I've never posted a negative review before so this is a first for me. Normally I'll try a place and give them three tries. We all are humans, make mistakes, and can improve. Tiffanys lost me after the second visit and drove me to share this review. I walked in for my second visit and noticed that they were moving to a new location. I moved to the counter and a very sweet girl took my order with a smile. I quickly got my sweets, a brownie and a cookie. I would have gotten food and a drink, but based on the signs, they had no drinks to offer. Who wants to eat with no drinks? I didn't mind that though and looked forward to eating my treats. I found a booth and sat down. The brownie was horrible and very obviously old. I could have used to cut some of the famous South Carolina Blue Granite. I saved it and brought it to a friend who bakes. Her best guess is that the sweets are pre-cooked, frozen, and heated up later for the day. I can't confirm that, but I trust her. The cookie was ok and what I expected. Not to die for, but ok. What happened next was what made me write this review. A group of three employees, who I later learned from their conversations, are the owner, manager, and an employee whos title I don't know, showed up. They sat in the dinning area and started to bad mouth every employee. They were talking so loud that I could hear them a few booths away. The things they should shouldn't be repeated and I had half a mind to say something. Totally unprofessional. They weren't talking about me but I still felt uncomfortable for the employees. Then, one of them got up and started to yell, yes yell, at another employee. I honestly felt like I was watching a trash tv show on MTV. I immediately got up and left. In conclusion, Tiffanys Bakery doesn't live up to the name. It should be more like Breakfast with Jerry Springer. The bakery is moving and their only priority is that and it shows. The management would rather blame than train employees and would rather call them names than do whats right. I for one, will NOT be revisiting this place, even in the new bakery. I can make frozen brownies at home and watch Jerry Springer if I want. At least the curse words would bleeped out. read more

This is one of my favorite places. They did an excellent job with our Christmas cake. I love their cookies, petite fours and pastries. The new location is very nice. I love the new bar area and dining area. They have a really good lunch menu. read more

I was looking forward to purchasing some chicken salad this afternoon. Fortunately, that did not happen. The small containers in the take-out case did not look fresh. And I was not allowed to order a takeout meal at 4:10 PM because they didn't start serving dinner until 4:30. Every employee that was standing behind the counter was doing nothing. But I guess it was too inconvenient to put together a to go order of chicken salad that was surely already prepared. That being said, we left and went to another restaurant and had the best meal. Tiffany's is my family's birthday celebration go-to bakery. I'm not kidding. For every birthday we either get a box of goodies or my favorite, the vanilla and chocolate cake (1 layer of each) with buttercream and chocolate ganache. Had a great Ruben sandwich with fries, my friend had it with a delicious side salad. The plate presentation was good. Service was quick, staff was friendly and prices are reasonable! This is a counter service spot. I came with a group of ten for my coworker's retirement party, and at first glance, the exterior leaves more to be desired. Walking in, there's a cafe/bakery to the right, and seating to the left. You have to walk past the baked goods counter to order from the cafe, and the food pick-up counter is further down. I just got a loaded potato soup, which was pretty good. Just what I needed but nothing to write home about. My co-workers ordered burgers, sandwiches, and a few desserts, which they also enjoyed. The food's not mind-blowingly delicious, but this place is close to work and reasonably priced for lunch. Counter service was friendly, and tables were clean. read more

Lunch @Tiffany's!!! I I had the day's special which was the Quiche Turkey Philly with a small pasta salad and a small fruit salad. I had no idea what I was ordering but it turned out really good! The downside is the portion was smaller than I expected. But I guess that's a good thing because it was so good that I would have finished it no matter the portion size. The side pasta was a little too sweet for me. It tasted more like a dessert than a side. The personal cheesecake was just right. The sweetness good for my taste and it wasn't too sticky. My wife said she didn't like the cheesecake though. My wife had the Greek grilled chicken salad. She said it was satisfying and the taco bowl was nice and crunchy. The place had really homey, down to earth feel to eat.They were playing oldies songs and just the right amount of volume. They also have a mass variety of desserts! I'll definitely come back. Really good ham and cheese croissants served here, best when fresh. I have tried several different cupcakes and deserts and they have hit the mark. People behind the counter today were really friendly and quick to point out the best items in the case. Parking here is never a problem but when leaving onto Two Notch it can be a pain getting out of here. After you have breakfast here stroll over to The German Meat Market next door for some brats. read more

I have had coworkers bring in stuff from here but I had never been to this place of happiness. The serve food and it is great but who cares because we are really here for the deserts right? It was so hard to choose just one so we all picked one and shared. I don't even know what the other two deserts were but I was magically transported to a happy unicorn filled world where there was no pain when I took a bite. Usually they have little flowers on top, but they can also, be seasonally decorated. They're great for parties if you don't want to serve an entire cake or pie. Love them! read more

Oh my goodness... best cakes and petit fours ever. The cakes are consistently moist and delicious. I'm not a fan of icing, but their butter cream is heavenly- melts in your mouth and it's flavorful. The new location is great! I've loved their petit fours for years, but tried some new things to mix things up with some family. The lemon pound cake was super moist and ssellicious. The thumbprint cookies were really dry and bland; there seemed to be too little icing. The cookie we got, with both chocolate and vanilla icing, had a cake texture and was also dry. Great hospitality. Great food. They will be moving early next year so the actual location will change but hopefully everything else remains. I had the Tiffany omelet, probably the best omelet I have ever had, my co worker ordered the slam bam breakfast and the French toast were awesome! I wish I could stay to try everything. As a Business owner myself the one thing that is near and dear to my heart is customer service. This morning, as I entered into this beautiful establishment the expected Warm Greeting wasn't felt, hell it wasn't even heard. This was my first time here for breakfast so I had no idea how the seating/ordering worked. I had to ask which side was open, they pointed to the left so I went had a seat. Then one of the young ladies said to me: "you must come up to the counter to place your order" in an attitude amplified voice like I should've known this.............. My advise has always been if you are having a bad day leave it at home until you return. The Food was great and I will return but hopefully to a much better welcome and experience. read more

The place has amazing cakes, and walking inside all the sweets are gorgeous and tempting even though there are no prices online or posted anywhere in the display or menu...But they mostly look better than they taste. For example, the cheesecake topping is fantastic, but the cheesecake itself has no taste. The cupcakes were dry and the icing just sugar. Could not finish. The pecan slice was good. Cream cheese brownies are amazing. Cherry danish is delicious. I love fruit tarts and got one of these. It was very disappointing. The crust is supposed to be thin and crispy, but this tart is more like cake with custard and fruit on top. It is not a traditional fruit tart. 10 stars for Tiffany's. There were 3 customers in line at the lunch counter and then 4 or 5 looking at the pastry/sweets display when I walked in there today. I stopped in hoping to get a 6 inch Birthday Cake and 18 petit(e) fours on the spot after deciding to surprise my son at school, The two young girls at the front had me (and everyone before me) out of there in 20 minutes. I do have to say I've had slower service in recent times past, but I've seen a few new faces in there. Great improvements, if you ask me. It's bittersweet for our family of LONG TIME customers to hear that they are so close to moving to the new location down the road. *Tip: Don't leave there without a "chewey" or a dog bone for your big dogs at home. read more

The concept is great but the organization of the restaurant is awful. You have to stand in line to order then find a table and wait forever for someone to walk around with your food looking for your number. If you want a drink you have to go on the other side to order there as well. Perhaps hire wait staff, seat people and take orders. Leave the lines and numbers for carry out. Perhaps visit Kaminsky or Nona's to see a good system. I was hoping that a new neighborhood would save us from going downtown, but I guess not. read more

The new location is very convenient and the building is attractive. However, I'm a little confused about the set up. I don't really understand the reasoning behind the separate "community room" that serves alcohol, that the restaurant portion closes at certain times of the day, and the counter service. Very slow... poor customer service... food was good (but can you mess up pancakes?). Took 45+ minutes to be served breakfast. We won't return. We ordered breakfast including coffee; the coffee carafe was empty and I told the cashier. 20 minutes later still no coffee. I reminded the cashier... Finally half way through our breakfast I reminded the cashier again and they got some coffee and it was so crazy strong it was undrinkable. Our food tasted good but we waited 30+ minutes for it. I purchased 4 cupcakes and a birthday cake from here. The cake was absolutely delicious and everyone enjoyed it, especially my kid. My only complaint is that the cake was way overpriced. And the cake did not look worth that much honestly. This was my first and last time frequenting this place!! Pastries tasted good , very expensive for the tiny cupcake you receive .However my problem was the snarky comment the older lady made about my son who is speech delayed and 3 about the signs which says no kids allowed to sitting/play on the shelf... I saw the many tacky labels on the bottom shelf stating this. All he did was touch the wrapper of the cake on the outside with excitement- if you don't want anyone to touch them don't place them near the floor in arms reach) obviously this is an issue or all the labels would not be there... I would never let my child stand on the shelf or act up in a restaurant , just left a bad taste in my mouth regarding customer service felt like children were not welcome and he did not do anything !! When you catch Tiffany's on a good day, they are SOOO good. However, there's no telling which are the good days. When they're on, the food is delicious, the sandwiches are well made and fresh and the baked goods are just lovely. If it's any other day, you'll be very underwhelmed. The first time I had lunch there, I had their roast beef sandwich with horseradish mayo and cheddar on a chewy roll. It was downright tasty. Good enough that I've gone back twice to try and have it again. It's never been anywhere near as good since. Once it was slathered in horseradish and so hot I could hardly eat it. The other time the roast beef was virtually non-existent. I swear, there are two shreds of meat on the sandwich. It was so disappointing and I haven't tried again. I will stop in sometimes for their baked goods though. Be aware, though, that they don't tell you what has nuts in it and when I asked what kind of nuts were in their chocolate chewy cookies, they told me it was one kind and it was actually a different nut. Not a big deal unless you're like me and allergic only to specific nuts. I really wish I could have eaten them, since the one bite I did have was delicious - it was like eating just the cracked goodness on the top of a brownie. This review has become more negative than I expected when I started writing. I thought I had mixed feelings leaning towards the positive but when you string it all together like this... well, I just don't know.
