I was iffy about trying this place out with reading the reviews, right across the street from Chase Bank. I decided to walk over and try it out for myself. I'm a fan of pupusa's but a little on the picky side. I tried one of each, and to my surprise I loved them. They had plenty of flavor, plenty of meat and stuffing inside. I normally can put away for, but here I had to and couldn't finish the second of course I added a Baleada - Burrito looking entrée, which is well portion thick tortilla absolutely fabulous. I found another place to hang out. I can see where people say. The woman taking orders has no personality, which I did not experience personally, but watched no smile no greeting just stare at people. Thank goodness, my waitress MICHELLE was a little intimidated by me speaking English, but my Spanish was good enough to have a decent conversation and have a great smile welcome. MICHELLE did great. The others need a little work that aside the food was pretty darn good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I saw no flies. The place was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came before lunch, but that probably helped. I will definitely be back being that it's not too far from one of my projects that's great.

My kids and I love Honduran food. We know all the good spots in Austin , we were excited to try it here. This was my sons and I second time. I love their pupusas. Super good and ooey gooey cheesiness goodness and I absolutely loved their taquitos hondureños. So the pollo con tajadas , was a little different. I've never quite had it like all separate, I'm not sure if y'all get it. Usually , it's all mixed ? I don't know how to explain it. We were a little skeptical but we really liked it. The waitress was super sweet and friendly. Very attentive as well. Can't wait to go back and try the rest

In San Antonio, it's kind of hard to get good Salvadoran food, and out of all the the places I've tried so far this one is my favorite. Don't get me wrong it has its flaws but it gets the job done! Service: Just imagine being in a Taqueria, and I mean a real one and you're there lol! Now I will say this the servers (mainly ladies) are a little short tempered at times but it's not a reflection of terrible service, it's just the way the dining culture is there so make sure to not get offended if your get a little sass. Quality/Taste: So here's why I'm knocking off a star. They used to make some delicious Pupusas but it seems that the quality has gone down a bit. But that bit kinda compromises the authenticity factor for me that had me coming to this place in the first place. But again it's still decent and worth trying out if you're in the area! And also make sure to try the carne asada and longaniza! Price: Its a steal! With $10 you can get a good meal and then some! And it's even better if you go with friends to share different dishes!

Pupusa was just ok nothing more, i will give them a second try. It was my first time trying Hondurian pupusa. They also have a market i found some sweet fruit. Kenep

The pupusas were so good. And the fried banana. Workers were a little aggressive, but it might be the fast paced environment.

It might be less busy now as the construction worker foodies that made up most of their clients have dropped off now. However, coming to their brick and mortar location is more convenient for me as I enjoy having my lunch in an AC environment opposed to outside in the Texas heat. The menu is also expanded which I do like. I went with the Pork Frintanga plate. Pork is very tasty and chewy which is a nice touch to me. Add in the sweet plantain and fried cheese and this dish was definitely a winner. Big change up from the food truck meals of mainly papoose, which are a great food truck item. Service is a bit quiet, due to the language barrier, and their lack of speaking English probably hurts the business for non Spanish customers. For me, it adds some authenticity to the experience.

The food has that homemade, comforting flavor that just wraps you up and says, "you made the right choice today." Every bite tastes like it was made with care--not rushed, not generic. The portions are generous (come hungry), and the vibe is warm and welcoming. It's not about being trendy--it's about being good, and it absolutely is. This is the kind of place you come back to again and again when you want real food that actually satisfies.

While a torta is what people recommended, my mind immediately went to tacos when I saw that option. As you all probably know with me, I'm a sucker for any dish that has the word taco in it. Pivoting to those, I decided on a trio of the Taco Chilango (w/ carnitas), the pastor taco, and the taco gringa. These concoctions are out of this world with the combination of ingredients, tenderness and flavors of the meats, and the consistency of the warm tortilla. The crema on top of these is the perfect final touch. After devouring these, I can only imagine what the torta tastes like! Definitely next time! You'll find this spot when you hear some smooth mexican music blaring combined with the smell of chorizo/carnitas/tortillas emulating from this small shack. I hope to have another assignment near here so I can come back to this spot!

My overall experiences with "triple D" locations is negative. They RARELY blow me away. As a matter of fact, I can probably count on one hand the times I've been impressed. Having said that: This. Place. Is. LEGIT. I'm telling you now - you will not be disappointed if you go a little bit out of your way to try it. This was soooo close to 5-stars, and those reviews don't come easy from me. We had nachos and Al pastor tacos. Everything was fantastic! Neat little joint. Neat little outdoor area. I felt the price was right. My only "negative": location. This place is right by the airport...so although my wife and I had beautiful weather and temperatures to sit outside, airliners made for seriously loud distractions. I kinda felt service was a tad "chilly", but giving the benefit of the doubt here because we walked in at 8:20p when they close at 9p. She was not rude; she was just not overly nice or chatty, which we definitely are. I'm a big fan. Will definitely go back.

However- the service. Dear God. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what, because I really do give people the benefit of the doubt, but it took a few tries to get our order down right, and a few reminders for other things. Never got more water so just had to deal with thirst and things, but luckily the food was good enough I'll give it another try. This comes with pickled veggies and a red tomato salsa. They also bring out chips and salsa in the beginning for free. The food was okay, it needs more flavor. The papusa was bland but the texture was nice. The beef in the chalupa was good, the rest of it was okay. The salsa that came with chips and salsa was the best thing there. I would however, warn you that they overcharge you and they don't speak English. The papusa is 2.59 and they charged me 2.99. Also they charged me 6.99 for the chalupas when they only gave me two and it should have been 5.29. Very unfortunate that they do this to customers. Cheating is not nice.
