Backstory: Mid-December 2025 I was getting ready to head out on a road trip. I own a pug who sheds year-freaking-round, and my boyfriend cannot stand dog hair. So naturally, I decided my car needed some serious TLC before we embarked on several hours of "bonding" in a confined, fur-covered space. I found this company on Yelp. While they didn't have a ton of reviews yet, my interaction with Jocelyn was great right from the start, so I decided to book. They came to my workplace and detailed my car right in the parking lot, which was incredibly convenient. Communication was excellent the entire time--updates on arrival, timing, everything. They arrived around 2 PM and finished right at 5 PM. I have a small SUV and... WOW. They got every nook and cranny. One of my biggest pet peeves is how much dog hair gets wedged between the seats by the armrest (and very possibly a few rogue fries or a stray Sour Patch Kid... ha!). Another is the carpet in cars. Yes, I have heavy-duty rubber mats, but there are always those strips of carpet that act like a magnet for dirt and hair that never wants to let go. I've tried every tool imaginable with little success. This crew somehow got it all. My car honestly looked, felt, and smelled amazing--like new again. And the best part? They did all of this while it was sleeting and generally miserable outside. The weather was far from ideal, but they showed up, worked hard, and delivered incredible results. That kind of professionalism really stood out. Highly recommend. I've already shared their info with several people. I'll still swing by Crew Carwash for a quick exterior wash, but for interior cleaning? Hard pass. You never know what those vacuums sucked up before you arrived--and that's assuming you find one that actually works. And clearly... it's time for me to book again. He answered the phone when I called originally and gave me an estimated quote based on my reported condition of my car. My dog used to ride in the car, so there was a fair amount of pet hair between and under the seats. Israel and his workers got my car spotlessly clean inside and out in just a few hours on a Saturday. He also applied an exterior protectant, and buffed out my headlights and a few minor scuffs. He texted when my car was ready, and when I picked it up he shared several very helpful car care tips. The pricing was very competitive, given the high quality of work. I went in looking for whatever level of polish I could get within a roughly $500 budget, and Rod ended up delivering essentially a three-stage correction within that budget. The quality of the work, service, and value were all excellent, and we were genuinely thrilled with how the car turned out. We had just purchased the vehicle CPO with about 30,000 miles on it. We bought it Wednesday afternoon in Virginia and drove it home by Thursday night. By Friday morning, some dried mud was unfortunately wiped off the paint, leaving several additional scratches on top of some clear-coat scratches and deeper marks that were already there. Vik Black is a beautiful metallic black, but it shows almost everything. We dropped the car off with Rod Monday morning. Our goal was not showroom perfect. We just wanted the paint to look significantly better without spending well over $1,000. Rod initially discussed around a two-step polish for roughly $450, but what we ultimately received was essentially a three-stage correction for $500. Comparable quotes I had seen for that level of work were well north of $1,000. The car was washed, decontaminated and clay barred, polished, then worked again with a heavier compound and wool pad in areas with deeper defects, followed by a final polish and wax. The result was fantastic. The car is not absolutely perfect under every light, but it is also a 30,000-mile CPO vehicle with some deeper scratches. For what we asked for and what we paid, the improvement was excellent. More importantly, this was a car we had literally just brought home, and after the correction it finally felt like the new-to-us vehicle we had been excited about buying in the first place. The service was just as good. I have increasingly felt that with most businesses you can pick two of three: great quality, great service, or a great price. Rod somehow managed all three. Rod originally expected the job to take one day. Around midday Monday, he called and left me a voicemail asking whether he could keep the car until the following morning because it could benefit from some additional work. I was in a meeting and could not respond right away. When he had not heard back from me within about an hour, he decided to honor the turnaround he had originally promised and worked double time to finish the additional work. The car was ready that same Monday evening. When we picked it up, Rod and his team were clearly proud of the work and excited to show us the result. That meant a lot. You can tell when someone genuinely cares about the work they are putting their name on, and that was absolutely the feeling we got. They were transparent, stayed within budget, and did more than I expected without trying to upsell me into something I did not want. I am actually pretty critical when it comes to paying a lot for detailing services, so I do not give this kind of recommendation lightly. In this case, I felt like every dollar was well spent. Rod and his team gave us exactly what we were hoping for, and then some. I would absolutely trust Darring's Detail with our vehicles again. Thank you to Rod and the entire team for making our new-to-us GV70 look like something we could be excited about all over again.

I cannot say enough about Rod and the whole crew. we took our 2026 model Y to have Darrings detail apply PPF to it although they were extremely busy he actually took us in on a Sunday when they were closed treated us like royalty and identified a dent that we completely missed when we took delivery. We notified Tesla and believe it or not, they showed the dent in their pre-delivery photos that they took of the car so after much running around and talking to people, Tesla finally is taken care of it. I had a little frosting on passenger seat, which I knew came off with a damp towel, but decided to have everything done instead of cleaning it myself. Came outside, and tipped $10 because I ignorantly assumed minimal competence. I was wrong. Frosting still on seat and other small smudges on armrest still there. I didn't choose to take it back as I don't trust the company to hire capable workers. This was the LAZIEST work I've seen and at $10/hr... whoever worked on my car would be overpaid.
