I've been eyeing this place. My friend recommended after I smelled his food from the other side of the office. It smelled so good; like authentic Thai/lao food. That smell made my decision to finally give them a try. Oh boy!!!! I can't believe I haven't tried it any sooner! I had the beef larb with rice, spiciest level and the chicken Panang curry (spiciest level). I can def handle my spices. Everything was cooked perfectly, delicious, so flavorful! Great portions and packed with care! I like my Thai tea about 50-70% sweetness; Tin Din was perfectly made. I can wait to try their other dishes in the future.

First time ordering from here and the food was delicious, but I found a piece of wirey metal in my pad Thai. So sad since I wanted to make this a regular spot to order from. :(

My wife found this place on DoorDash and we were enticed by the prices as they are still soft opening. We placed our orders online and proceeded to the store and arrived at 11:45. Unfortunately, we did not get our order until 12:30 because the cook did not show up to work on time. I understand life happens, but it was still disappointing nonetheless. You can order at the counter and pick up your food when called. The dining area only has a few 4 person tables on the inside and 2 tables outside. The parking lot only has a few spots, so this place is very small. When the food finally came out, it was so worth the wait. The flavors were on point, the noodles were chewy, and the meat was tender. The portion size was big as well. On our second visit, our order was ready to go with no issues. This place is not only delicious, but affordable as well. Definitely recommend this place.

This is a great spot if you want Thai. Food comes out extremely hot. You really can't eat it or serve children until it cools. I asked for an extra bowl and plate to separate and let a smaller portion cool quickly for my kids. They give huge portions. It was definitely enough food to share and have lunch the following day. The food doesn't come out together and wait was about 30 minutes. It wasn't the best choice for us with two kids and running behind schedule for dinner but we made it work. There are about 4 tables inside and a few outside with a standing eating area. Two bathrooms are available. The parking lot is small. Maybe 6 cars... it was pretty tight and you back out directly onto the street. You'll need to ensure you look carefully for traffic.

Had a training nearby and saw this spot was relatively new and I can go for Thai almost any day. I asked the cashier what he recommended and he told me try the grilled pork rice bowl so I had that with a few of their sauces on the side. The pork was incredibly tender and overall , the flavor was great, not salty and the portion lasted me 2 meals. Can't wait to come back and try their curry next!

A former taco shop in Linda Vista has turned into a casual Thai street food eatery, Tid Din. The structure looked like it used to be the home of a diner with its strange roof angles. There was an on-site parking lot that could hold about half a dozen vehicles. The inside only had three four-top tables for seating while a few tables were set up outside in front of the building. The menu screen was mounted right behind the service counter when you walked in. Appetizers, grilled proteins, larb salads, tom yum soups, Thai coconut curries, and rice bowls were the categories. My meal consisted of the Fried Tofu and a Grilled Pork Rice Bowl. Eight pieces of tofu made up the appetizer that was served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. They came fresh out of the fryer so I had to be careful with the hot temperature before taking a bite. Thai jasmine rice, cilantro, cucumber, carrot, and cherry tomato were the ingredients that came with the grilled pork in the bowl. Even though I was dining in, both items were served in separate round cardboard bowls which was awkward. The meat was cooked just right while the cup of Thai chili fish sauce provided additional moisture to the mix. My dining experience at Tid Din was at a three star level.

"Rice Blow Beef" absolutely surprised me The beef was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sauce had the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and spicy -- especially with the fresh chili dipping sauce on the side.

Soft opening. Decent parking, easy on your wallet. Chicken, Beef, and Veg offerings accompanied by your choice of rice. Friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Tid Din is a new thai restaurant where Taco Bomb used to be. It is right next to my apartment so I had to check it out. There are parking spots on the property which is a plus. They recently added in a mango with sweet rice dish that I saw on social media and I was craving a sweet treat one night and I decided to try it here. I was impressed for the quality and the price. which I thought was decent and hit the spot! Im happy there is a restaurant so close by that I can walk to if I don't feel like cooking. I definitely need to try the food dishes in the future!

Saw their sign and decide to try this new Thai food restaurant in Linda vista. Probably the best kept secret for Thai food in San Diego, and I know Thai, because I'm married to one. We ordered the grilled pork laarb, and the chicken panang curry. Absolutely outstanding and the portions are very generous. Don't let the paper plates and plastic fork and spoon scare you. They are extra thick and heavy duty. The food more than makes up for it. They just opened, so the menu is still a work in process, and they are constantly adding new items weekly. The food is a five star - first rate and FABULOUS experience...

After a few months of eyeing this restaurant I finally had the opportunity to order take-out for the first time tonight. We ordered the larb rice bowl with chicken and the larb rice bowl with pork. The order was ready for pickup very quickly and the woman at counter was very sweet. Though we eat very spicy, we ordered medium. Both dishes were incredibly tasty and the spice was more than I expected but very much appreciated! My husband described the food on one word: exceptional. My one-word description was spectacular. In other words, I think we have found our new favorite Thai spot, and we will definitely be back!

So good!! The previous reviews were right about the spice. I kept it medium and it was perfectly spicy. I will definitely be back! Staff was nice and friendly.

We were lucky and were able to grab the spot right out front. For drinks we each ordered a cocktail. It did take a bit for them to come out but once they did you can tell time and effort were put into making them. They were beautiful and all tasted great. We ordered 4 dishes to share, the wasabi scallop ceviche, crispy baby crab, braised beef panang, and crab fried rice. The ceviche was definitely one of my favorites. Super flavorful, fresh, with the perfect amount of wasabi. The crispy baby crab was savory and easy to eat, especially since you're eating the whole crab, shell and all. The curry in the braised beef panang was so addicting, I couldn't stop eating it. The crab fried rice was tasty and filling. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice. The mangoes were fresh and sweet. Overall pretty standard but still yummy. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. All the food came out in the timely manner. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but can be a little dressy for a nice date. Overall I definitely recommend a try here. Beautiful presentation with all the food and drinks while still being delicious.

We got the Taro Fritters, Bangkok street noodles, pork sausage, and the chicken wings. The highlight of the dinner were the chicken wings!! They were so flavorful and crispy, I cannot recommend them enough. The taro fritters were a close second, the tamarind sauce was also a highlight of my dinner experience. Service was quick + amiable, and the inside of Sovereign was clean and inviting. The decor is dark and moody, with live plants throughout the establishment. Parking is metered & limited, but definitely worth the hassle.

When we ordered, our server took the time to explain their spice scale (1-5), letting us know that a 1 is already about a medium spice level. We settled on mostly 2-3, but wow--the Thum Khao Poon (shredded green papaya salad) still packed some serious heat! Even my spice-loving kids were challenged. The server also gave us a heads-up that it's very fish-forward in flavor, which we appreciated and happened to love. The absolute standout of the meal was the Nam Khao Tod. It was hands down the family favorite--crispy coconut rice with pork sausage, crunchy peanuts, fresh herbs, and so many incredible textures and flavors in every bite. We could have ordered a second plate! We also had the Drunken Noodles with chicken, which were slightly oily in the best possible way, making them extra rich and delicious. The Chef's Special Basil Stir Fry with Crispy Pork was another winner. Our server brought over a chili vinegar that elevated the crispy pork to a whole new level--it was so good drizzled over every bite. Great food, thoughtful service, and plenty of dishes we're already looking forward to trying next time. Can't wait to come back!

The plaza has horrible parking, and we had to aggressively fight for a parking space with another car before we could even walk in. Came here on a Saturday around 6 pm with 2 friends. == FOOD == We got a beef pad see ew, khao soi, and a pork rice. All the food was pretty good. I took off one star because it seemed like the pad see ew was smothered in white pepper. == SERVICE == Service was a bit slow, but we think it was because we were waiting for the rice to be cooked? However, the staff was polite, apologetic about the delay, and very attentive. She gave us free mango sticky rice. == AMBIANCE == Interior is very nice and there is bar seating too. The bathroom is also very clean. If you don't mind a slower-paced meal and a chaotic parking lot, the amazing Lao and Thai flavors are completely worth it!
