The definition of curbside pickup is to walk into a crowded restaurant and be told to pickup my food at the bar. The bar was as crowded as the rest of the place. After a 30 minute wait and being told four times my food would be right out, I left. No one working there had a mask and it was impossible to be socially distanced. By the way, the current order for not more than 50% capacity doesn't mean that all the occupied tables be in the middle of the place. Of the more than 20 places I have gotten takeout in the past three months, this was the worst experience. They obviously are not taking the health of their employees and customers seriously. read more

Tie Breakers is a very noisy sports bar with standard sports bar decor and lots of televisions. The staffing was woefully inadequate for a December Friday evening--that includes bartenders as well as wait staff. Food was inconsistent: my burger was over cooked; the side of onion rings were cold and my wife's catfish bites were perfectly cooked however her side of tater tots showed up at least 20 minutes after the entre. Been going for a few years, Used to eat in and nights out there, buthe past couple years been doing take out because the food is always great.... Service was great the past 2 years, now the past few months every single order I've done take out has been messed up, and/or not ready (sometimes an hour from predicted time) or even never started at all (finding out after arriving 35 minutes later when told would be ready). I'm not sure what has happened in the past couple of months, but I literally have not had an order in the last 10 be without at least one hiccup - Which before that it was the exact opposite, everything was always perfect and above and beyond Double checked. First off, let me start by saying I do not post a negative review after a first time going to a restaurant. Since COVID started, I know the strain on the local markets, specifically a "locally owned restaurant" has been large, so I did my best to support local. I would specifically go to, almost exclusively, Tiebreakers in Greenville and order food once a week, sometimes more, averaging at least over $50 per tab. I also know that if things are slow, a lot of people work on tips so I ALWAYS make sure to tip very well. The takeout service is absolutely horrible. The last 5 times I've been to this place for takeout, I have ordered my food for a time well in advance, usually before busy time and an hour before I was going to pick it up. It seemed no matter how busy or not (when there are only 6 customers in the location), I would be sitting at the pickup area for at least 40 min after my scheduled pickup time. Now for the food. I love this place for their wings mostly, but it seemed every time I would get home, some of the food would be wrong or it would be half missing. Things like ordering 24 wings with sauce on them, and they would forget the sauce. Order bacon cheese tots and get home and I would have plain french fries. Order 24 wings, get home and have 6. Also, I only live 5 min away, and by the time I would get home, everything would be cold as if it was stuck in a fridge for a while. I would call and complain and the manager would apologize, and that would be that. Last night was the straw the broke the camels back. I sat down at 640 PM and had a few drinks at the bar. A friend met me at 7 and we ordered food around 720. I didn't get my food until after 9 PM. And only got half of it. I ordered 12 wings and a burger with tots... not anything complicated. I was told after my friend got his food, and the people who ordered after me had gotten their food, eaten, closed out the tab and left, that my order would be the next ticket! This was at 8:15 PM. The manager offered to take the burger off since that was ice cold, and didn't charge me for the wings I never even got (I would hope he would!!) but he didn't really seem to care that much. They also took off a charge for my last beer, that I ordered at 8:30 but also never got. I have spoken to the owner as well about the to-go service online, and they were apologetic and offered a gift card for the missing food, ect, but that was an empty promise so I guess they really don't care either. Let's just say I won't be ever giving this place business again, and hope you don't as well. The manager should be fired for such poor service and a lack of any empathy. read more

The food is incredible but the environment is obnoxious and skeezy with subpar service. Everything I've tried here has been prepared perfectly. The catfish bites are amazing - the soft and flaky texture of the catfish paired with the crunchy outer breading (similar to boneless chicken wings) is scary good. The southwest spring rolls are also really delicious - nicely fried with a great combination of flavors. I've been here a few times and I have never experienced good service. Last time I was there I also happened to notice, after I finished eating, that their sanitation score is currently 84.5, and that just doesn't sit right with me, so I will not be back for a while. Tie Breakers started out as a pure sports bar / pool hall. It has been transformed into a pretty damn good sports bar & grill. Lot's of space for sitting and there is a TV covering just about every inch of the place. Only draw back would be a limited menu offering, but I've never had anything bad off the menu. read more

Of all the four years I've been here in greenville becaus of college I have got to say, i have finally found the right spot for me. Specifically for drinks and screens. I came here on a whim and have never looked back. Most spots have new bartenders that put way too much alcohol but these are experienced young ladies and they make my drinks delicious with a surprisingly punch that hits you later. The wings are average price for this day and age, fortunately they are meaty and delicious. Next time we request extra crispy is all. This is a great local find...it reminds us a little of Hooters. We keep making the mistake of giving them "one more chance." We met here, we want to be able to come back and celebrate that, but each time, we leave disappointed or angry. When we ask about the drink selection, the answer is always "I don't know" or "we don't have that." This last time there were children and adults that did not work there going in and out of the kitchen. I'm quite certain they aren't trained in food safety, nor was the 5-6 year old that was helping serve and bus tables. It was inappropriate and distracting. The food is okay, but 40 for 2 beers 1 drink and Mozzarella sticks is quite high for cruddy service. We couldn't even get napkins, even after asking. I've been going to Tiebreakers for the better part of 8 years and I've never found a sports bar that I've been more comfortable in. I've found that it's as much fun now that I'm 30 as it was when I was in my early 20s. The staff is great, the drinks are tasty, the "regulars" are all friendly and fun. The food is delicious! The chicken tenders are huge and juicy, the burgers are great and between the Carolina Burger and the Western Burger I can't decide which I love more. The home made chips are always on point and the fried jalapeño bites are surprisingly great. Thursday Trivia is always a blast and has great in house rewards for the winning team. I think one of the best things about Tiebreakers is that I can take my baby in with me for lunch or dinner and it's fine because it's family friendly. Surprised to find this spot, not near... anything. Apparently if you're a gambler, there's a poker night which was quite well attended. I think I've heard people talk about this place, but it's not in the main hub where you can do a bar crawl.
