been eating pho since I was a little kid (27 now). I'm really surprised by some of the reviews on here. Maybe it was a bad day? When I went with my family, we were impressed with how flavorful the broth was, & the brisket was tasty. (Normally I don't really like most pho meat). We split one of the Vietnamese sandwiches that has the egg, ham, etc in it. I was shocked at how good it was. Never had a Vietnamese sandwich like that before. I'll definitely be coming back to try their other stuff. Some people on here complained about the portion sizes. It's actually really not that bad. The soup to noodle ratio is slightly different than the average pho place. There was a little less broth than usual, but it wasn't bad at all. My husband and I split our sandwich & large bowl of pho, & we left feeling very full. Overall, service was great, they continuously made sure our glasses were full, & place was clean. Prices are not bad. Maybe like a dollar more than usual. Also, if you have ever had pho from basil leaf, their broths are similar. read more

First time visit on a Sunday afternoon..place was empty but I'm glad we didnt leave..waiter came right away , I ordered meatball and brisket pho..it was excellent...my gf ordered chicken fried rice and she loved it..I tried hers and it was best I've ever had.. also ordered spring roll with peanut sauce and the sauce was so good compared to most places..they know how to cook here..im craving the chicken fried rice two days later...we will be back. read more

Our second and third times since our first visit has been just as excellent. Great food. Lots of great broth (we always have a bit extra, very happy about that). There's a lot to try on their menu. You won't be disappointed. The staff is amazing and fast. You'll get just the right amount of food so you'll be full, have a little left over and be very happy with your dining choice. Also, I have a very touchy tummy and everything her as made my tummy very happy. The prices are reasonable. The last time we were here I got bubble tea with boba. So wonderful. Came for a soft opening with wifey, service was great and fast. Environment is clean and bright over all feel inviting. Pho broth was okay, little meat with 3 slices meatball and kinda stingy on noodles. Come on now, noodles is 10lb for $7 at cash&carrie. Since they asked for my feedback so I gave them 2cents. Yeah..... I was super excited to try this place out, we sat down looked over our menu. I ordered the crab wontons, not much flavor and they give you two dipping sauces,one being ranch weird! Then I wanted to try the fresh rolls dipping sauce sweet coconut not much of a peanut sauce. Inside of roll not much filling or meat for 5.99 I would hope better. The pho really bad! The broth is the most important part of pho, they clearly messed that up, watery no flavor no oil guessing no bones were used while making the broth? Hand down, this place have the best best pho broth. My fiancé said no Vietnamese restaurant pho broth can compare to Thuy's Pho. Great flavor, not bland like other restaurant and the soup is always hot. You must try!! My other favorites are their roasted pork belly-- you can taste and feel the crispiest and caramelize pork banh mi, they are so good and flavorful, this place add fried crispy shallots inside their banh mi. I have been waiting for a convenient Vietnamese restaurant near my work, and Thuy's is awesome! I order to-go here 1-2 times a week. Everything I have tried is delicious, but I highly recommend the vermicelli noodles with spring rolls, the two pigs banh mi, and the green bean fries. They are extremely friendly, and careful to maintain health practices in this challenging time. I can't wait until I can actually sit inside for a meal. Thank you for the awesome lunches! read more

Husband and I decided to try food for the soft opening. I ordered bun bo hue & he ordered special food. The pho was good however the bun bo hue was bland. We are always on the lookout for new Vietnamese choices and excited to see a new place with unusual options. This was our first visit. We started with two different kinds of fresh rolls and both were good. The had a nice ratio of meat, veggies and noodles. I especially appreciated that they were not overstuffed with noodles like so many places. Next up was oxtail Pho and beef stew. The stew was good, not spectacular but good. The broth hav a nice vegetable flavor but lacked the meaty flavor that I was hoping for. The oxtail Pho was a total letdown. If I was to rate this on the Pho alone, it would be 1 star at best. The broth was extremely plain and even adding a fair portion of sriracha couldn't save it enough to want to finish eating it. Less critical but not great, the oxtail needed to be cooked more to get the the delicious fall off the bone tenderness that I expect. And again, under seasoned. I really hope that this place can improve the broth and the seasoning because it's great to have more choices. read more

I'm visiting Olympia from California and I was so delighted to find a place that offers vegan Pho. Not only was the pho I ordered vegan, but it was also delicious. The veggies were all fresh and crisp and there was a lot of basil and sprouts included as well. The flavorful tofu was lightly browned on the outside and soft on the inside. The sriracha along with the sliced jalapeños added just a little extra kick. The people working there were so sweet. I will definitely come back to Thuy's Pho next time I am in Olympia. read more

The service was good and server was good, but the food was not that good. Bahn Mi sandwich had almost no sauce and very little meet so was kind of dry with mostly bread. The fresh spring rolls didn't have much flavor either lacking mint and other stuff that usually makes them taste good. read more
