A hole in the wall neighborhood pizza joint that serves Neapolitan pizza baked in a wood burning oven. The guy sitting behind the coffee counter didn't seem too excited to help with the customers but the owner was quite welcoming. The pizzas were decent. I especially enjoyed the pepperoni. The pizzas were a bit over burnt even for a Neapolitan. I feel the dough can over be proofed a bit more to get a bit more airy. Another suggestion I have is to perhaps place the basil on the Margherita after it's baked so the basil is not burnt. That said, the pizzas were pretty good and the prices very reasonable.

Tic Tac Toe is a family-friendly pizzeria located in Eagle Rock. Entering you are greeted by a large, wood fired oven on the parking lot flanked by an outdoor patio. Our family placed our order on the drive in (was fairly busy, overall time order to pizza was 25 minutes), getting the Magherita (burrata and basil - $15) and signature Tic Tac Toe (pepperoni, onions, green peppers, hot honey - $17). They both came out hot and fresh. The crust was a little doughy and floppy, the cheese and pepperoni fairly mid, and the hot honey minimal, but the sauce was good. Overall a fairly average, serviceable pizza. Wood fired traditional is not my favorite type of pizza and the pies could have been cooked a little longer, but overall a decent pie. You don't come to Tic Tac Toe for the pizza, though. You come for the family friendly vibes and fun. Accompanying the restaurant are a number of games, an outdoor seating area with nice lighting, and a large child play area, with multiple inflatable obstacle courses, bounce houses, balls and nets, and a giant inflatable velcro dart board. Fun! The kids (and I) had a blast, ate our pies, and quickly went back for a second round post-pizza. The service was friendly - the staff delivered our pizza to us, and let us pay afterwards (due to our call in). Prices, as above, are very reasonable for what you get. Expect a cost of around $7/person assuming each person eats 3-4 slices. Decent pizza, great prices, and unbelievable family fun make three-in-a-row! Tic-tac-toe is an easy winner for a family looking for local fun and value. Food: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Value: 5/5 (4*/5 for take out, 5*/5 dine in)

Okay so .... PRO's - kid friendly - great pizza - kids area - one guy working the whole place but very helpful and accommodating CON's - NO FANS OR AC..: we came here at noon for lunch and despite the area of shade and indoor seating it was just too uncomfortable. The one guy working turned on "misters" but the misters are only in the kid area where direct sunlight hits. - 1/2 the kids area is in the sun so if it is busy it will be hard to enjoy. The kid area can also use some privacy hedges or look a little more "kept". It can also use a at more shade We will be back when it's cold or they add some fans and/or AC.

Truly one of the best pizzas we've tried! This pizza joint is using only the freshest ingredients to make their pizzas. Their marinara is delicious and made in-house, plus they even have a chef that comes in to make fresh salads every morning. They use almond wood for their wood-fire oven which adds the perfect char to the crust. And the best part is they prep and cook your pizzas in front of you! Tic-Tac-Toe used to be a pop-up but now they have their very own storefront with LOTS of space that you can use for private events and even a play area that's perfect for families.

We hosted my son's 3rd birthday party here and it was perfect! Everyone raved about how good the pizza was. The unlimited package pizza, salad and drinks package to rent the whole restaurant was very affordable and worth every penny. The kids loved the play area and it kept them busy for hours. There's lots of covered tables so it was great for a sunny day but could also be used for a cold/rainy day. But the best part of the whole event was the amazing staff. They got us everything we needed. Kept the pizza and drinks stocked and were just so nice and helpful. We will definitely host another party here and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy space to host!

Had my daughter's birthday party here & all guest loved it! Event coordinator (Angelo) was the best (Ruben Jose Anthony Raul) were very helpful & kindly assisted with making specific pizza requests. They were very welcoming and organized. The food was amazing everyone loved the variety of pizza. The kids had a blast in the playground area. The adults enjoyed their food while still being able to keep a close eye on their children! Patio area, and play area fit all our guest comfortably. Everything was perfect would most definitely have another party here. Stress free!

Pretty good pizza spot in Eagle Rock! It is a casual spot with some quirks, most set outdoors. The pizza oven is outside so you can watch your pizza being prepared, and there's plenty of casual seating with a mix of different reused furniture (what it seems) and even a back area with different kinds of seats. Friendly staff! They will let you watch them make your pizza if you're interested. The order process is self order at the front desk, the system is a little confusing because it doesn't seem to be catered to be a self ordering system at first but we figured it out. Pizza options aren't SUPER vast but there's enough variety I feel. The pizzas were pretty good, would give them a 4/5. They are fresh and the dough is nice, thin, with a crust that's got a good chew. This isn't a place that overloads the pizzas with a lot of toppings so do not expect anything wild in that sense. But I found it overall to be a good balance, I was able to finish one myself but if you have a small appetite you can definitely share it with another person. Overall solid and worth a try! The price of one personal pizza is around $15-17, which IMO is a little pricey but this is LA so it is as expected. Side salads are $7, you can probably skip these unless you really want a salad. They were pretty standard, a prepared salad from Trader Joe's could probably do it for me instead. Would definitely return if I'm feeling for classic pizza that's above average quality. It's got a homey touch to it!

This place has it all. Great food family friendly and vibes are everything. Some of the best pizza i ever had . Even got to see it made in front of me. They have delicious sides, a family combos, and you can even host your event. Would unlimited pizza for 3 hours. In the city of eagle rock. My kids love it been here a couple times because it is the perfect place to sit down.Let them have fun and enjoy some food.

Tic Tac Toe Pizza in Eagle Rock is a gem! Their Napoli-style pizzas, including the Margherita, Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Sun-Dried Tomato, are all delicious and a steal at just $10 each. The flavors are authentic and satisfying, and the welcoming, friendly staff make the experience even better. Though I live in Altadena, Tic Tac Toe is now my go-to pizza spot. Love'em!!! Please note: - There is some parking in the lost after 6pm - Outside seating only right now. They do plan to have picnic seating in the back - Drinks are a priced a little higher than expected. Bring your own, or take the pies home with you

We celebrated a birthday here. I reserve their private party area and included a great package provided by the owners. They ensure that everything was cool. Just continued to ask me, how did you find this place? A hidden gem that I hope is not hidden for long! We will definitely be back to preserve a party.

Sure the pizza was good, but the only thing that attracted me (vs the 1000 other pizza shops around) was the kids play area. Unfortunately, the play areas was not maintained well. Everything was dirty, 2 jumpers both dirty, to small trampolines big enough for a toddler and still dirty, 2 swings barely hanging ...anyway I wish it was better so I can come back, bt my 5yr old was unimpressed and kept saying these are for small kids

Found this spot by running by it around eagle rock. Ordered the pizza on the iPad inside was greeted by the staff who were super nice. Pizza came out pretty fast and tasted great. Pizza is $17 plus toppings. I'll be back for sure!

I ordered the chicken strips with fries, while my partner ordered a two-piece chicken dinner with macaroni salad and spicy rice. Although we had to wait a little while for the food, it arrived hot. We both agreed that it was some of the best fast-food fried chicken we had ever eaten. The chicken was moist and the batter was crispy. My fries were good, and my partner's macaroni salad and spicy rice were both flavorful. We especially loved the biscuit. I also couldn't help noticing that although the dining room feels like something of a relic, it is very well maintained. There were no dirty tables and no trash on the floor. I was genuinely shocked when the cashier came out to ask how everything was and whether we needed anything else. Most fast-food chains seem determined to eliminate as much human interaction as possible. Pioneer Chicken was a refreshing reminder that fast food can still be friendly, clean and satisfying. Service was on point the entire night, for my experience, maybe cause they know I was was going to tip very heavily. Ha ha ha. Which ai did by the way! Staff was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious. The team here knows the menu inside and out, and they guide you like they're curating an experience rather than just taking an order. Drinks topped off, plates cleared smoothly, pacing perfect. High‑end feel without the high‑end attitude. Let's talk about the food. Filipino Fusion Done With Swagger Ribeye Salpicao, This dish is straight-up dangerous. Tender ribeye cubes seared with garlicky, buttery goodness, the kind of salpicao that makes you rethink every bite you have. Rich, savory, and addicting. If you don't guard your plate, someone at the table will steal a piece. "Because I know I would!" Rockfish Pritong, it was crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside, and seasoned like someone's Filipino auntie whispered the secrets of life into the batter. Bright, punchy flavors with that perfect crunch. Definitely a sleeper hit. Crispy Duck Pancit, This one is wild, pancit with a crispy duck twist that somehow feels both comforting and elevated. The noodles soak up all that savory duck richness, and the crispy skin on top. Wow, a moment of silence for how good that bite is. Papaya Salad, so fresh, bright, and refreshing. A perfect palate reset between the heavier dishes. Crunchy, citrusy, and balanced, the kind of salad that actually earns its spot on the table. Grilled Eggplant Salad, smoky, silky eggplant with a char that tastes like it came straight off a backyard grill in Manila. Light but flavorful, and a great contrast to the richer plates. Pasta Palabok, a true Filipino classic reimagined. Creamy, savory palabok sauce wrapped around pasta instead of noodles, bold move, but it works. The textures are luxurious, and the flavors stay true to the original. Tare Tare Tamale, definitely one of the most creative dishes of the night. A fusion tamale with tare flavors that hit sweet, salty, and umami all at once. Soft masa, rich filling, and a flavor combo that makes you pause mid‑bite. "Mmmm hmmm!" Hamachi, so clean, fresh, and beautifully plated. The kind of hamachi that melts instantly and makes you feel fancy even if you're wearing sneakers. Of course I had my dress shoes on. It has bright citrus notes and just the right amount of heat. Sampa nails the high‑end, artsy vibe without feeling stiff. Trendy lighting, modern décor, and a soundtrack that keeps the energy fun. Perfect for date night, anniversaries, or when you want to look like you know the cool spots in LA. Sampa is Filipino fusion with confidence, bold flavors, gorgeous plating, and an atmosphere that elevates the whole night. If you're trying to impress your significant other, celebrate something special, or just treat yourself to a killer meal in the Arts District, this place delivers.
