I'd rather drive the extra 15mins and go to their other location :( Let's start with the positives! This restaurant is only a few months old and is super clean! They even have a best decor award hanging up near the restrooms! We went for taco Tuesday so the line was fairly long but it moved quickly. The highlight of our whole experience was Misty who took our long and complicated order. She was funny and engaging which to me is the perfect person to have up front! Although they were busy it didn't take long for all of us to get our food. Unfortunately, those were all the positives. We frequent their other Apopka/Altamonte location so this is all in comparison to what we are used to. First of all, everyone's food was room temperature (not hot but also not cold) Typically we have to wait for our food to cool down because it's always piping hot. Next the portion sizes were slim. Like diet sized portions kind of slim! There was barely any meat in our tacos. We had a party of 7 people and after we left we all said the same thing "what's for dinner?" The worst thing in the world is to leave a restaurant hungry!!! Anytime we have ever ate at any other Tijuana flats we always left full and even had leftovers! This location definitely let me down today BUT I will still go to their Altamonte locations! read more

I was very disappointed by this restaurant. I had visited their location in Clearwater many of times but this location seems to have failed to meet the mark. Cold food poorly prepared flavorless. Next time I'll stick with Taco Bell read more

Check your online orders before you leave! My online orders have been consistently incorrect...if they even bother to make it at all. One time it took nearly an hour from the time I placed an for one salad order to actually receive it. Another time, I had to make a second trip to correct an order that specified no cheese, which after I got home found that it did have cheese and could not be eaten by the lactose intolerant person it was for. I would have been better off driving to the other, farther location after all the time I wasted driving there twice. There has never been any remorse or concern about the constant mistakes made by the staff, which is composed mostly of teenagers and young adults who so clearly would rather be elsewhere. I will definitely avoid going here in the future. read more

I'm giving this location 2 stars for its food... ordered the biggest nachos they had was literally nothing but lettuce salsa fresh jalapeños maybe a teaspoon of Guacamole and a teaspoon of sour cream, all the meat that was on my nachos I could've fit in the palm of my hand. Reason why this location is getting 3 stars is because of the nice outdoor seating they have. I would only recommend going on taco Tuesdays. read more

(7/2/2017) After a failed attempt to get tacos at the divey supermercado up the street, caved in to get tacos at the chain place. It did start off in Winter Park as the brainchild of a UCF grad though, but now has over 100 locations in 6 states. Luckily for starving us, there was one in the deserted edge of Apopka. It was mid-afternoon (post-lunch, pre-dinner times) so it was pretty empty inside. It's counter order and seat yourself, but they do bring you the food and clean up after you. The menu is your standard stoner's faves of Tex-Mex. We got a Chimichanga with Chipotle Chicken, wet with Chipotle Sauce (made it a meal with rice and refried beans) and Baja Crispy Fish Tacos (slightly fancier version). The chimi was chock full of creamy chicken, came with the garnish on the side, it was a protein bomb. Chipotle sauce was mild, and not that wet. The fish tacos were steamed corn tortillas with 3 cornmeal crusted, half-inch thick, deep-fried fingers of a mild white fish, possible 2 oz. in all. They were garnished with a finely shredded fresh cabbage slaw and a tangy, creamy, citrus dressing, and lots of fresh cilantro. We did love the fresh garnishes and the Hot Bar definitely spiced things up. Staff were very friendly. BONUS: Negro Modelo bottles available to go with your tacos. read more

It's one thing when a business messes up but it's a totally different thing when they don't care. Despite their Yelp reply, this business never contacted me nor provided me with contact info. There is a Chili's just down the road that provides superior service, food, and atmosphere. Update; received a call from a manager today (12/26/2016). I reviewed my concerns and the manager said; "Thank you, we will use your suggestions to improve our services". He did not address any of the concerns directly nor offer any kind of restitution for the overcharges. My review stands at 1 star; lots of problems compounded by ineffective management. Consider Taco Bell or Chilis just down the road for a positive experience. read more

The service is amazing for just opening their doors. All of the servers are quick and keeps your drinks filled. My food came out very quick and they moved the line very quickly even there is was very busy. Will def be back soon! read more

This Tijuana flats is probably the lowest in the totem pole in the area. I would recommend the hunt club, or the longwood t flats instead. I ordered 5 burritos one time and all the sour cream smelled off. Another time I went ordered a burrito and for the first time ever it was not grilled. And then the burrito fell apart because it was not wrapped properly. Also the Nachos were the saltiest nachos I've ever had out of the hundreds of times I've been to Tijuana Flats. So word to the wise go to Tijuana Flats and enjoy, just not this location. read more

Wanted to try it once . . . And that's it. The salad was a good amount of lettuce but was missing everything else. There were trace amounts of cheese, tomato, and the chicken was scant. The little cup that the extra jalapeño's came in would have held all of the chicken. Chalk this up to never again. read more

Today we had placed a carry out order during lunch. They were moderately busy. There was a problem and I thought I would have to give a bad review, but George, the manager, more than made up for the inconvenience! So I am happy to say, I would highly recommend this location for above and beyond customer service. Sometimes problems are a problem because people are new and don't know the ropes yet. It is great to have such a pleasant patio spot in Apopka. I really enjoyed going there when it opened, service was over the top. Recently, however, customer service is lacking. No one comes to check on us or offers refills. I also never receive a receipt showing what I am paying for...I typically ask for sour cream to replace the queso on my order, but have found they are charging for it! Perfect location and always busy, despite the crowds, they are always on top of service. The line is constantly moving to order and when it is out the door they fill drinks and offer chip samples. Always coming around to refill drinks and ask if they can get you anything. Only thing is it so busy and they are so on top of it there is often a line for a table! This FAST FOOD restaurant has its pros and cons. The inside of the store would be dirty. Floors weren't always cleaned. The Minute Maid Lemonade machines wasn't clean like it should DAILY. The red basket the guest received there food on was not clean and sani the correct way. Sometimes our manager and ast. manager would just tell us girls to wipe the food with just a napkin. The Sani towel they make the girls use the same towel to clean up for days to wipe the table chairs down where the guest would eat at. The HOT SAUCE BAR pumps aren't cleaned and took apart like they should every day. The co-workers that worked in the back of the store the prep cookers the manager would allow older men mess with the younger girl that where minors. The store manger having and affair with a girl in another store. The ast. manager in that store had a relationship with one of the girls as well. Also the managers allowed there employees who worked in the back as a cook would come in high under the influence not level headed. The food experience sucks and the service sucks. It was fun working there when the store first opened being a brand new store. But honestly it was a joke and a big disappointment. A lot of my friends and friends from business I knew came to the store and most would say this place sucked and wouldn't ever want to come back to Tijuana Flats again. And last but not least if your interested applying for this company to work for. Don't waist your time. They pay the minimum of 6.35 and the shift your work with FIVE other girls you split tips (SHARE). You don't keep any personal tips. I wouldn't go there ever again and I sure wouldn't allow my daughter to work for Tijuana Flats. And last but not least the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. Have to get up for Refills on your drink. What the heck happened? I've been eating here since it opened a short few months ago and it has been steadily getting worse. We went yesterday eve (at the time it used to be very busy) only six patrons. The staff was friendly but the food was room temp at best. Sent it back and made 2 fresh orders...NO difference at all. No manager came by, the server apologized but nobody really cared. The staff appeared to be of high school age. I did not see one person that looked old enough to serve alcohol. We will not be going back to this location. It is going down the path of typical Apopka sit down restaurants!! Someday soon you'll say what happened to that Tijuana Flats that used to be there!! read more

This place or location is horrible. I've eaten in and done take out and both have been very bad. Do yourself a favor and just go to Taco Bell up the street!!!
