I had my grandfather clock serviced by this business and he did an excellent job and my clock keeps excellent time. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore, and most of them I know of are overwhelmed with customers, so you have to be patient. Very satisfied. read more

I am having the same issues as in the other reviews. My mother had her grandfather's clock repaired by the Tic-Toc Shop. She was told it would take a while because they had to get the parts from Germany. It did take almost a year. It was to be guaranteed for 2 years. Within 6 months it stopped. The weights were not able to be lifted, like they were locked up. He came back to the house and said he never saw anything like it. He took the parts back to the shop and had it for another year. When he finally received the parts needed, the weights went down once and now can't be lifted again. just like before. I have called multiple times and his wife (?) takes a message and says he will call back but no response. This last issue has been since May and still no response. It was expensive to get him to "fix" it the first time and he guarantee means nothing! read more

Same story as other reviewers. I took my clock to them and was told it would be at least two months, which was technically correct. I picked it up after 6 months not even looked at. When I called about once a month his wife (I think) said he would call but never did. It is very difficult to find anyone to work on antique clocks so I guess it will just hang on the wall as a decoration. read more

Wish I had read the reviews before I took my mantle clock here. They kept it nearly a year and when I finally got it back, it still doesn't work correctly. I will never take another clock here and I cannot recommend their service. read more

I've had a Grandfather clock maintenance for a move and he did do a good job , I was pressed for time and he did come through . While he was at my place I asked him about a antique mantle clock I had and he said sure no problem take me a couple months to repair winding mechanism and clean it up ..this was in late April 2018 . It's now March 2019 and I'm just getting my clock back . I think he does a good job working on clocks just terribly slow . read more

This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had. 8 months for basic service; VERY poor communication, often not returning calls at all; twice as expensive as my repair guy in Northeast Ohio. I would urge anyone to find another repair shop. read more

I dropped off my clock 15 months ago and I still don't have it back. Communication has been VERY poor. Every time I called, they just said that he was still working on it. At the one year anniversary, I called and said I wanted my clock back and all of a sudden, "they located the parts and were able to proceed with repairs". After 3 more months, I called yesterday and got the same run around, "they would get back to me". Today I called again and was told it would be a few more weeks....pretty clear they had no intention of calling me back or doing anything but give me the run around. read more

Awful experience! Dropped off an antique mantle clock on November 1, 2017 and was told it would be ready in February. I called every month or so to check status and was told the same thing every time by the wife "he's not here right now, but he's working on it", sometimes there was a slight variation to that. She never once called me to provide a status. Finally, in September 2018 I picked up the clock and it was in the same condition as when I dropped it off. 90% of your business is customer service - start with that. Call people back. Provide updates. If you can't fix it, then tell them. It really is that simple. If you go here, don't expect timely service or a callback. read more

I took my clock to this guy for repair. I could only talk with the wife, and she said it would take 3 to 6 weeks and cost around $175. After 5 months and a couple of phone calls,I finally got the clock back. The cost was $235. I never met the man. The clock has stopped running again, but I would never use this guy again. He has no interest in serving the customer, only after the money. read more

Extremely dissatisfied....Took 55 year old Triple Chime Clock to be repaired.....Clock guy (owner) promised the clock would run 'like new' and cost Approx $ 375.00 .....after approx 6 months of back & forth, got the clock back twice, (and paid his bill) and it still does not chime correctly etc. .... Took a clock there for repairs. Got it back reportedly working twice- didn't work when I got it home. He had it for 2 years and couldn't get it running. Wouldn't provide any information about the status of the clock, only that he was still working on it and could never speak directly to him, only his wife. Seems to be a nice man and seems to love clocks, but that amount of time and lack of communication is unacceptable in my book. read more
