In early January, I took a gold watch bracelet to them to have two links made to lengthen the bracelet. While in their possession, I inquired almost weekly for an update on an estimate for cost and time needed to perform the work but never received it. After about two months of waiting, I decided I'd take it back and have someone else work on it. When I went to pick it up, Sonya the store manager, handed it back to me in pieces. I started putting it back together when I noticed there were pieces missing. Had I not checked, Sonya would have let me leave the store with it in that condition. After pointing out the missing pieces, she said she would look for the missing parts and have it ready the next week. So I came back the next week and the bracelet wasn't there. I wasted my time going to the store when they could have called me to let me know it wasn't there. I was told to come back again the following week. I came back the next week and when I inspected the bracelet again, I found that it was again missing parts, but now it had been damaged. It looked like one or possibly more of the links had been hit with a hammer. How they managed to damage it so badly I have no idea. The parts damaged shouldn't have even been handled at all. I'm now waiting for Sonya to again resolve this but at this point, this watch bracelet is likely a loss and will need to be claimed as such by their business insurance. The cost is almost irrelevant though as this bracelet is irreplaceable. Don't take your valuables to Best Jewelers because they may end up like mine - ruined.

For context, I have had several negative experiences in the past with this jeweler, including condescending comments about jewelry quality, but what just happened is so far beyond this. I dropped off my diamond engagement ring to get repaired. The women whose husband owns the store called me and told me that my diamond was fake, that it was cubic zirconia. I was devastated, as was my husband who paid a lot of money for it. She then calls back 30 minutes later and says that she makes a mistake. She did not apologize or take any accountability and instead blamed me. Please do not trust this store with your jewelry. They are clearly not experts at determining jewelry quality. Given that they're an authorized dealer for heavy hitters like Rolex, Tudor, and Omega, it makes total sense they maintain a secure, high-touch environment rather than letting visitors wander freely. Maddy took me up to the second floor where their pre-owned selection is housed. Wow, what a setup! Having around 100 pre-owned watches under glass was a pleasant surprise; most authorized dealers keep only a handful on-site and store the rest off-premises. Maddy was exceptionally patient as we pulled several pieces to try on. When none ended up being quite the right fit, she brought me back to the main showroom to explore new pieces from Tudor and Omega (since Precision isn't a Breitling dealer). The facility itself is gorgeous. The entrance features a double-glass secure vestibule with a buzz-in system. The main showroom is impeccably laid out with distinct brand spaces, and the floor-to-ceiling windows flood the entire space with natural light. Even though it sits right on busy Route 309 in Lower Gwynedd, the acoustics inside make it dead silent--you don't hear a sound from traffic. The only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 is the complete lack of post-visit follow-up. I left my name, phone number, and email expecting at least a quick note or periodic check-in. Instead, it's been total crickets over the last few weeks.
