    Gyros Plate

I went into this place not knowing what to expect and I was immediately blown away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is incredible. All the lamps are gorgeous and the seating is comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is amazing and the service is top tier! I will take any excuse to support a local, immigrant owned restaurant, and hands down this is a place I will frequent every visit!

I ordered a gyro not a grilled burrito gyro should have fresh cucumber, tomato, lettuce, onion, not wilted, warm nasty goo. I was very disappointed. Also ordered baba ghanoush for my side. I was given no pita or anything to dip it in had to pay extra for that and tzatziki, which should come with a gyro not impressed.

The food is just simply delicious and the portions are GENEROUS! For the price you pay (which would seem pricey) you get almost a whole days worth of food! Please let me emphasize on how fresh everything is, including the rice. This is important because I've tried places where the rice taste straight out of a box or bag? You can tell how fresh and homemade they make their stuff. The way this works is you go straight to registers where you'll find the menu on the wall. When ready to order you walk up to register, pay then sit yourself down anywhere you like. Now back to the food-We're regulars and usually get the chicken shawarma meal with rice, Greek salad and cucumber sauce. Please don't skip the cucumber sauce! It's what brings these dishes to life!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space is gorgeous, wide open and more than plenty for large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Birthdays would be perfect here. I don't always feel the friendly vibes from the young man at the register. No smile, no spark, no genuine friendliness but honestly I'm here for the food. As long as the chef is doing its wonderful job, I'll continue returning, although it's nice to see the sweet friendly smile from the young lady instead

Absolutely delicious food. My husband and I split the mixed grilled meat plate with two sides, hummus and Greek salad. And baclava (sp?) for dessert. The beef was so tender and savory, great flavor on the chicken without it being dry, and beef/lamb ground together (I don't remember it's called) was also very good. Loved the baclava, too. The friendly cashier who took our order was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food came out quickly and hot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very clean and beautifully decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms were also very nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The plate that was meant for one fed us both very nicely. If you're super hungry, though, don't share but you'll be stuffed. We will be back and definitely recommend this restaurant

Gyros Plate with Baba Ganoush and Greek salad. Delish!! We love the dolmas also bought in the grocery store attached.

This is my husband and my favorite date spot as the food is delicious and the ambiance is perfect for a conversation. The chicken shawarma plate with the baba ganoush and salad is my favorite. My kids love the gyros and the hummus and baklava are also very good. The homemade spicy pickled vegetables side are also one of my favorites. What makes this restaurant is the family that owns and works here. They are lovely and always take amazing care of us.

So glad we found and tried this Mediterranean restaurant in Tyler TX. We love Mediterranean food but very limited choices in NE TX. Beautiful decorations and very clean. Every dish we tried was delicious and their dessert choices were many! Definitely recommend trying this restaurant. They also have a market areas with lots of choices not found at typical grocery stores.

So many great reviews. I was super excited. BAD: Normally, shawarma flavor is so rich and flavorful. Unfortunately, this location's was very bland and the rice flavoring over took the meat flavoring. It tasted more like a beef fajita from a Mexican restaurant than any Shawarma flavored meat I've had before. And the portion size was less than desirable for the price. GOOD: Rice was great. Hummus was traditional and very tasty. Salad/dressing was also flavorful. BIAS: Growing up in Houston, I've been fortunate to have some really fabulous Mediterranean food. I will def come back to try this place again, because I'd like the try to a bigger salad with some gyro meat or a gyro sandwich. (True test is always in the gyros.)

Decent food, but very disappointed with falafel plate portion size. I got the falafel plate with a salad and hummus. It had one dinner spoon serving side of hummus. Salad was normal side salad size. It didn't come with rice, though it appeared to come with it on the menu on the wall. Other guests seemed to have normal plate sizes, but mine was more like a snack. I wish I had photographed the food. If I come back, it will be for the shawarma or something else. Service was okay I guess.

We were in Tyler and looking for a good meal. I honestly did not expect to find such delicious and flavorful Mediterranean food! I highly recommend this restaurant, and I would definitely eat there again. First, it's a really cool ambiance, with a mix of East Texas farmhouse featuring rough cut boards and exposed brick, and Middle Eastern chandeliers and calming music. The lighting from high windows and a high ceiling is beautiful. Very nice ambiance. Ordering at the counter was quick and easy. Then the food was brought out to the table. We ordered: Chicken Shawarma Plate: a good portion and enjoyed yet the onions and tomatoes mixed in. Lamb Kabob Plate: delicious lamb, and cooked just right, I would say a perfect medium well. Simple seasoning and not charred. Very very good. Then recommend all the sides: Greek salad: very nice cream dressing Hummus Baba Ghanoush Mix Pickles: good compliment to the overall flavors and especially the lamb Overall, outstanding experience, very friendly and helpful staff, and I would definitely recommend.

I was totally shocked at how good the food was. I ordered the chicken shawarma and was delighted by the portion size and the flavor. Truly amazing. The Greek side salad was so delish as was the hummus which were my two sides. Great atmosphere and the team was fast. Will definitely return.

Not really gyro meat cooked the way I'm accustomed to in Houston, but flavorful. Food comes out quickly and good service.

There's plenty of nice local establishments, but some can be pricey and some are just more casual than you want. Scott Williams has perfected the restaurants of Tyler that are balanced between affordable and still quite nice. He got his toes in the water with FDs, before expanding into Javi's, Twelve, and now the fanciest of them all in III Palms. I thought of all those options, Twelve would be the most unique and tasty for my girlfriend and I. We went in an hour before they closed on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We weren't too hungry so we didn't expect to be there past their closing time, and we were ready to go. Our waiter was quick and attentive, bringing us water and helping us decide on drinks from the bar and our order. He also showed us their insane over-the-top whiskey menu. If you like whiskey, give Twelve a shot I guess. To order, I just got their 'Osaka Style' Pressed Roll while my girlfriend got a Sushi Bowl Salad. We got Sweet Potato Fries to share. As for drinks, I started with their Monkey See, Monkey Do, an impressive and firm beverage, while my girlfriend ordered their Destin Dream, a fun Pina Colada-like drink. It wasn't long before our food came out. The sushi was beautifully plated with some wasabi and pickled ginger on the side. I destroyed all the rolls. They were all very fresh and very high quality, which was remarkable for their $13.50 price tag. My girlfriend's sushi bowl looked insane. She ate most of it, but I filled the gaps and devoured the rest of it. The sweet potato fries were crispy and heavenly like all sweet potato fries usually are. I felt adventurous and I got a second drink of their Rose Garden, which was simple but flavorful. Compared to FDs, the menu might be a little more sea-inspired and more adventurous, but I think it leads to better, more unique food, especially with offerings like Oyster Rockefeller and a sushi bar. I also know Twelve does a great brunch as well, so keep that on your radar. Ultimately, as the bill came, the price was very manageable even with the alcohol. It's nice that you don't fully have to break the bank to have a nice meal in Tyler thanks to places like Twelve. I rate it a 12/10. Get it? hahahaha... RIYL: A slightly adventurous, but affordable night out.

We don't get there often these days as we've moved further out. I know restaurants are cutting here and there to survive. When I do go I typically get the muffuletta sandwich as it is historically great there. Last time a couple of months ago it looked great but they forgot to toast it so it was cold meat to the touch. They took it back and heated it but not to the level it should be. I think They get in a hurry as they really do have a lot of folks. Today I ordered it as usual. Quartet sandwich. When I got it there was very little meat. If you know this sandwich, it's filled with meat. See pics below of menu pic, actual pic of sandwich I got. I got the manager (young guy) and showed him. He said looks like they didn't get some of the meat on it. I replied looks like they didn't get most of the meat. He said he would get me some more. Later he came back with a bowl with hot ham in it and handed it to me. I put it on the sandwich and now it was about right. It was about 75% of the meat. At nearly $12 for the managers special now, you kind of want the meat on the sandwich. At least it was hot. Just need to get back to making sure everything is as it should be when delivered. Not the customer having to do so. Everything else was good including my wife's order.
