There's also a large backroom with picnic tables and a small outdoor patio area. It's a good place for groups. They got a good happy hour Mon-Fri 3-6. Highlights are the $10 margaritas and food specials. Can definitely recommend the frozen margarita. The tacos are good. They're a more fusion style so not your normal street taco. The open face quesadilla is great for soaking up the booze. I'll definitely be coming back to try more. Add them to your happy hour list. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two. Please bring back the tofu curry taco and potato taco. You have nothing for vegetarians except 3 very outlandish, decidedly not Mexican and very strangely flavored options: falafel taco, tempura cauliflower taco, and miso mushroom burrito. When you first opened, there was a mushroom taco our family liked. Then you removed it. We eventually returned and tried a potato cheese taco you added. We loved it. Then you removed it. More recently you had a short term tofu taco. Now you don't. We ordered like 4 of everything so I was able to sample everything! Loved it all. Must consume when warm bc once it gets cold it doesn't taste the same. Take some home to heat up. All of these tacos taste so good and authentic to its background. Ingredients they do not go cheap here. I also ordered a margarita made delish perfectly. Since I moved from Glendale, I forgot I wanted to try this place until I ran some errands in the area. Coming here on a random Wednesday around 3 pm, I found plenty of parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, and I was impressed by how much bigger this place is compared to how it looks. There's a lot of indoor seating and a nice little patio in the back. I can see lots of big parties coming here to hang out. I ordered a happy hour Mexi-Cali quesadilla, sangria, and house fries. I had to wait a bit for my food (maybe 10 minutes), but my food was overall tasty (maybe a bit oilier than I expected but still tasty). I came on a Friday night, and the entire patio was filled with families. I also made it right on time before "social hour" ended. The discounted beverages were great during social hour. I was recommended this place when I was in the area and I needed to eat asap. I made a pick up order and it was quick and easy to do and pick up. My friend suggested the bulgogi taco so I had that one and I tried the nashville hot cod taco. Omg both of them were soooo good! They are big sized tacos. Came here for a catered event (was in the back patio and the event was catered by Taco Social themselves). The Ribeye Bulgogi and Baja Shrimp tacos were two of my favorites. We also had the Carne Asada and the Mexi-Cali ones. Service was fast and efficient, staff was friendly and responsive at all times, and the ambiance was great. Sadly, I didn't have the best experience. When I walked in , I wasn't greeted or given any customer service on where to sit so I just grabbed a seat at the bar. Bartender's energy was flat, seemed like he didn't like to work there. He didn't offer any information on the menu so we ordered one of every taco to really get an idea. The tacos came out at a good time but they were extremely greasy, lack of flavor, and overall very flat , especially for the price. Spent over $100 on the food and had one margarita on tap (also very flat in flavor) . We Stayed to watch the game for a while but the ambiance was very loud intoxicated older gentleman. I wasn't impressed, probably won't come back. Quick update: The manager did reach out and offer a token of his apologies. I do appreciate that the feedback was taken politely and was made right. They were just okay, and that is a tough place to land in Southern California where tacos are basically a religion and the competition is fierce. The Thai chili shrimp taco was pretty good and easily my best bite. The bulgogi taco missed for me, and the tortilla did not help. It was a bit doughy and honestly reminded me of a grocery store Mission flour tortilla. My friend liked his banh mi taco, so clearly there are better choices on the menu than what I picked. Overall, it is a good place to hang, grab a beer, and soak in the scene. I loved the Thai chili shrimp taco and would definitely come back just for that one! They offered two salsas, one red and one habanero, personally I did not like either one, honestly, these tacos do not need additional salsa. They do not have a typical taco condiment area, as the tacos stand on their own, no additional condiments needed. Oh Taco Social. I love your vibe. If you've ever had Velvet Taco (mostly in the south), you know the deal. Bold, non-traditional tacos that scratch the comfort food itch and down well. (The pork belly could use some salsa it's on the hefty side and was a little dry because of the beans that's inside of it I think but it definitely has lots of flavor!
