The theater was comfortable not too cold but not hot. I mention that because a few months ago I went to the AMC in firewheel and it was hot and stuffy. They have super comfy large leather recliners. Service was quick friendly and efficient. The food is of course expensive but that's pretty much standard at every movie theater these days. The popcorn did not taste fresh but the hot dog was juicy and delicious.

Your wristband will allow you to have 3 beers but Dallas Blonde booth were giving beer samples less than a pint and you can comeback as much as you can handle. I can't wait to do it again next year!

The location can't be beat - centrally located right around the Eisemann Center at US 75 and Galatyn Parkway. Plenty of parking - free at surrounding businesses and paid at the Eisemann. Richardson residents can buy advance tickets at a lower rate. This year, tickets were on sale for Friday and Saturday and admission was free for Sunday. This year I happened to win free admission tickets! I always find several bands I'm interested in seeing. For almost the past 20 years, I have attended Wildflower, except for starting the year or two before Covid. About 7-8 years ago, I was at one of the main headliners and it was so crowded, that I did not feel safe. There were way too many people crammed in to the outdoor space and I thought if there was a true emergency, it would be really hard to get out safely. So this year, I checked the band line up and decided Friday night looked good. We met up with some friends and had a great time! I went to the country stage to see Jackson Dean and Justin Moore, visiting Blues Traveler at the main stage in between their showtimes. It's great to be able to have so many choices and genres available. Some singers are inside the Eisemann, so when it's really hot outside, it's so refreshing to go into the air conditioning and sit in nice comfy seats. For the outdoor shows, you can bring a blanket or lightweight outdoor chairs. There is a wide range of food and beverage options and lots of porta potties set up all around. You can shop at the various vendor tents sprinkled throughout. I always enjoy seeing the decorated guitars that are up for auction that are displayed in the Eisemann lobby. Thank you City of Richardson for putting together such a wonderful event every year! I know it must take A LOT of people and planning to pull off an event of this magnitude. There was a huge police, SWAT and volunteer presence and I am happy to report that I felt very safe at this year's event!

Music genre varies, but there is usually a headliner or two that everyone knows. If you are a Richardson resident you can buy a ticket online in advance for $15 for the day. The headliner in 2026 was George Thoroughgood and the Destroyers, and the opening act was Blues Traveler. They performed on Friday night starting at 8:30 pm until nearly midnight. There were other musicians that performed throughout the day and evening on the various stages. Lots of vendors setup tents and sold or exhibited their items. There were local businesses, artisans, and food & drink vendors. You can easily spend the entire day and night here and be entertained, but if you only have an hour, you are still sure to have fun. Parking is free in the Blue Cross Blue Shield parking garages north of Lookout off Greenville. The street and festival have a lot of volunteers and police directing people. Signage was easy to follow. There is a bag security check at the entrance. Also, there are rules about what is and isn't permitted into the venue. You can bring a foldable lawn chair, blanket, one manufactured sealed water bottle with you. I recommend wearing a good pair of shoes because there is a lot of walking and standing around. The event is rain or shine, so your shoes might get muddy and wet in f there is inclement weather. There are paved sidewalks in a lot of areas, but there are also grassy areas that you might walk through. Most vendors take credit cards. There are activities for both adults and children. If you get really hot, you can seek shelter in the Eismann Center and enjoy the A/C. They have activities inside, too. I bought tickets for all three days because at the time of my advanced purchase, I didn't know who the bands were or what my availability would be that weekend. I only ended up going on Friday night. I was told that the event was free on Sunday, which surprised me since I had purchased tickets in advance for that day as well. I won't make that mistake again! If you volunteer, they give you a t-shirt for working the event and free admission on Sunday so that you can enjoy the event because you won't have time on the day you volunteer. I've only been to this festival about three times in the 9 years I have lived here, but I have enjoyed it each time. I especially love that I can enjoy inexpensive, live music in the city where I live. I've seen some great bands each time and always look forward to returning.

That resulted in us looking for a claw machine arcade since Kiddleton was closed that day. We came across Clawzania and omg! This place is so cute! It's clean, nicely spaced out and the prizes aren't impossible to win. You can trade plushies for bigger prizes if you want to, which is really cool. We won about two stuff animals, and were pretty content with our prizes. I do like that they have trade in options. For example, if you have two stuff animals, you can trade in for another stuff animal that you like. Some of the larger stuff animals are about 20-30 trade ins. Overall, it was a fun time. For those unfamiliar with The Ballpark at Arlington these are very well-situated seats that are wider than all the rest and come with concierge service to your seat. My card was charged immediately and I received confirmation via e-mail right away. The game ended up being was rescheduled to the next day (October 10) due to rain. I was appropriately notified by Let's Talk Tickets via e-mail about the change. There was a $15 charge to pick the tickets up near the stadium, which I paid. As I approached the stadium I called to get directions and confirm that they had the tickets--I was told that the tickets were ready and waiting and I was given directions to the pick-up location. This was approximately one hour before game time and 20 minutes before I arrived at Lower Level Tickets (the designated pick-up point). When we arrived at Lower Level Tickets approximately 20 minutes later to pick up our tickets we were dismayed and disgusted to be told that MY NON-REFUNDABLE PRE-PAID tickets had "accidentally" been sold to some one else! I couldn't understand how this could happen when I had just confirmed that they were there 20 minutes prior! I was basically told that I was SOL. The guy at Lower Level Tickets said he "would try to get us in the stadium" which is dummy-speak for nosebleed seats that weren't even together. No thanks. No comparable or alternate tickets with 5 adjacent seats were offered. They said they'd give me a refund of my purchase price. I asked to speak to the manager but he refused to come out. No apology, no nothing. I then had the unenviable task of going back to the car empty-handed to tell my two grandsons (aged 7 and 5) that we got ripped off and they were unfortunately NOT going to their first Ranger game that day. I called the broker at Let's Talk Tickets in New Jersey (Rob Giaconia) since he was the one I actually paid the money to online. He was unapologetic but said he'd give us a refund. I said that he needed to do one of two things: 1) get us in the game in comparable seats TOGETHER, or 2) get us comparable seats for the next home game (this would be Game 6 IF the series came back to Texas). I felt that even this was pushing it because there might not even be a Game 6! Rob chose to do neither because he said if there was a Game 6, that those same tickets would be a little more expensive so it would cost him money. The way I see it, they made a HUGE mistake and should eat any loss they would sustain to try to rectify the screw-up. Apparently that is not how either of these companies do business. Both the agent at Lower Level Tickets and Rob at Let's Talk Tickets could not have cared less and to add insult to injury, Rob ended up SCREAMING at me on the phone! The whole family was extremely disappointed since I promised to take the little ones to their first Rangers game. I am aware that sometimes crazy things happen but I do expect that any business worth its salt would step up and try to do the right thing to fix the situation. No one took any responsibility for what happened. They should be ashamed to do business that way. BEWARE! You can use these guys and pay for your tickets but you won't know for sure whether you will actually get them! I am taking my grandkids to Game 6 and I already bought the tickets but I sure as heck didn't use these jokers again. I'd give them no stars if it would let me.

I may have to think about one of the extreme side seats on higher levels. That could restrict sight lines some. The Broadway shows are always great - in my opinion the sound and seating at Winspear really shine versus Fair Park Music Hall. Concerts here are fantastic and I would jump at the chance to see a favorite artist at the Winspear. Easiest parking is the Lexus Red lot but it is a bit pricey and naturally takes a while to empty out post show. Still you can walk around after the show and let the crowds clear out or get a snack at the Flora Cantina next door. There is also dining inside the center up high which looks really great. Amazing views from inside on all levels. What a gorgeous building and we are lucky to have it in our city.
