When I decided to hire Tico cleaning service, I advised the owner, Gabby, we just completed a 3-month remodel process, and would like to hire Tico to clean off the dust in our kitchen, dining area, bedrooms and bathrooms. We thought this Cleaning job would cause us no problems since there were no furnitures in the dining and living room. On Monday 29November2917, two cleaning people from Tico arrived on time, and we scheduled them to clean our home for 2 hours. Sadly, during the first hour of cleaning, my wife observed that the two Tico cleaners were not properly trained to thoroughly, and carefully, clean kitchen appliances, cabinets and tile surfaces. For example, I have a new 5-day old Wolf stove that was just installed, and have yet to be used, whose stainless steel surface was scratched when the burner grates were removed and replaced after cleaning. I brought this to the attention of the owner, who denied that it was her cleaning people that did the damage. In summary, Tico employees cleaning skills were unsatisfactory, and the owner refused to acknowledge, or take responsibility, that one of her employees caused damage to a new stove (that has yet to be used). I originally contacted the owner to get a quote to clean our office. She was very prompt in her response and scheduled time the same day. Her and her husband came by, looked over the office and assured us they would get us a quote immediately via email. 2 days went by and I still had not heard back, so I decided to reach out to her asking for a follow up. We were in no rush but would still like the information. She emailed me back almost right away apologizing for the delay, and offered a great quote. I responded telling her we would love to hire her and her team, asking when we could get on their calendar. No response. 2 more days - I call and leave a message. Still no response. The next day I email again. No response. I let a week pass and try calling once more. To this day I have never heard back. Which is unfortunate, we were more than willing to hire Tico's. I submitted a quote request via Yelp and got a response from the owner, Gabby, within a couple of hours. We then started to correspond via text messages. We were trying to help an older relative who had not been very mobile recently and we expected the house needed cleaning. This was a last minute request and Gabby was kind enough to accommodate our schedule. Although I was coordinating the cleanup, my husband would be the one who would physically be at the house. The cleaning crew arrived late, without notification, but I don't hold that against them as I was grateful they were able to make it at all. According to my husband, the house was a horrible mess. I had scheduled the cleaning crew of 3 for two hours but they stayed a little over three hours (at $85 per hour). Staff were very friendly and nice to my dog. That is the pro column. Seems like they just cleaned whatever was convenient. Cleaned the tub and sink but not the faucet and knobs... broke one of my door stops and left dust over over the top of every taller appliance and surface. They also took all of the dirty dishes and just piled them up in the sink... never have hired a cleaning service and come to a sink full of dishes.. I dont make a ton of $ and treat myself to a professional clean only occasionally... in this instance for company. So I come home pay 100$ and now have to spend some time washing dishes and cleaning the things they didnt? And it is a very small apartment, I have had multiple cleaning services do a much more thorough job in the same time frame for same cost. Not happy and wont be returning here. read more

I had a good experience. I was moving out after 10 years and multiple roommates, so it was a big job (which is why I needed help). I was told 2-3 hrs would be enough although I suspected it would be longer. It was. The crew immediately saw this upon arrival and made plans to bust ass at my place for 3 hours, go do another job, and then come back to my place. It got done. The work was excellent. I should have told them up front that a deep cleaning was necessary, but they could also have inquired, so fyi on that. Exciting homeowner moment #3: The empty house is filthy. When my new home was turned over to me, the previous tenants ran out of time and ended up not being able to clean very well. And because they had two kids, two dogs, and a cat, it was pretty dirty. After being in the house 30 minutes and sneezing my face off, I knew I could not move in until it had been professionally cleaned. My budget was pretty tight (and cleaning was not initially part of it) so I wanted to get as much done as possible for the limited amount of money I could spend on it. I spoke with Gaby and explained this to her. She understood, and told me they were booked for the rest of the week but could get me in first thing Monday morning. I whined and told her that I had to move over the weekend and Monday would just be too late for me, I would probably be dead from pet hair inhalation by then. She took pity on my pathetic soul and said she could send a crew by Friday afternoon if that was ok with me. I thanked her tremendously and booked the appointment. Gaby's crew was on time and ready to work. I walked them through the house and told them my most important needs and a few additional wants, should time allow, but then I had to go back to my office. When time was getting close to being up, Gaby texted me to let me know the house was not done and did I want them to stay longer to finish. I told her that unfortunately, I just did not have it in my moving budget, but thanked her for letting me know. Well, Gaby and her 3-person crew stayed an extra half hour FOR FREE to get the job done for me. It was soooo kind of them to go the extra mile to make sure my daughters and I had a clean house to move into. When I came home I was so blown away by the amount of work they had gotten done. I was moving out of my apartment and called Tico's to help do a deep cleaning so I could hopefully get my deposit back. Let me tell you, they did an awesome job. Even though my apartment was not too dirty, they made it look better than when I received it! They charged me per hour and I requested that they try not to go over 2 hours. Not only did they respect my wishes of the amount of time I requested, they actually finished with 10 minutes to spare. Would I recommend them? Definitely! They do a great job and will probably ask them to clean my new place when I need it. The only negative thing that I have to say is the person I talked to on the phone would tell me that she would call me on a Friday to schedule the cleaners to come for the following Friday. Yet I didn't receive a call. I had to call them and ask when they would come. When I called on the Friday we were going to schedule the time, she told me that she would have to call me on Monday to schedule it because they clean apartments on Fridays and she has to see how many apartments they need to clean before coming to my place. Monday came and still did not receive a call. Again, I had to call them. After the second call, I was finally able to schedule a time. Even though there was that lack of communication, I will still give them 5 stars for the awesome job they did and doing it in the amount of time I requested. So if you're in need of a cleaner, they are definitely worth it. Just keep in mind that if you need your place cleaned on a Friday, you might have to call them on a Monday to schedule it. read more

My wife had to leave to be with her family for an extended period of time - leaving me and my 2 teen boys on our own. My budget was 5 hours for a 1600 sq foot home. Considering how filthy the previous owners left it, I knew that wasn't enough time. The kitchen alone would've taken me an entire day to scrub down. I just moved to the Antelope / North Highlands Ca area and needed cleaning services. I am not one to complain about small things in business that go wrong but I feel I must say something to caution others who wanna do hire Ticos service. I called and spoke to Gabby and had set up a deep clean of my work office and break room I just recently moved into at my business a last month. I felt that the service tech was rude to me and just wanted to clean what ever was easiest, just like the other yelpers talked about in their reviews. I expect my employees to have a certain standard and conduct and don't expect anything less from other businesses. My empoyee bathroom looked as though it had not been touched right after it was cleaned, i'm not happy. I called in later that same day to complain but felt attitude on the phone and I wasn't properly dealt with, and still haven't. The owner Gabby is arrogant and rude!
