We were very happy with the service and the professionalism of Steve, who fixed our dishwasher. He was tidy with his work...even while handling our water full dishwasher. My husband thought the counter top might have to be raised to get the dishwasher out but Steve was prepared and managed to get it out with little trouble. I called GE for warranty repair of my dishwasher, oven and refrigerator. They sent Tiger Mechanical to do the work. The tech was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. He said that he would order the required parts and that the parts would be shipped to me. After the parts arrived I received a call from someone at Tiger Mechanical telling me that I had received the parts (which I did). Then she asked me what parts I received. I then asked her how I was supposed to know what parts I received. Didn't she know what parts were ordered and shipped? The tech came back out to install the parts. When he was done the refrigerator problem was not fixed. Barely any water was being dispensed from the door. The tech told me that he could not fix it and suggested that I purchase a bypass filter to see if that would work. I pointed out that the refrigerator was supposed to work properly with a filter and should not require a bypass filter. When I called the office they refused to do anything more to try to fix the problem. Tiger Mechanical's attitude seems to be: We can't fix it and we are not going to try. So grateful for Tiger Mechanical. Our fridge went out and my home warranty company could not find anyone to fix our fridge asap. We contacted Tiger Mechanical and they had someone out that day. With all of the food concerns lately our fridge was packed full and we did not have another option to easily save all that food. The main board on our fridge had gone out and they had parts readily available on their truck. I know this is not common with all appliances but they try to be ready for situations they come across frequently. Very professional, very courteous of all concerns with COVID19. They explained everything to make sure we felt comfortable with the whole process and having someone in our home during this crazy time. Very disappointed. They came out and evaluated our malfunctioning refrigerator and then took over a week to get us a quote. I had to ask them three times for the quote. Then our insurance called them multiple times to get an authorization and it took three tries to reach anyone. Finally we got the OK to move forward and then Tiger asked us to pay half the cost of repairs UP FRONT before parts had been ordered or a repair date was scheduled. I have never been asked to pay up front for a home repair service. Definitely NOT going to use this company!! read more

Our refrigerator was making a horrible noise, so we called the warranty company who in sent us Tiger Mechanical, and We were able to be seen the next day. Eddie, one of Tigers Servicemen, came to our home, heard the noise and knew exactly what part was causing it and where it was coming from. Eddie was professional, punctual, polite, and personable. We called Tiger Mechanical to repair our ice maker. Turned out we needed a new one at a cost of $700. We waited three days for it to be ordered and received. Last Thursday the Tiger Mechanical employee came and installed the ice maker.Friday morning the ice maker was working. It made one big block of ice in our ice tray, no ice cubes. We called Tiger, they were supposed to call us back today, Monday. They did not. We called them again this afternoon, Monday. They are too busy to send someone out until next Friday! We have to wait with no ice cubes until Friday. That is eight days without the use of an ice maker we paid $700 for. They are too busy to correct their faulty installation. Tiger Mechanical arrived at our home on time. No personality, not even a hello. No problem, maybe he can fix our ice maker? Tells us "it could be the filter the water pressure is low, could be the ice maker it has hard water deposits & corrosion". He does not have a replacement ice maker, or filter to fix it, says it will be a couple days and $411.00. I say I'll think about it at that price. My ice maker through Amazon was $69.00 and 3 screws to install. I say we have a fridge in the garage that ice output has declined could he look at it since he's here, his reply, "For another $129". He goes with me to the garage says maybe you need to turn the temp down. He does & leaves. We now have 36 cans of exploded soda & beer. Bottom Line: $129 to blow up 36 cans of beer & soda. Tiger Mechanical has been to our house twice. We bought a Viking dishwasher and It didn't work! Tiger came out (Tom, the owner), and was fantastic! As he was laying on my kitchen floor (I kept offering him a pillow...it looked so uncomfortable!), he was SUPER fast and very efficient! He's done this for so many years. I would just like to say that your tech was a super nice guy but I am SO DISAPPOINTED in your pricing. $800+ to replace the compressor for my LG refrigerator is just CRAZY, I've already found a local tech for $425 for parts and labor to replace the compressor and in googling found that's pretty much the standard rate. I feel like your company didn't want to do the job and instead just gather the $99 service call fee and then give a price so high that no one in their right mind would pay it. When questioned about the labor pricing I was told that there were additional items needed, a refrigerant port ($9), freon ($20), and supplies for the torch ($20 for a complete torch). I offered $500 due to what I have seen both online and now in calling other techs but it was refused. I will be making sure to let others know so that they stay far away from your company. Edit: since I can't reply to the owner's reply, I'll update here. GE/Haier state that as part of their contract with their certified repair companies, they are given access to the company's schedules. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to schedule appointments. Yes, I did have a similar experience with another company and spent an hour on the phone with GE to try and figure out how to actually get a technician out here after having this happen twice. She was almost as frustrated as I was with how things were going. I asked her why this kept happening, and to be honest I expected her to say something like their scheduling program was having issues, but instead she told me what I stated below... that Tiger had their own customers (meaning, non GE warranty customers) that took precedence. At this point this is just going to be "he said, she said", but this was my exact experience with Tiger and this is why I wrote the review. __________________________ After a different company (scheduled through my Haier Refrigerator warranty) no-called, no-showed, Haier scheduled me through Tiger instead. I had an appointment scheduled between 8 and 12 for Thursday, Aug 23 and they were also a no-call, no-show. When Haier/GE called them to find out why they didn't show up, they said that basically they didn't want to; that they had their own customers (because I guess I am not considered a customer?) to service first. They could try to schedule me 3 weeks from now, but why would I bother with that when they already no-called, no-showed, and they already told me that they do not value me as a customer. Haier has access to all their certified company's schedules as part of their agreement, but I guess they don't really care when they are scheduled. Wow! Bought a brand new fridgidaire and it wouldn't cool. Called manufacturer and they set me up with these guys. First problem is I can't understand anyone who works there. Second problem is they went to the wrong address. Then they said they can't get back out for two weeks. I tried to explain what was the issue and his reply is " I just going to replace it" and started work. I was speaking to my countertop guy and he said he likes the fridge, the tech said I wouldn't own one. WTF?? Then advised with his back to me walking out of my house the he has the wrong part and since it comes from China it'll take a long tome and we will call you. I called Tiger Mechanical the first week in Dec. '20 to inspect and repair a Bertazoni oven, for a client. Technician Tom told me they needed to order part, so I gave deposit. and was scheduled the following week for repair. An hour later I was notified that the part was back ordered, and they should recieve Dec. 20th, then it was Jan 19th, then Feb. 20th, then March 20, then possibly Apr. 20th. So I said I want my 200 deposit back that they had for 4 months, and I was told I would have to pay a 129.99 service call fee. Asked for invoice and never received one. I then contacted my regular appliance company, Manny's Appliances, and he had the part and oven repaired in a week.. Tom and Eddy came out for a big job of repairing a built in freezer and reinstalling both fridge and freezer. It was a task that others were not up for. Tom called around to find the parts that were needed and after months of being without a functioning freezer, they repaired it. They did the job right and also gave me recommendations for other appliances in my hornet kitchen. I'm so glad that they were able to finish the job on time and on budget. read more

Our dryer started emitting a screeching sound last weekend. I called Spencer's (where purchased) they said their service department was booked solid so try Tiger Mechanical. Contacted them via VM on Sunday the 22nd - they called Monday the 23rd - appointment set for Thursday the 26th between 8AM to 1 PM. Technician called about 10AM said 30 min away arrived in about 10. He diagnosed the dryers problem, gave us a fixed quote for the work (we accepted) and within about 30 +/- minutes the dryer was repaired and good as new. We live on a cul-de-sac and the technician initially parked on the street adjacent to our home because he did not want to inconvenience any of our neighbors with his service truck - that's courtesy. He was efficient, friendly, clean and thanked us for allowing his company to service our dryer. We have a home warranty, but choose to use a recommended company because the home warranty co often sends out the low price bidder and the appointment is too far out to be meaningful. While the price we paid was in excess of our home warranty deductible, the trade off was a prompt repair by a quality company and the satisfaction of money well spent, plus the repair came with a warranty of 5 years for the part and 1 year for the labor - nothing we have ever gotten from the repair people the home warranty co sends out. What I LOVED was that he was so professional, friendly and funny (always a nice benefit) and diagnosed quickly, and luckily it was a quick fix so we saved money too! Bought all Monogram appliances for our new home.. wouldn't recommend that to anyone by the way... but we had been having a noise problem with our new refrigerator a random loud noise that kept getting worse and worse. Called Monograms supposed repair department exclusively for Monogram users. They sent a repairman out and of coarse at that particular moment it wasn't making the noise. I did have a recording and video showing where the noise was coming from and that when we opened the refrigerator door the noise would stop. The serviceman said without the noise there was nothing he could do. Again the noise seemed to be getting even worse. And again they sent a serviceman out. No noise when here again. So we decided to keep calling third time an outstanding service representative from TIGER MECHANICAL was sent out and as fate would have it no noise. The tech asked us a few questions and we gave same info as we had several times before with the Monogram tech. He indicated that he believed it was a fan in back. He ordered the fan and 2 weeks later came to install it. When installing it he noticed more than usual condensation above the ice machine. After tearing into another area he found a valve that was improperly installed. He turned the valve 90 degrees and said that this was the cause of our problems. Eddy the service tech was amazing! TIGER MECHANICAL has been involved in one other repair on my Microwave also and was efficient as well! The staff and technicians here are so much more efficient than the Monograms I would recommend you not even waste your time. The appointments are confirmed and then reminders sent by Kaneesha another outstanding support individual. Nice to have such competent service in today's world! I am so HAPPY with Tiger Mechanical. First time I called I spoke with Barb in the office. She was nice and efficient. Scheduled an appointment. She called 30 minutes before they arrived. They came in assessed the problem, ordered the parts, said they would call as soon as the parts came in. Barb called to let me know the parts were in and to schedule service. Every time Tom has been here he has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Checking all of my appliances to make sure they are all working. Even noticed that the board on my microwave was going bad. Don't waste your time...they may schedule an appointment but will show up whenever it suits them. I had an afternoon appointment (which they scheduled and sent me a confirmation email) but the technician showed up in the morning when no one was home. When I called the office to get them to honor the time they agreed to, I was then told they never work in my area in the afternoon...then the lovely office gal hung up on me. Had these guys out to fix an ice maker issue in a Samsung fridge/freezer. Tech was professional and worked at dejamming the ice and releasing the door. Took nearly an hour to complete the work using a steamer and other tools I do not have access to making it well worth the service call price. Tech cleaned up and left me with a working configuration (ice is disabled in freezer) and an option to have them come back with a new ice maker and push the service call price onto a full fix. read more

Just recently had Tiger Mechanical come out to my Dads place. He had a cooling problem on his side by side refrigerator. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away. They gave a time they would be there (between 4pm-7pm) and they kept their word. There was an $89.00 service call fee to come and diagnose and to give a estimate. If you choose to have them do the work the service call fee goes toward your repair. The total came to $425.00 and I believe they changed the control panel. The control panel controls the motor for fan and defroster I believe. And the evaporator coil was frozen over so no air was getting to the fridge side. All in all my Dad thought the service person was courteous and polite and had a fair estimate. read more

Beware of the Tiger! My icemaker in my refrigerator needed to be replaced. When I requested the service call I gave the model number of my Kenmore refrigerator and Barb said she could hear the familiar grinding noise when I held the phone close. Total cost $323 for a part I can purchase from a store within 5 miles for $95, retail. Without the wholesale discount Tiger gets, there is a difference of at least $228 for a job that took less than one hour to complete. read more

Technician Andy came out to work on my GE dishwasher as part of my Lowe's extended warranty plan. He arrived within the appointment timeframe, was polite, professionally dressed and equipped with appropriate tools. He fixed the original issue, and spent some additional time checking to see if it had caused any other problems. Although I am pretty vigilant about preventive maintenance on my appliances, I learned a few new tips and tricks. I would definitely call Tiger again for any other appliance problems. read more

I found Tiger Mechanical on the Thermador website as a company to use for repair of my Thermador refridgerator. I called on a Friday morning and the earliest appointment I could get was the following Tuesday with a 5 hour window. I requested a call for about an hour prior to my stop so I could leave work in plenty of time. The office called me when he arrived at the stop before mine and I said I would be home by 1:30. She said perfect. At 1:15 I was almost home and the tech called me asking to verify my address as there was no one answering my door. I explained i was almost there. The tech came into my home u explained how the freezer had been behaving (fluctuating temperature - at times in the low 20s.) He took off the too front cover and looked at my coils and said that is your problem all it needs is to be cleaned. He then proceeded to tell me that it would be $170 on top of the $109 diagnostic fee. I told him that was not my understanding at all and the $109 was to go toward any repair that was done. He said he would call the office. They told him to clean the coils and it would be $140. I knew I could have cleaned those coils but I wanted to see it done by a "professional". After he vacuumed the coils he turned the fridge back on and said hmmm that doesn't sound good. I suggest you leave it off for and hour and then turn it back on. His last advice is that I would need a new compressor in 6 months. Asked him the approximate price and he said about $1400 and he would have someone from the office call me with a quote. No one has called. Turned the fridge on an hour later and a couple hours later the freezer was back to zero. I thought all was ok. The next morning I checked the temperature and it was way worse. The freezer was at 30 and the refridgerator side was close to 40. So now it was worse and the day before Thanksgiving! I had to work and I wasn't going to call these people again for sure. So once in the office I started searching for a Thermador repair company and after a couple of no availability I came across a website called Serviz. Similar site like homeadvisor and myguy. They guaranteed same day service. I called them and they gave me 2 hour window of arrival, $49 diagnotic fee that goes toward the repair. They gave me my requested 45 minute advance notice and arrived at my right at the same time I did. Once again I explained what was going on and what the other tech had done. First thing they said was you need to get your money back. That made me laugh. These 2 guys took off the front cover and the compressor cover. Used some sort of diagnotic meter which was indicating that I needed a new compressor and they told me they could do something to keep it working until the new compressor came in. They replaced a relay and the temperature has remained stable ever since they left. I was charged zero money for that call and they will be putting in a new compressor this week at a much lower cost. I thought that Tiger Mechanical would be a much better company as they were recommended by Thermador. Not the case what so ever. read more
