Rob is knowledgeable, honest and fair. The only place in N PHX that I will take any of our cars.

He called me from the dealership and said the car presented well, except the oil was only half full. He said he would not test drive the car, fearing he would damage it, and he would contact me with the report later. I was caught off guard. What did he mean half full? I looked up the engine, and it holds 6 1/2 quarts of oil, did it only have 3 1/4 quarts, or was the oil only 1/2 way to full mark on the dipstick? The next day, he emailed me a picture of a one-page report that he had taken with his cell phone that was illegible. I replied back that it was illegible and asked that he scan it and email it to me. On 2-7 I emailed him I needed the report he emailed me back and said he would send it the next day with some photos. Keep in mind, time is of the essence with a prepurchase inspection. I had recently lost out on two other vehicles because someone got them before me. On 2-8 he emailed me that his report is verbal and he would work on the report over the weekend, he did send me some photos. On 2-9 I emailed Bill that I had to make my buying decision w/o his report. It had been 5 days and I was afraid of loosing another car. At this point I had, no contract or invoice, no report, He did not test drive the vehicle which was part of our agreement. What I received for my $250 were some photos and a verbal statement that the car was nice and a verbal warning that the oil was half full. I requested a refund. He replied no refund and suggested I read his yelp profile, that his reports are verbal (this was never stated up front) and sure enough at the end of his profile it states, reports are verbal. I have never heard of such a thing. I do not know anyone who would order a pre purchase inspection and not want a written report. If you want a written report with your prepurchase inspection you need to look elsewhere.

Bill responded quickly and professionally to my request to inspect a car for me in the Phoenix…read morearea. I am from out of state and needed an inspector to qualify this car for me. He was my eyes, ears and nose! Yes, nose! I always have to ask a potential inspector if they smoke, because I need a non-smoker to first smell the car and let me know if it smells of smoke or cologne or air-freshener. If it does, I simply pay them their full fee and thank them for their time and they can go home. If it does not smell, the next step is to take good, clear photos of any flaws they see. Bill did a great job of that. I eventually decided not to buy the car. So why did I pay Bill to inspect a car I later decided not to buy? That is the nature of buying remotely. it would have cost me an entire day and hundreds of dollars to fly to and from Arizona to see it for myself. See my attached pictures. Bill found some issues, and some I found after I zoomed in on his clear pictures. Every once in awhile you can find a car remotely that is just a creampuff. This one was close-ish, but not close enough. I decided to keep shopping, thanks to Bill's advocacy for me.

I first used Revive Auto Care to replace a control arm on my Infiniti QX60. I found them on Yelp, appreciated their positive reviews, and liked that they communicated over text. That repair went well, so when my AC started blowing hot air, I decided to return. They initially charged me $100 for diagnostics and a refrigerant top-off, then told me I needed a new compressor and quoted approximately $1,200. I dropped the vehicle off on Tuesday. By Wednesday and Thursday, they still had not identified the issue, but they continued replacing parts including the compressor, condenser with receiver drier, premium line kit, secondary rear AC expansion valve, blend door actuator, cabin filter, and recharged the AC system. By Friday, the vehicle was still not repaired, and they ultimately determined that the battery was bad and not providing enough amperage to properly run the AC system. They replaced the battery and told me the issue was fixed, which naturally made me question whether all of the previously replaced parts were actually necessary. The total had also increased to approximately $2,500, and at no point during the process was I contacted for approval on the additional repairs and charges. When I picked up the vehicle Friday evening, the AC was still blowing hot air. In addition, the vehicle was revving abnormally both while driving and while sitting in neutral. It is now Tuesday, and my messages have gone unanswered. On Saturday, I brought the vehicle to Infiniti for another opinion. I was told that the AC system had been overcharged by 1.73 lbs of refrigerant, which they said was causing the issues I experienced after picking the car up. I understand that diagnosing AC problems can be difficult and unexpected issues can happen, but the lack of communication, failure to request approval for major additional repairs, and returning the vehicle in worse condition than when it was dropped off made this a very disappointing experience.

So glad I found Revive. I came in needing spark plugs and ignition coils and they took great care…read moreof my car timely and affordably. Everyone was friendly and honest, and I felt safe leaving my car their hands. The whole experience felt easy and stress-free. My car is running great now. Safe to say they revived it.
