Don't expect an ounce of help if what they sell to you and it requires warranty protection. I had a problem with a pump seal and torque converter seal leaking and had the transmission repair done by someone other than Tier One. They will not cover my cost. If you have them ship a transmission you will have to have it towed to them if you have a problem. For me that would have been a ten hour tow bill..... They refused to even talk to the reputable shop I used. read more

BEWARE... This place is the last place you should consider for your transmission needs. I got a $700 quote that turned into $2,270.00 bill. They destroyed two bolts on my exhaust manifold and charged me $1,400.00 to fix their mistake. They didn't call me and tell me about the issue. They just did it. They told me it took 16 hours to fix two broken bolts but said they would only charge me 8 hours at $220.00 per hour. Are you kidding me, 16 hours to drill and tap two bolt holes. Went to a Facebook group for help, got a bunch of dms of people looking to sell me $8k transmissions. Matt and his team reached out called the time out and said," hey, you may not need a new transmission, the code you got could be something super simple. Why don't you bring it in so we can do a diag?" From that point on, as a small business owner in Arizona myself, Tier One received any and all of my transmission business and referrals. I did end up needing a new unit. They worked around my schedule and had my truck in and out within a day. Communication was on point and I am incredibly happy with my decision. very bad experience, my son took his truck to this place since it was recommended to him by a friend, all he needed was a simple job, put in new trans lines since the old one blew out, we drove the truck onto a trailer under its own power, drove it off the trailer under it's own power and I'm sure they drove it from the street into their shop under the truck's own power, after spending over $1700 on 2 lines, and other parts they recommended we finally got the truck back and now it doesn't move at all, the transmission doesn't seem to engage at all and now it's a big heavy expensive paperweight, I called the shop and talked to one of the "experts" and the best I got from them was for us to take the truck back to them and then PAY THEM more money for them to figure out what happened to it, or that maybe once they did the transmission flush the clutch gears may have worn out, are you kidding me?????? what kind of mickey mouse operation tells a customer that after spending a bunch of money and getting their vehicle back without working that now you have to spend more money just to check if they missed something or in his words, check the lines to see if there is any pressure or blockages going thru the lines, didn't even offer to send a tow truck or trailer service after I explained to him that the truck DOESN'T NOT move under it's own power anymore. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP AT ALL, lesson learned, Very expensive lesson, but oh well, back to negative square one, at least before we took it there the damn thing was running and now it's just sitting pretty in my front yard. read more

I had 2 transmissions build by another shop that both had issues with in 200 miles. I took it to matt and come to find out the trans cooler wasnt being cleaned after the other shop installed the transmission. Towed my truck over to tier one diesel and the trans hasnt skipped a beat since. Highly recommend matt and the team at tier one diesel. read more

I have done buisness with many transmissions shops around town, I have a 1000+ hp Cummins build and nobody has ever been able to make this transmission hold more than a couple passes, I spoke with Matt over the phone and I could tell he puts pride into what he does. He told me to take the transmission over and he wanted to take a look and see what everything looks like after I broke a sprag from the old builder. After him going threw and building me his high hp full manual valve body build the truck is night and day difference from the old build.
