Great service. Fair food. Having lived in California and traveled throughout Mexico, I have to say this is not a good example of Mexican food. It is okay. The hot sauces were good - that is if you could get them out if the near empty containers. I had what may possibly be the best chimichanga I've ever had from any Tijuana Flats. It was superb. The food came out fast, hot, and delicious. Their service was great...the girls who work there made constant rounds checking on drinks and seeing how we were doing, even on the front patio area. For a quick lunch, it was perfect. read more

The first thing that caught my attention was the name. I am from California and I have eaten in Tijuana, so I rushed in to try their food as soon as I saw the sign! The guacamole and chips were delicious! However, the steak and bean taco was rather bland. I have eaten typical Mexican food and this is not it. I do have to say that the customer service is aaamazing! And let's not forget about that salsa bar! Perhaps it was a busy day, I will give it a shot next week. I have been a lover of Tijuana Flats ever since I moved to Daytona Beach. Service is always great, food is even better, and then today happened. We were called up to the counter and then as soon as we move up, the cashier just stared at us. No hello, no "how can I help you" or "what can I get for you", not even a smile. I don't even care if you smile at me, but if you can't say hello then why are you working as a cashier? Second, we sit outside because there's no room inside. We and 3 other tables end up outside, and the first person to check outside is a manager in a black polo shirt. He asks the other two tables how they're doing, if they need drink refills, etc. and then when he passes our table just gives us a thumbs up? Then, the next server to come by checks on the other two tables, and doesn't even bother to look at us or offer us a drink or anything, like we weren't even there. I'm a food service worker myself, before coming here I had literally just spent 7 hours on my feet greeting people and saying hello and being friendly like food service workers should be, and then I come to spend $20 on a meal after my shift and I get treated like I'm not even there? Tons of sauces to choose from! I didn't try the Ghost Pepper sauces, I chickened out! Service was pretty fast. The only issue is they don't have the soda machine where we can fill up our own drinks! We were riding at Biketoberfest and we were pretty parched. After the 3rd time filling up our cups they gave us the big cups for free! Food was great, service was good.
