Omg the employees are so nice here! Absolutely loved my visit. Also the restaurant was super clean and everyone was on it! I loved my food! I had the banging chicken tacos and I'm obsessed. I loved how spicy they were after adding my favorite hot sauce. The tacos were huge and super filling! I also tried the corn salsa for the first time and was obsessed.

When we first walked in, one of the doors is broken... and there was water all over the floor. The place was packed so we grabbed one of the open tables so that we could sit down while someone ordered the food. We have ate at Tijuana Flats before so I was familiar with the food but not this location. We got in line and ordered our food, the line actually went super quick. Those workers know exactly what they are doing. They are extremely efficient. Our food actually came out a lot quicker than I thought it was. It was all correct. That street corn bowl, steak, it is a special they have going on... It is the bomb. I highly recommend it. I definitely had reservations when we first got here but this restaurant is great. The staff was turning out orders so quick, there were so many people eating inside and having to go orders. I only knock off the one star for the water being all over the floor, I'm not really sure what happened... I don't know if the ceiling was leaking, obviously things like that are out of their control. The staff here definitely deserve a kudos because they were going around asking if anyone needed refills, trash was getting picked up as soon as people were done, tables were getting cleaned off as soon as the people left, and orders were being picked up left and right.

Tijuana Flats is great! The food is good, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very inviting. I recommend the burrito and the queso. Go check these guys out!

We really looked forward to this Tijuana Flats when we moved to Cocoa as we are frequent customers back in Orlando and what a let down. The food is great without a doubt (hence the one star) but the service is never good. We've come on a few occasions now and it's always the same. There is one cashier in particular that has brown hair who is just so unfriendly. She ruins my mood everytime I come here. On various occasions she has proven to lack customer service skills or general kindness. On one occasion I actually spoke to her manager because it made me uncomfortable how she snapped at a coworker and spoke to me. One of our favorite attributes about Tijuana is the atmosphere and cool/ friendly staff.... it's just not like that here. No one has offered to refill our drinks the numerous times we came. With all the awesome Mexican restaurants and another Tijuana Flats just a little further I think we will look elsewhere. I also think it's important to mention that parking is atrocious here. Just not a smart configuration. It's very difficult to find parking and they have all the front spaces reserved for pickup even though they do not deliver it to your car? Doesn't make sense to me.

I've been coming here for a while and pretty frequently during my son's football seasons. I love TJ Flats! The servers here are always very friendly and quick and the food is always right out of the kitchen piping hot! My only complaints are about the location's problems but not so much about the food - 1) this place likes to get busy and people like to linger...which means seating is constantly a problem and 2) the parking can be difficult. The parking in the front is limited and you'll be forced to hit the grass for a spot or swing through the alley if you find this area full. There are some spots on the side and the back though. Food here? The flautas and tacos are 2 of my personal faves but I try and rotate through the menu. The sauce bar is always changing and that is all about your personal tastes. If you want salsa, make sure to ask. The side of guacamole is also pretty good. About the only thing I've found that I'm not a fan of is the Bangin' Chicken. Something about their buffalo chicken in a burrito just doesn't do it for me even though I'm a fan of hot wings. Oh well, there are plenty of other choices I do like!

This restaurant is located down the street and across from the Merritt Island Mall. It is located non the north side of the road. There is some parking up front but it can be challenging to park some times. There is seating both inside and outside. Like most Tijuana Flats(TF), you order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. Most TF restaurants have Taco Tuesday which is two tacos, chips and a drink for a low price. They are also known for their sauce bar. The staff was very friendly. I ordered a chicken rice bowl. It was plenty of food and was very good. The prices were reasonable and refills for tea are free.

Please inform our staff immediately. The menus are on tablets. We were served chips and salsa right away. The Salsa was spicy, about a 6 on a scale of 10 for heat. We expressed the salsa was a little too spicy and were offered a salsa verde . We were not told there would be an up charge. I don't mind an up charge if we are told about it. We both ordered the Chimichangas lunch $16.00. It came with rice, refried beans, and a lettuce, tomato onion salad. When a server brought our food to the table, One of the plates was dropped and splattered everywhere with broken dishes. The employees very quickly cleared it up, with abundant apologies. The filling in the chimichangas had a lot of orange oil which ran out when they were cut. Unfortunately the chicken in the Chimichangas was very tough, when it was expressed to our server , I was told that happens . ( What?) This is my third visit before I placed a review. The restaurant itself looked the part and so did the food. ..The atmosphere and presentation of the food were exactly what you'd expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant....Unfortunately, the flavor just wasn't there. We ordered the ceviche..it was lazily slapped together..let's say it's "rustic" style it had about 1oz of tomatoes and a 1/4 of red onion with 3 colossal shrimp cut into chunks in it and a half of avocado for $13. We ordered two kids' enchiladas with rice and beans, a kids' quesadilla, an order of flautas, and a horchata. While everything looked great, almost every dish lacked seasoning and depth of flavor. Ironically, the most flavorful thing we had was the salsa but it came in such a tiny bowl that it was gone after literally four chips. It was about the size of just over a ketchup cup, which wasn't nearly enough for the basket of chips. The horchata was also disappointing. It tasted more like watered-down milk than the rich, cinnamon-flavored drink i was expecting. If you're looking for authentic, bold hispanic flavors, this may leave you disappointed. However, if you're looking for a more diluted, americanized mexican restaurant, this may be exactly what you're looking for. Jonathan's excellent service is the reason this review received 4 stars instead of fewer.

Rahul ordered the California burrito and I ordered La Comadre, which came with 1 bean burrito, 1 enchilada, 1 veggie quesadilla, and veggies/rice on the side. The amount of food was a lot, but the execution just wasn't there. The California burrito was open on both sides, so it was basically impossible to pick up and eat like an actual burrito. My enchilada and bean burrito came out room temperature, and the shredded cheese on the enchilada was completely unmelted. The enchilada sauce was probably the biggest miss for me, it tasted really unfresh and mostly just like canned tomatoes. Service also wasn't great. They do have a nice patio area, which was one of the reasons we wanted to try it, but our server never really checked on us. We had to go inside to ask for my food to be rewarmed and then go inside again to ask for the check. Overall, the portions are huge and the patio is cute, but I wouldn't return based on the food or service.

Inside, we were immediately, warmly greeted and seated. Simple decor. The booths looked hand-carved as we have seen made in Mexico. Pleasant and artistic. Not overdone. Greenish in color, it was beyond delicious with a slight smoky flavor. Never had anything like it. Flavorful and not hot spicy. We also ordered Queso which was also delicious and just the right temperature and consistency. The soft corn tacos arrived. They seemed small although completely filled with pork, chicken, beef, cilantro, and veggies. Delicious. Great flavor. Every bite. The plates were beautiful and looked like they were handmade. Add a cold Mexican Larger in a mug and it was a perfect lunch. The service was excellent. Attentive but not intrusive. Polite. Mannered. Mostly Hits *Magic Chicken was good - if you're a local, El Tucan served a slightly better/fresher version of this dish. Still very good and happy to know where to find it locally. *Birria Tacos were good. Less salty than some of the ones we've had on the island, but less flavorful than some too. Right down the middle. *Service makes both lists since we had 2 and they were polar opposites of one another for us on our last visit. Definite Misses *Salsa was meh. Asked for their spicy salsa next and it was also meh. Not horrible, just ok. Chips were firm and less salty than we like. *Margarita...was not a margarita. It was 90% sour mix and a maybe a splash of something. It wasn't on the menu. When asked, we got a weird non-committal response on it from the server and we pretty much got what we expected when a Mountain Dew looking drink arrived in a beer mug with a straw. Might've been a premixed margarita or one of those malt liquor ones (like the cheap Fireball ones). *Service was spotty. We'll probably go back at some point and try some friend recommendations when we do - fingers crossed. We weren't upset with anything we tried, but we weren't wowed either. Lots of local choices to consider....
