I enjoyed this place UNTIL this last visit. I asked for 2 of the chicken berry salad on the early menu at $10.49 + .50 for an extra vinegarette for each. The waitress said that the prices had increased and the menu has not been updated to reflect the charge. I asked if they would honor the menu price. She talked with the manager on shift who said yes but continued to charge the regular $13.19 insisting that it was taxes that made the difference. Long story short, I only got one. Manager never came to the front. I was charged $14.65. I asked for the detailed receipt because she only gave me the receipt for the mobile pay. They charged the regular price insisting they would honor the early menu (they didn't). Yes, they really thought I couldn't add. I'm frustrated because the manager clearly didn't keep his or her word about honoring the menu and was insulting my intelligence to say that it was taxes that raised the price from $10.99 to $14.65! read more

First time here. We were greeted quickly and nicely. The waitress was good and attentive. The restaurant is clean and has good seating. As for the food, it was all pretty regular stuff. I believe it's a bit pricey for what you get. The wings weren't wonderful. No diffrent than anyone else. I figured that the pizza looked good on the menu and the price point said it's gotta be great. I'd disagree, it was a middle of the road. Not crispy and the flavor was that of what I could do at home. I will say that their sauce is really good and flavorful. I'm not in Greenville much but it isn't a place I'd visit anytime soon. read more

First was told by the waitress that they couldn't sub onion rings for fries with my meal. I explained I didn't mind an up charge all she could offer sell me a $10 side of onion rings and remove the fries from my plate. I declined and waited on my food. Arrived during a very busy time on a Saturday evening. They had several waiting a large party of about 12 in front of us but we didn't have to wait long. We were seated and given our menus. Our waitress came over and said she would be right back to take our drink order. She returned in what we thought was a reasonable amount of time, but she was very apologetic for our wait. We placed our entire order which came out fairly quickly. We had a flatbread which was about the size of a 1/4 sheet cake pan and tasty, a classic burger which was cooked to perfection, and an Italian bistro sandwich which was also very good. We also ordered an appetizer of bacon cheese fries which was probably my only complaint because it arrived after our food and didn't get eaten because we were all eating our meal while it was hot. read more

HORRIBLE THEE EXPERIENCE IS RIDICULOUSLY HORRIBLE. The waiter gave us an option of sauce on or off. We wanted in on. Asked for napkins plates & sauce. He never came back, we ended up asking another waitress and without delay we received our items. I was visiting a friend in Greenville, NC. We had a late dinner. The place was still pretty full. We sat at the bar and the bartender/waitress was awesome. She was very attentive to everyone. She kept drinks fill d and the food came when wanted. The bathrooms were clean enough for being the end of the evening. The kitchen staff were rocking out to some of there own music which may have been annoying to some but we enjoyed the antics. The food was delicious also. Nothing extra special. First off wanted to say our server was sweet but I ordered the Philly cheese steak egg rolls and they were horrible. I asked if we could replace them with something else on the menu and the manager said "yes! We can absolutely do that for you!" I got salmon instead. Not good either. The To-go order was super cold after I waited at the counter for 15 minutes before anyone even came over to assist me. I walked to the main entrance and waiter told me someone would be over. After getting the order that was cold and a tray full of all drums I asked to remake the order and the manager was very nasty and racist to us and refused to remake order or refund our money, then said we were aggressive and called the police and banned us from the restaurant !!! I WOULD NEVER GO BACK THERE ANYWAY! I will be calling corporate and I will tell everyone I know to not spend your money there. They need new management, customer service training and better attitudes when dealing with the public!!! read more

Came here for takeout after calling in for my family as they were helping me move. My Mom came here after we called in an order for the family. Cheeseburger, Salmon, Chicken Quesadilla Salad and Chicken Tenders Salad. My Mom waited for the food 15 minutes after they said it would be ready. By the time that it got home, the whole order was wrong, missing things and chintzy at best. It was a disappointment: The Salmon had the wrong sides, there was only one dressing for the salads, there was one chicken tender slapped on top of the salad and the salmon portion was tiny. Worst of all I paid a decent amount for this. $40ish bucks. Ever since I have not returned. My family and I frequent the KBJ in Richmond (my baby cousin even works there) and it is normally spot on and worth every penny...but not this place. I brought my family to this establisment for what was supposed to be a special occasion and I couldn't be any more disappointed. My sister called ahead to let them know how many people were coming and whoever she spoke to was rude and hung up on her. When she finally got somebody on the phone she was told they could accommodate us and we had to pay extra gratuity because of the size of our party, but when we got there they claim they couldnt seat us all together yet they still tried to charge us the gratuity they we would have happily paid more than had we been sitting together. How hard is it to put a couple of tables together so a family can sit down and eat. I dont think this would have been a problem at any other restaurant. Then on top of all of that the service was trash! I actually realy liked this spot but after them ruining my special occassion I will never eat there again! read more

I would give 5 stars on the food in general so kudos to the chef/cooks. We had the firecracker shrimp, wings, fries, and Cajun pasta. Everything came out hot and tasteful. The reason for low rating is because the drinks always seemed to be watered down when going here. 3 drinks in and we just decided we had enough juice. My first drink was the classic Rita which was $5 on the menu since it was Monday. My bill however confirmed that was a lie and it was actually $9. I pointed this out to the server and she just said no it's not 5, with no further explanation. The receipt also said house tequila and not top shelf so I was still confused. The mngr came up held my teenage sons phone away from him and began to harass him about the fact we did not leave a tip. Chris the manager told my child we was no longer welcome not to come back. He had no right approaching kid in this rude manner and if he had something to say he should have talked with the adults paying the bill. Also a tip is left when the quality of service pleasant not when you have to physically hunt a waitress on the floor to refill drinks and ask repeatedly for items to be brought to the table or send food back to be correctly prepared. We've been to Kickbacks many times. The food is typical sports bar food. The service has been good and the food has also been good. I like the food hot when it's served and have been very pleased with burgers, steaks or wings whenever we go there. The salads are fresh and love the berries and candied pecans. Really deserves a 1 1/2. The waitress was pretty decent. The food, subpar. The cooks failed to include shrimp in one of the platters they overcooked and the waitress had to get management to handle any issue that require picking up food to taking it back. At first, management offered to cook the shrimp separately after having us wait this making the food cold and then became adamant when we asked for a new plate entirely and that we had been "picking at" the plate we never touched. At the end of the day, service could've been better.... except the waitress, she was good. A well-known food critic got kicked out of this restaurant by John (the manager) this week because the critic refused to pay for old chicken tenders. The chicken tenders appeared to be freezer burned so I understand why he didn't want to pay for them. Most expensive nasty food I've had in a long time. Best part about this restaurant was the ECU game on television and our waitress who was a very sweet young lady. We started with the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls which should've just been called beef and cheese rolls because they clearly didn't consult anyone from Philly on this recipe. There were no onions or peppers in the stuffing and it came with a weird ranch and blue cheese dipping sauce which clearly should've been cheez wiz instead. We order (2) drinks - the "bucket" and the trash can. Appropriate names for where our food will eventually end up. I've seen teacups bigger than this midget size bucket filled with more juice than margarita and the trash can was filled with more ice and Red Bull and very little alcohol. My date ordered the sirloin and bang bang shrimp "combo" and I ordered fried Parmesan garlic wings and grilled honey buffalo wings. His steak was lukewarm when he received it and the no-bang shrimp were covered in what tasted like diabetic thousand island dressing. My garlic parm wings had a cold fry on top when delivered to the table and the sauce tasted like a combination of depressed fries and slimey garlic that had a baby emo chicken . The only highlight if any was the honey bbq sauce on my undercooked grilled wings. When I told the waitress about the weird/terrible food she simply apologized but offered no path to rectify the issue. Then, when we received our $95 bill, the steak was rang up separately from the shrimp as a la carte, not a combo. When we questioned this practice we were told that there was no option to ring up the combo so they always ring it up as two separate dishes. I'm done. I've eaten at many amazing restaurants around the ENC at varying prices but I've never been this offended by paying for a meal I left almost completely on the table. And I love patronizing local business. But it's safe to say we're never returning. read more

Terrible service. I ordered a steak that I literally took took one bite of and I did not like it. The steak was unseasoned, and extremely thin. I the manager, Dale, if he could substitute for something else and he refused and said it was because he, "couldn't serve my food to someone else," DISGUSTING!!! The manager, Dale was attempting to make me pay for something I didn't eat until I told the server I would not be paying for such mess. Then, Dale came back over to the table and told my friend and I to never come back. I was polite with Dale from the beginning to the end of the conversation. Currently sitting at the bar watching the NBA finals. Seems like every time I come here the service is LESS than great. When I sat down I was greeted immediately and asked what would I like. Got a drink menu... ordered a drink. Asked for a food menu later, got my food with no problem. But now here I sit...about 45 minutes later with nothing. She hasn't stopped back by to see if I want another drink, box for my food, or anything. Yet the patrons around me have gotten more rounds atleast twice. Maybe it's because I'm alone and kind of on the quiet side. I don't know. The only reason I'm still here is because I don't believe in dining and dashing and there is still 6:07 left in the game.
